Completing the insurance quote online took a bit of practice to ensure you selected the correct cover but once I got used to it was ok. It would help if you could provide a summary of all the information provided and allow it to be amended before agreeing to purchase and completing the Direct debit/ bank information

Nice and straightforward with good level of cover. Compared to other insurers and by choosing Healthy Pets I have saved almost £300 a year for very similar cover

I am a little disappointed
I am a little disappointed. I took out the Bronze policy and didn't appreciate that the £1,000 cap on it wasn't annual but per illness (unlike the excess!). Whilst I accept that is my own stupid fault a reminder that I was near my limit might have been helpful. So I have ended up with a vet bill either way.

This is a company that can be trusted. I have been with them for many years. they have always paid
every claim I have made. I have taken out a new policy for my new dog. The person I talked to listened to what I wanted, was easy to talk to, was very pleasant, and made the whole process easy an quick. I can't fault Healthy pets and would certainly recommend them. The price was also good, great service.

For my 9yr old cocker spaniel the…
For my 9yr old cocker spaniel the premium is becoming ridiculously high considering we have never had a claim. If you cancel your old policy at renewal time and start again as a fresh customer (all done on the same phone call) we saved approximately £300 , however if your dog has a pre-existing condition this would no longer be covered, fortunately ours doesn’t.

I received my new quote for my cats health insurance, but found it had increased. I phoned to query this & spoke to a really helpful member of staff. She explained why it had gone up & between us we sorted out a new plan that was more suitable to my budget. She was very helpful & professional & once I had answered all her questions, she completed the transaction & sent an email straight away to confirm everything.

Inflated prices at renewal
A reasonable level of cover for a reasonable premium, BUT only after I rang their renewals team to complain that they had not only raised my premium by 30% for the previous year, but they were also offering the exact same policy via a comparison website 70% cheaper than my renewal quote . Clearly just blatantly exploiting existing customers with inflated premiums with the assumptions that customers don’t check quotes. If you can offer the same premium to a new customer for 70% less than an existing customer when the insured risk & material facts are the same, then don’t be surprised to be viewed as greedy & deceitful. I only renewed as they price matched their premium to new customers which was then cheaper than competitors. Here’s a thought to this & every other large organisation, why not act with integrity & treat your customers fairly rather than alienate & antagonise them ?. Another load of nonsense seems this auto policy renewal unless you cancel, which most companies make opting out difficult in the hope you won’t notice their inflated premiums at renewal.
* Following the company’s response to my review I must point out that my pet does not have any pre existing medical conditions that would have affected the renewal premium. Shame on you healthy pets for attempting to fabricate untrue scenarios to justify poor customer service. You can expect a formal complaint shortly regarding your response to my review.
