Friendly helpful staff at the Newark Motorhome Show today. Just purchased a Vango Kela Pro Low with carpet and pump. Bargain.

The two gentlemen at the newark show were very knowledgeable and extremely heloful, giving us handy tips, even informing us of a Michelin starred restaurant near our next motorhome campsite.

Order a size 15 awning with tall annexe. Arrived within a couple of days. Looking forward to its first outing.

Had difficulty sorting out interest free terms for an awing but Scott eventually worked it out and we took the awing home .next day we received another awing and rang to say that it needed fetching. To our surprise the owner fetched it anawing carpet for our honesty. Thanks Glossop

Bought brand new motorhome Oct 2024 - absolutely zero after sales even to the point of no gas included (told we’d be asked whether we wanted one bottle or two but never asked us😱) and their shop, which should’ve been open, has shut early!!!
Now only just over SIX months old - and now got a major fault and unsafe to drive.
Phone gossip caravans which were not much use even tho under warranty.
Not impressed

Glossop caravans have now come back to us but even with his intervention the earliest any of their dealer contacts can even look at it is the middle of June. And then they’d need to order parts and then fit them!!
WERE due to go on holiday in 3 days 😩

i was sold a caravan with a major fault and my wife submitted an honest review. Glossop replied with a generic response and i want to respond to their reply but cant find a way to do that so will add a new post.

We have had the caravan since august 2022 and have had many great holidays in the van, we loved it. blissfully unaware. We recently took it to a dealer to upgrade to a bigger van and on their inspection they found a major damp problem and very old tyres. Glossop responded to our post saying they would have liked to have been consulted and they they had sold the van with a warranty.
The problem is, we were not aware we had a problem until we took it to another dealer, so how could we have done anything under the warranty (now expired), or consulted them on something we knew nothing about.

We dropped off the van at the new dealer for them to inspect and within 15 mins they had found the damp issue and the old repair that had been done, also the 11 year old tyres.
This raises two issues for me.
1) Glossop new about the issue but sold the caravan regardless.
2) Their inspection process/workshop skills are frankly dire.

The tyres on the van are 11 years old and should be changed after 5 as the rubber perishes (so the new dealer informs me) Obviously the tread still looks good because the van dose not do many 1000's of miles, again, we are totally unaware of this until the new dealer points this out. For this reason alone the van was not even road worthy at the time it was sold.

Either way we have lost £10,000 pounds in 2 years 9 months, which is shocking to say the least.

The new dealer has a very good reputation with a five star workshop rating. The inspector took me into the van and showed me the damp readings from all areas of the van. The worst spot, and where the repair had been attempted had a 90 reading when the accepted should be 15. He also pointed out the incorrect seal that had been used around the top of the van (which also caused i high damp reading in the top lockers.

My wife and i are absolutely gutted that we have been sold such an awful van and cannot believe how much money we have lost.

This is the first time i have ever posted a review, but i am so angry with Glossop that i had to vent my fury with them.

Bought an awning off Glossops and the sales process was a complete pleasure, quick efficient and helpful. Their after sales is awful. The online chat service is great when buying but when asking for help they claim they’re too busy and to send an email. I have emailed and sent WhatsApp which is indicated on website and they do not respond or even read. Been waiting over 6 weeks now with nothing. Take your money then do not care about customers. Would never do business again

Would give 0 stars if I could. Bought a caravan from them 2.5 yrs ago. Went to a local dealer to upgrade last week and the problems came to light. Eleven year old tyres on a 10 year old van! (tyres should be replaced after five years no matter what tread is left on them, so it should never have been sold with them on). The rear bathroom had been repaired very poorly behind the rear wardrobe and this area is showing 92% damp, we were never informed of this. All seals have been sealed with the incorrect sealant for caravans. We have basically been offered scrap value. We have lost over £10000 in 2.5 yrs despite the van still being seemingly in great condition. Be Very, very wary buying from this so called reputable dealer. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER.

Very easy web site and ordering was a doddle. Can't give a proper rating as I haven't received my tent yet. No contact since the order and still waiting for despatch.

I truely don't know where to start!
I rang Glossop caravans to enquire about a used caravan on their pitch at £17000. I asked Shaun, the salesman who took my call to have a good look around it for me and ring me back with an honest appraisal as we are 1 1/2 hours away and couldn't get to view it for nearly 2 weeks due to commitments. He came back with i quote "I can't believe how good condition it is for the age of the caravan" For reference the caravan was a 2018. On this i placed a holding deposit which was returnable should we not be happy on inspection.
When we arrived we saw the sold sign in the window with our name on it and people inside it looking around!!! Not a good start! Before fetching Shaun out we had a look on our own. What a horror! It was absolutely awful! The roof was thick in green as they are when not washed for years, it had a crack in the A frame, a great scratch on the back panel, loads of dings and something had been spilt down the O/S covering a good area which had permanently stained the GRP. Inside was seriously worn to the point where I think it had been lived in it was that bad.
Someone called Gabbi came up saying " you shouldn't really be in here as its sold" when I said yes, to me, he was put straight on teh back foot! I asked how a company could happily display such a poor filthy caravan? He said don't worry it'll be cleaned before its collected. How about cleaning something before displaying it?!!! These are expensive items. I said we wont be having it but as we've travelled up on Shauns lies we will see anything else will suit us. We even upped our budget to £25k to try and find something better. After looking at 100 plus caravans and was frankly absolutely astonished how poor the quality of the used stock was. According to Gabbi, they don't clean anything until it's been sold as they can't afford to do it twice!
Anyway, I said we'd like our deposit which Gabbi said he would tell Shaun to arrange. This was 2 weeks ago. After speaking to Shaun after a few days as we hadnt recieved it he assured me it had been sorted but can take 5-7 days to land in my bank. Fair enough. After another week i rang again and spoke to Lee in accounts who told me Shaun hadn't done anything about but he would do it immediately, which he has as it has landed in the bank today. I have held back from doing this review as I wanted to make sure I got my deposit back first.

To finish off, this site looks fantastic, it truely does, but that is where it stops! Maybe buying new would be different but the quality of used stock, Lying staff and complete lack of any decent customer service makes it an absolute no from me! We will never deal with Glossop caravans again. The same weekend we went to Lowdhams at Nottingham, we bought a beautiful Caravan, with a great deal and truely fantastic service. I'll let you make your own mind up where to go for your next caravan.

We bought new an Elddis Chatsworth 840 2022 from Glossop caravans. The original delivery date was delayed by nine months and therefore we missed the whole of the summer and didn’t get it until September, a year after ordering. Since having the caravan we’ve had water ingress issues. To date has taken nearly 9 months to resolve after informing the dealer. At point of writing it is actually at the dealer. I appreciate some of this is down to Elddis directly however they are a main dealer for Elddis and should take some responsibility as well. At no point has there been any apology for any of this form Glossop or Elddis, just seems to be acceptable that it is the norm.
We are currently looking to sell the unit and cannot until this is resolved so we are being hit financially because of the lack of customer care.

Hi to all this is to confirm my experience at the service centre, over the last 24months of owning a new caravan , I’ve found the reception staff very helpful and understanding , when it came to warranty claims I found one person who has gone above and beyond to help us sort out our faults on the van , she is absolutely spot on , never have I come across a person so dedicated in helping with faults she is fantastic at her job , many thanks E for all your input and would not hesitate in recommend the service section to anyone who needs help and advise well done and thanks again , what a good experience I’ve had , thanks again ,an Elddis owner BB12 7 LJ
