Great service , returned all calls promptly .
Went above and beyond to get our product when they found they were out of stock . Couldn't ask for better service plus speedy delivery and great prices .

The people at the service have been great at couple of warranty claims come in last Saturday for 4 warranty claim. Got the sort in coulpe of hour for me I had some over problem aswell. They even took the time to sort them out when I was there. Have to say they have looked after us. Thanks

Purchased a screen mesh house from them with waterproof sides. It arrived battered and covered in tape so had either been opened or was damaged. There were no waterproof sides. I requested a prepaid label for return but this led to a lengthy text conversation back and forth while we argued over terminology. I described one set of sides as mesh and the others as ‘solid’ ie no holes. One of the comments was you can’t collapse a tent with solid sides - it was getting silly. I’m suffering severe illness and didn’t need the hassle and had to contact Amazon to get them to send me a prepaid label. Seems if you have a problem with this company the customer service is dire as you can see from the other one star reviews and the corresponding replies.

We’ve recently taken delivery of our new van from Glossop. From start to finish Glossop were superb. We had to delay the process due to a medical problem and all the staff were understanding
, sympathetic and patient. The handover was very professional, we are absolutely delighted with the entire process!
Special thanks to Eddie, but everyone we dealt with were marvelous, thoroughly recommended.

One Star is Too Generous – Dangerous Product & Dishonest Service

We bought a new caravan from this company and soon discovered serious electrical issues. Water leak and shower not draining,They claimed it was a battery, but we believe it was much worse. Thankfully, the carbon monoxide alarm worked — or someone could have died.

Their response was dishonest and evasive. They refused to face us and tried to avoid returning our part exchange and £29,420 — only when my husband refused to leave did they act.

We also lost a £360 holiday due to the fault. Despite emails promising reimbursement, they’re now refusing to pay because we rejected the van. We are taking them to small claims court and have reported them to Trading Standards.

This company hides behind staff, avoids accountability, and shows no concern for customer safety or fairness. Do not trust them.

Usually I shy away from reviews unless they're extremely good or there's something fundamentality wrong with the service I received.

Glossop is extremely good at selling and I mean GOOD, when setting out the stall to get you to buy a caravan anything is possible everything is doable nothing is a problem.

You sign on the dotted line then, all of a sudden, "btw... forgot to mention it doesn't have a battery"... ohhh ok, that's another near £100... (in the grand scheme of things it's not the money, but it's extremely annoying and considering it was a year ago and it stuck in my head, you can imagine my feelings at the time).

Now for the service,

Booked it in, all good, delivered the caravan and left it.

The caravan was in for a service and a new motor mover as the good ol' pot holes of Scotland had obliterated the old one, so far so good, a motor mover was sourced.

From here is where things started to go down hill,

Communication is severely lacking (and I mean, from trying to speak to someone and never quite getting through to the right person), the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. 2 quotes for the motor mover from 2 different people, methods of payment were also up for debate.

When the service report came back the customer service agent couldn't quite explain the meaning of the report, essentially copied the service sheet into the email (I work better with emails given it's in writing and I have a day job). Upon queriny the items, there were issues in there that weren't present when I delivered the caravan, but ok... nothing THAT serious, so let's just carry on.

Finally when coming to pick up the caravan, guess what? The battery was dead, so the new motor mover that I wanted to see working before I left wouldn't shift, not to mention that getting out of the site would have been easy, but then parking it back on the parking site would have been a "Hulk" moment as with no juice, no motor mover. But ok... there's a reason I go to the gym... let's carry on...

And what made me write this review? When doing the pre-leaving checks the lights on whole right side of the caravan didn't work. No signal lights, no stop light, no marker light, nada.

So Glossop did the service and didn't do the necessary checks to make sure the Caravan was road legal!

Result? I had to leave the Caravan behind another 2 days to get the items above resolved.

Now, here's the kicker...

I come back... on Friday, having to take the Friday afternoon off, through all the traffic (ever tried to get to Glossop from Manchester?) to make sure I had the caravan back... and guess what?

Lights on the right side of the caravan? - STILL NOT FIXED -

annnddd.... I was given the keys (again) with the... everything is fine... you can go thumbs up.

So... sat for another 30m/1h for a technician to come out and fix it.

In conclusion,

I'm not coming back, it's all about getting the van's out the door, customer service, communication, follow-up's et al are severely lacking.

There's something fundamentally wrong with this department and I for one, would rather pay more and make sure I have all the above done right and communication be there then be in the middle of nowhere wondering if I need to fix something that was overlooked.

Use at your own peril.

Recently purchased a static caravan from Glossop Caravans and from the moment we walked in and started having a look around the Leisure Homes compound we were helped by Jeff who is an absolute credit to the company. Being a complete novice in Statics, nothing was too much trouble for Jeff who helped with and explained everything from the structure of the caravan, to the siting of it, what materials were needed, even took time to show me in the workshop the different things needed in order to to site the caravan safely. Jeff has kept fully in touch with delivery and site visit times and even took the time to answer questions out of his normal working hours. What Jeff doesn't know about statics isn't probably worth knowing. Jeff works above and beyond most I have met . Ps very happy with the caravan itself (Willerby Aspen 37) PPs would like to add that the rest of the staff I encountered at Glossop caravans were also very helpful and informative.

Our caravan was hit from behind while towing, which caused significant cosmetic damage including a hole in the aluminium skin.
It went into Glossop Caravans service centre for insurance repair and l have to say, they've done a fantastic job on it, the caravan looks like new.
Also the staff were friendly and the repairs were completed within the promised time.
The caravan was returned washed and valeted, and they kept to the quoted price.
Overall l can't fault the service l received.

We purchased a new awning from Glossop Caravans just over a year ago which was fine but we decided we could do with a bit more space, I rang Dominic in the Awning Dept who couldn’t have been more helpful, I explained what we wanted and he gave me some good advice and did me a fantastic deal, I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my caravans and awnings and can highly recommend Dominic and Glossop Caravans

I ordered an awning at the Newark Motorhome and caravan show.. the service was great . But I am yet to receive my awning after almost a week!! I have contacted the company and there has been no communication on delivery of this item. After paying in full.

I have been contacted by the company and this has now been resolved after a miscommunication of delivery times . Thanks by getting back to me .

More than Satisfied! I telephoned a few caravan awning places trying to get hold of mesh panels for dometic awning - nothing in stock. I contacted Glossop Caravans and spoke with Dominic who explained they too didn’t have them in stock for our size of awning but had others for a size that was no longer manufactured and that, even though they would be a little too big, I could have them free of charge. We were on holiday on the south coast, I asked if I paid for postage could they be sent. Dominic said no problem at all and arranged it beautifully, even adding our name and pitch number so that they arrived safely with us on site. Massive thank you Dominic, and Glossop Caravans, above and beyond I’d say….. certainly compared to many others. Much appreciated.

We purchased our caravan from Oldham caravans in failsworth, apparently this is where the older caravans were sold.
This was all new to us and our first caravan, unsure as to whether it was for us or not.
We didn’t pay a massive amount of money £3,400 however the van was 22 years old so what you would expect. But still our money at the end of the day.
Now this is the shocking part , the part I can’t get over, on returning home from work and driving up the cul de sac I noticed something hanging down from the underneath of the caravan, I parked up and went over , I got down under the van , it was a medical dressing about 5 x 4 inch’s that had been stuck over a whole and then sprayed over with some sort of paint so you wouldn’t see it.
I’m so shocked, obviously the dressing had been placed there to hide the hole,
I’m just so shocked and can’t believe they would go to this length to hide things.
Hence we won’t be returning

The staff on the stand were very helpful and provided some really useful information in regard to the windbreak were currently considering adding to our Dometic Air Rally 330 AS.

Very pleasant salesperson at the motorhome show. Gave us great ideas and happy to get prices for things that weren't on display.
