Very Disappointing Customer Service

We travelled from London as genuine buyers interested in properties marketed by haart Basildon. After receiving a parking charge during our visit, Haart Basildon were unfortunately not helpful when we asked for assistance. They were happy to arrange another viewing, and I requested information about parking arrangements and never received a response.

An existing homeowner also told us they regularly receive PCNs, even after purchasing.

Overall, very poor communication and customer service from haart and Sempra Homes. Not the experience I would expect when considering spending hundreds of thousands on a property.

As agent marketing new properties, I would expect parking arrangements for prospective buyers. No wonder you guys were rated 3star!

Somehow Haart estate agents have got my number!! even though we've sold through another estate agent, & I have never contacted them in any capacity. I get constant calls,i have blocked them, spoken to them & asked them not to call me, & yet still getting constant voicemail. I will be reporting them to the ICO

I honestly have nothing bad to say about my experience selling with them. From the moment Jake came to do the valuation, I felt completely at ease — everything moved quickly from there, and the property was on the market in no time. We had regular weekly updates from Haart, and both Chloe and Georgia were fantastic throughout.

Special shoutout to Chloe — she was always smiling, full of energy, and had a great way with viewers. They always seemed to leave laughing and in good spirits, which definitely helped. From start to finish, I had zero complaints. The valuation was spot on, and the communication was excellent the whole way through.

had a very bad experience with Haart agents while trying to buy a property. I felt pressured and manipulated throughout the process. They seemed impulsive and insisted that I use their recommended broker—almost as if it was a condition for proceeding with the sale. This made me feel very uncomfortable and disappointed. Buying a home is stressful enough without being forced into using specific services. I wouldn’t recommend them based on my experience.

Aggressive, intrusive, pushy cold calls from Haart again. Twice in the last few months my house has gone on the market with another estate agent. Haart then saw my property on Rightmove, worked out my address from Google maps and got my mobile number somehow. When I asked how they got my number they said they bought telephone data from a third party provider. The first time they called me (October 2024) I was on holiday. Their calls are pushy and intrusive, asking questions about how happy you are with your current estate agent / why are you selling your house and I wasted time trying to verify that they were genuinely Haart and not burglars targeting my home.
My house has gone back on the market (January 2025) and immediately I’m getting calls from Haart again. Two so far today. Each time I tell them to remove my data and I block their calls but they are persistent. Avoid them, they are unscrupulous and untrustworthy.

Just been able to secure myself my first property with Haart Basildon. Josh was very polite and helpful with all of my enquiries, I would highly recommend this agency.

I recently had the pleasure of working with the team at Haart Basildon, and I must say, their knowledge and expertise are truly impressive. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and valued as a client. The staff’s deep understanding of the local market and their willingness to go above and beyond to meet my needs left a lasting impression on me.

Not only did they listen attentively to my requirements, but they also provided invaluable insights and guidance throughout the process. Their professionalism and dedication were evident every step of the way, making the experience smooth and stress-free.

After making an offer and having it accepted, we were immediately bombarded with their mortgage offers and solicitor services. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of opting for their solicitor firm, leading to another series of frustrations. Upon receiving the survey results and expressing a desire to negotiate with the vendor, we expected to liaise with Rebecca, our designated contact. However, we were surprised when Daniel, the manager, intervened instead, He advised us not to take the survey results too seriously and warned us against antagonizing the vendor, suggesting they might withdraw from the deal. Additionally, the survey we paid for seemed pointless. Every aspect of the property was flagged as problematic in the report, yet Daniel acted as if he were an expert in building properties, dismissing the severity of the issues. It made us question the value of paying for a survey in the first place, especially when the results were blatantly disregarded. Moreover, the advice provided often felt one-sided, tailored more towards advancing the sale on the vendor's terms rather than navigating a path that respected both parties' interests. In several instances, this advice seemed to overlook my concerns as a buyer entirely, suggesting a lack of understanding or, worse, a lack of willingness to engage with my perspective. However, this raises a significant question: shouldn't there be equal concern for the buyer's position? While we understand the importance of commissions from the vendor, it's crucial to balance this with respect for the buyer's perspective. The attitude displayed throughout this process was disappointingly off-mark, making it a challenging experience to endure. Adding to our frustrations, we later discovered from the solicitors that the property/land wasn't even registered. The only bright spot in this ordeal was Chloe, who proved to be helpful; the rest, unfortunately, fell short of expectations and could greatly benefit from additional training. A more balanced, fair, and respectful approach would not only benefit future clients but could significantly enhance the reputation and success of your agency… Instead of the vendor pulling out, we ended up pulling out. So, think carefully about how you speak to buyers; listen to them first before giving nonsensical advice!

Disgusting service from the office had a viewing rung me 3 times I traveled over a hour to the house to be told ten minutes before the viewing they can't come then didn't answer the phone when I called wouldn't recommend them I'll bee taking this further!!!

What a joke!
After a valuation in June, and Jake making a ridicules valuation 50k under identical properties on the market we decided not to proceed. They contacted us again this week, so I thought I’d listen to their pitch. I shouldn’t have bothered as they cannot do the maths! Just insulting people.
Property prices have dropped by 4% on average since this time last year not 20% !! I’ve done my research and checked regularly against the same properties in the area, identical Redrow house and our price was significantly below their asking prices but apparently I need to drop another 75k (100k) behave Jake and go back to school.
I would never sell with Haart they are just after a quick sale !

Should have listened to my head.

I’ve had a great experience with Haart Basildon estate agents. I would like to thank Charlie for helping me find my first home which I thought was never going to happen. Charlie was extremely focused on helping me and professional throughout.
Also Chloe I only met briefly for a visit, but again very professional and friendly.
And lastly Rebecca who has kept me up to date & checking in with me to see if I had any questions etc Rebecca made me feel like I wasn’t alone through the process which has been really nice.

Fantastic service!
We sold our House through Haart Basildon in October 2021. We are so happy we chose Haart. Mikey came to value our property and that same evening we had our advert online. The photographs were so professionally done. The two Dan’s were always available for our viewings. The fantastic ladies in the office (Louise and Lisa) were with us every step of the way dealing with solicitors from both parties. We had weekly updates that then turned into daily updates. We can’t thank the great team at Basildon enough. We had a very merry Christmas in our new home 🥂
