I got scammed by GNP/GPS on my last trip to Venice. When walking by a tabaccheria I noticed a sign that offered postcards including stamps. With great anticipation, I thought this would make a fantastic surprise for my family at home, not knowing that this choice would completely ruin my vacation in the end.

Without any further information, I was handed a paper bag with fancy looking stamps. However, the bag had printed on a strange note saying I was only allowed to put them in orange instead of red mail boxes. Luckily, I read the information before putting my postcards into the red box right in front the store where ironically I had just bought the stamps. During the following evening, I came to the realization that there is not a single orange post box in the entire city of Venice. Moreover, the provided locations on GNP‘s website were all wrong and the QR codes on the stamps not scannable. I spent the rest of my evening desperately searching for one of the orange boxes without any success before I finally had to board my train back home.

Note: I just saw that GNP always replies to bad ratings here in a standardized manner and asks you to contact their customer service. Please do not let yourself be fooled by this since the customer service is not helpful in any way. After having been promised a refund, I got insulted for the numerous negative reviews of other aggrieved customers and even indirectly was made fun of for not using the official Italian Postal Service, not to mention that my refund was completely denied in the end. Do not waste your time and energy on expecting any kind of help from this dubious and incredibly rude company.

Pagato più del classico francobollo, applicazione in realtà inutile, comunica sempre che la cartolina è in viaggio, tempi assurdi per il transito, e quando insperatamente é arrivata a destinazione, la app la segna ancora come in transito.

Ho speso 2euro a francobollo per un totale di 12 euro in un tabacchino al centro di Trapani ,ignara che non fossero di poste italiane ,comunque dopo 1 mese ancora il nulla …ladri Mai piu

€ 2 di francobollo per una cartolina spedita all'interno del territorio in data 17 agosto 2025 e non ancora recapitata dopo più di due settimane risulta "QUASI pronta per la essere distribuita". No comment.

I bought the cards and stamps from a tobacconist in Montepulciano. I wrote them out to send but then I ran into the same problem as many others - where to find an orange mailbox. I found their customers on the GPS website and yesterday in Perugia asked for advice from a tobacconist. The guy said with amusement that they haven't cooperated for a while. I don't feel like looking for orange mailboxes or advice on sending cards anymore. So I'll drop the cards myself into my friends' mailboxes, so they'll get beautiful cards from Italy and be delighted.

Bei den ganzen Negativen Erfahrungen dachte ich, dass meine Karten nicht ankommen werden. Aber: sie haben es geschafft, nach fast vier Wochen Laufzeit. Aber sie sind da. :)
Was allerdings stimmt, die Sendungsverfolgung bringt nicht viel, da ab der italienischen Grenze nichts aktuelles mehr angezeigt wird.
Ich würde nächstes Mal trotzdem die Post oder vatikanische Post nehmen, da geht’s deutlich schneller und günstiger.

Auch ich bin in diese Falle getappt… Ich habe ahnungslos und überteuerte Briefmarken in einem Tabacchi in Italien gekauft. Las aber, dass man die frankierten Postkarten nur in einen orangenen Briefkasten werfen darf - und da wurde ich stutzig.. Ich wollte dann Briefmarken von der italienischen Post kaufen, bekam aber nirgends welche. Früher bekam man in jedem Tabacchi welche (von der Post). Dafür muss man eine Poststelle aufsuchen, und die haben oft kurze oder ungewöhnliche Öffnungszeiten. Ich habe meine Postkarten dann trotzdem in einen GPS Briefkasten geworfen - vor 2 Wochen… und sie sind immer noch unterwegs… Eine absolute Abzocke! Ich verstehe nicht, dass man diese Firma nicht aus dem Verkehr ziehen kann..! Und die einfach weitermachen dürfen!

All die schlechten Bewertungen sind leider angemessen. Komplette Abzocke von Touristen. Briefmarken viel zu teuer, Karten nach 6 Wochen noch nicht angekommen und ein Service ist nicht vorhanden.
Mega ätzend, da so eine schöne Postkarte auch ein Teil des Urlaubs ist.
Super traurig solch ein "Geschäftsmodell" ...

5 Postkarten wurden nach Wochen nicht zugestellt. Nicht zu empfehlen. Vermutlich Betrug.

Unter aller Kanone! 3 Postkarten im Urlaub versendet (15.4.25). Keine ist bisher angekommen. Laut Sendungsverfolgung werden sie immer noch irgendwo sortiert.

Die Ansichtskarte, die von Italien nach Deutschland geschickt wurde und mit einer GPN-Briefmarke frankiert war, ist nach über zwei Wochen nicht beim Adressat angekommen.

Posted a postcard 3 weeks ago. Still not arrived. Seems like a scam.

Never heard of these until I bought postcards in kiosk outside Milan Central Station. It was after ordinary post office hours so was glad to get the offer of stamps for the cards - not realising that a private service would be so far behind any ordinary postal service. The cards still have not arrived whereas cards posted the same day (in the morning by ordinary Italian post) arrived in UK and Ireland. The globe site keeps telling me the cards are nearly ready for distribution!!!!!!! Better to send a text than use that service.

Le cartoline non arrivano, non sono rintracciabili e le paghi pure piu del doppio. Evitatele

J'ai voulu envoyer des cartes au début de mon Erasmus. Je les ai dessinées moi-même et les ai envoyées à 10 personnes différentes. Aucune n'a été reçue à ce jour, après tout ce temps passé à les faire et tout cet argent dépensé. La pire expérience postale de ma vie. Il ne devrait pas y avoir de compagnie privée pour la poste. Je ne pensais même pas que c'était possible et je ne me suis pas du tout posé la question. Je suis dégoûtée.

Carte arrivée à destination, or cela 5 semaines après dépôt dans la boîte prévue à cet effet. C'est bien trop long pour un service soi-disant Express. D'Italie à la Belgique. J'aurais été plus vite à pied. Le tracking (suivi) a bel et bien fonctionné, avec deux-trois étapes intermédiaires. Bien qu'il n'indique pas qu'elle est livrée, elle l'est depuis avant-hier. (Envoi 30 sept. 2024)

Globe Postal Service ist AUF GAR KEINEN FALL ZU EMPFEHLEN. Wer Grüße aus dem Italienurlaub schicken möchte, tut gut daran, Fotos und Texte über Whatsapp zu schicken - die schnellste und beste Lösung. Wer unbedingt Postkarten verschicken möchte, sollte den klassischen Weg über die roten Briefkästen wählen - das dauert zwar meist einige Wochen, aber die Karten kommen in der Regel an. Globale Postal Service ist keine gute Lösung: teurer, die gelben Briefkästen sind schwer zu finden und, vor allem, die Karten kommen nicht an (abgeschickt Mitte September, bis jetzt = Ende Oktober ist von 6 Karten noch keine einzige angekommen, immer noch "on the way to the sorting hub" - na sicher!) Ein Stern ist noch viel zu viel für NULL LEISTUNG. Ich betone nochmals: NICHT zu empfehlen!!!

BETRUGSMASCHE - auf alle Fälle vermeiden!

Auch ich habe unglücklicherweise in Venedig Briefmarken von diesem "Service" gekauft. Daraufhin habe ich mehrere Tage meines Urlaubs damit verbracht, einen passenden Briefkasten zu finden. Der Locationfinder, den es dafür gibt, war leider komplett unbrauchbar, an den meisten angegebenen Orten befand sich überhaupt nichts.

Rund ein Monat später ist die Karte laut Tracking noch immer auf dem Weg zum "Sorting Hub".

Edit 28.11.: Nach ca. 10 Wochen ist die Karte angekommen. Ich würde diesen "Service" dennoch weiterhin nicht empfehlen. Der Trackingstatus ist übrigens unverändert.
