prompt and reliable transcription
I found GMR transcription to be very easy to work with and they provided very prompt and well done transcription. I would use this company again for other transcription needs. Payment for services, uploading interviews and downloading the transcriptions were all very easy. My only complaint is that your website indicates that you do consent form translations. This would be a wonderful service and we requested a sample of a consent form or other document translated into Spanish. We were unable to obtain any samples (except for a transcription-which is not helpful) and had to look elsewhere for this service because we could not judege the quality of your translation. :(

Excellent service - fast & accurate
Very impressed with the fast turnaround time and the accuracy of the transcription. Our webcasts are very technical in nature and often have speakers with different accents and the transcriptions are always 98%+ accurate when I receive them. When there is a question, the text is highlighted with the exact location in question, making it very easy to find the audio location and fix it. Price is also very reasonable.

Upload process was cumbersome.
Not our 1st time using this service and upload process hindered us in getting our files in a timely manner. Did work with us on reducing rush rate that we appreciated to keep our business.

Very impressed
I sent several files for transcription. They all were transcribed extremely well and were delivered more quickly than promised. The price was very reasonable. When I called with a question I got an answer right away – from a live person. I'm very busy and really appreciate that level of customer support.

Prompt and professional transcription service
I recently submitted nearly four hours of recorded oral history to GMR Transcription. Much of this informal spoken history, recorded ten years ago by an elderly close relative, made reference to many geographical locations (sometimes obscure); the names of many friends and relatives; and the names of artists, classical musicians and dancers, operas, and ballets. It was a challenging project that needed to be handled by a well-educated, patient individual with a good general knowledge of history and American culture.
GMR returned the finished transcript well within the promised deadline period. I have since checked the transcript against the original recordings, doing some further editing and checking and correction of some proper-noun spellings and punctuation. Overall, I found the work to be very good to excellent, despite some shortcomings when the speaker's presentation seemed unclear or confusing. Most impressive were the transcriber's efforts to look up names and terms on the internet, a time-consuming effort that resulted in wonderful clarifications of people and places. She/he did not always succeed in getting things right, but it would have been unreasonable to expect more.
If I could thank the transcriber personally for the care and attention paid to this project, I would do so. I would not hesitate to send another transcription project to GMR.
