The Iberostar Selection Kantoui Bay

The Iberostar Selection Kantoui Bay, although in my estimation, not a 5 star hotel, the staff make the difference.

The cheerfulness, constant attention and cleanliness it appears is what is holding up this ‘tired’ once acclaimed 5 star property. The Iberostar brand can only be maintained if the ‘management’ invest in upgrading the overused parts of this magnificent property.

I feel I must commend Amelie, the supervisor of the cleaning and management of the fourth
floor who listened and understood my Complaint and worked quickly and efficiently to rectify what could have ended up as a disaster!

As someone who has worked in the travel and tourism industry for over 50 years, 25 of which was running my own high end tour operation business successfully in London, I have designed some of the most luxurious tailor-made tours around the world. Being my first visit to Tunisia, I was impressed by the people I came across and I have every intention of returning, more likely to share my experience with the rest of my family.

IBEROSTAR LAGUNA AZUL CUBA DECEPCIONANTE
1. La reserva en los restaurantes de especialidades resultó imposible, a menos que llegaras el sábado. Esto se debe a que el domingo por la mañana se abren las reservas para toda la semana, permitiendo que los clientes ya alojados ocupen todas las pocas reservas disponibles. Además, el día del registro no se permiten reservas en estos restaurantes y solo están abiertos para cenar. Para colmo, la última noche en el japonés, al cocinero le salieron dos mini cucarachas de la comida e intento matarlas sin que nos diésemos cuenta, pero finalmente empezaron a pasearse por la mesa. Si la parte de cliente ya tiene ese aspecto, no quiero saber cómo estará la cocina.
2. La calidad de la comida fue muy baja, aunque entendemos las limitaciones en Cuba, esperábamos una mejor experiencia, especialmente comparada con otros establecimientos en Trinidad o La Habana. Además, notamos que los restaurantes de especialidades ofrecían la misma comida que el buffet libre, simplemente presentada de manera diferente.
3. A pesar de la publicidad en línea que promocionaba barbacoas de langosta y otros platos, no tuvimos la oportunidad de disfrutar de estas opciones. Cuando indagamos al respecto, recibimos una respuesta sarcástica de un cocinero, lo cual refleja una falta de atención al cliente.
4. Las actividades acuáticas no se llevaron a cabo y encontramos los barcos y kayaks cadenados en la playa. El personal no brindó una explicación satisfactoria, simplemente indicaron que el equipo del recinto náutico no estaba disponible.
5. Las actividades recreativas como yoga y baile fueron escasas y solo se llevaron a cabo después de presentar una queja al servicio de atención al cliente.
6. También encontramos problemas en el mantenimiento de nuestras instalaciones, incluyendo problemas con la cerradura de nuestra habitación, falta de limpieza adecuada y áreas del hotel que parecían abandonadas o en mal estado.
7. La actitud de los empleados es lamentable respecto al cliente, hay que rogar para que te sirvan una bebida o que te ayuden con cualquier pregunta relacionada con el hotel.
8. Bebidas había básicamente agua, ron y esporádicamente algún refresco. En los 4 días no pudimos tomar ningún mojito de verdad, ya que no había ni agua con gas ni Sprite, todos se hicieron con agua normal.
A pesar de estas deficiencias, reconocemos que la ubicación del hotel ofrece acceso a una hermosa playa con vistas a los cayos, aunque este aspecto es común en otros establecimientos de la zona. Y el único punto a favor, es de verdad la amabilidad de algunos empelados, como los de atención al cliente (si fuesen todos como ellos, la estancia hubiese cambiado mucho) y el director del hotel, que en todo momento estaba atento y haciendo lo máximo que puede con el estado de este hotel. Ellos son lo único positivo que nos llevamos.

Wir waren im Iberostar selection…

Wir waren im Iberostar selection varadero das Essen war nicht gut die Sauberkeit auch nicht wir waren 20 Tage für 6800 Euro unverschämt.
Letztes Jahr waren wir im Iberostar Grand Bavaro das war super Essen top Sauberkeit Top . Super Getränkeauswahl.
Leider sind die so mit dem Preis nach oben gegangen wir haben 2022 6600 Euro gezahlt jetzt wären es 10700 ein no go

BE AWARE!

BE AWARE!! These people will take your reservation money and will not refund it even if you change your dates. Tried contacting the hotel directly and won't even take my calls. The lady in charge of reception - Leslie Barbieri - didn't even try to understand my situation and the reason why I changed my reservation dates. All in all I'm out of $1200.00 and no resolution from Iberostar in Lima, Peru. Lesson learned

DO NOT WASTE TIME OR MONEY ON THIS SCAM OF A PLACE.
Here's a quick summary if you do not wish to read my paragraph:
-staff was only friendly if they think they'll get money from you
-they have peddlers at every corner (this was somewhat of a culture stock to us) and even when you said no they would follow you
-its way too crowded-you can't reserve anything. You have to wake up extremely early to try to get seats at the beach but good luck
-place is gross-one day we came back from a fishing trip because my husband was severely seasick...once back in the lobby he threw up quite a bit of stomach bile and blood-it wasn't cleaned up and he was laughed at for puking (he didn't drink either, he was just very sick and close to needing a hospital)
-food was NASTY-it was cold, tough, has no flavor, we even got to the buffet when they opened. All food (even chicken, fried rice, beef) taste like fish
-we saw cockroaches in the buffets
-only one buffet was open at a time-theres no 24/7 food or room service
-small shops in the middle of restort were selling lost stuff like people sunglasses and hats
-you are only allowed 2 reservations to the actual restaurants. You can only go to two and some items on the menu cost you
-the "credits" you get are actually just coupons
-there is no real conservation. We're very big on that and we're very excited to see what they did there. The ponds and little places were a joke. The "coral lab" they advertise is nothing and no one was even there to say anything about it.
-most of the things you would want to do are at the better resorts, Punta Cana just has food and alcohol...but you have to pay for the nicer stuff.
This place was like a living hell. It was as if the moment my husband and me arrived we were easy targets since it was our first time out of the states. The moment we set foot in the lobby nothing was explained to us about the app or anything, just given our room keys and said "oh first time, we will have you come for a special breakfast." Okay cool. We get to our room-tv didn't work and the bathroom was kind of dirty. The following day we go to the lobby to try to get some explanations on now things worked and they just went back to the breakfast and said just use the app. Not friendly or helpful at all. Come to find out this "breakfast" is actually a "subscription" thing they have and it's basically a time share-a total waste of money and MAJOR scam. They kept saying that the breakfast was nicer food but it ended up being the same extremely gross food we had at our own resort. We were passed around to 6 different people during that dumb sales pitch and once they finally got the hint we weren't going to buy into it, they left us to walk back to our resort without anyway of knowing which way to go and in the rain. During said stupid pitch the promised 70 CASH. Well you get IberoCASH instead, only good for the restort. At the point we are begging for our travel agent to find us a way out of here. We went to dinner at not the buffet and THIS IS THE ICING ON THE CAKE. Not everything is included in this "all inclusive" restort. At the restaurant my husband got lobster which was 65 US dollars. So once we got the bill we tried to give them the IberoCASH, and even the room money in case that's how they charged it. The waiter said no, cash only. He made me stay until my husband ran to our room to get the money. It was only when after the waiter counted it, he then took our room number. Furious, we go to the lobby to figure out what the hell this place is and they dismissed us. It was not until I lost of crap in the lobby balling loudly yelling "I hate it here" over and over that someone finally helped. Even when we explained they still dismissed it and everything else we explained-somehow we got our money back after about 40-60 of fighting and me balling my eyes out on front of people. That's when we were able to leave this nightmare.
We hardly left our room due to how much anxiety this place gave us

Avoid Iberostar Grand Rose Hall

edit:- We did receive a courtious reply from the manager on 10th Feb which was welcome

We stayed at Iberostar Grand Rose Hall, Montego Bay, Jamaica. We had issues every single day of our week long stay. Things that should have been sorted just weren't. Our holiday was more stressful trying to sort the issues, than our normal daily life. I was given the name of the hotel manager - Mr David Lopez, and had a conversation with him, whilst staying at the hotel. He gave me his e-mail address and asked me to write once I was home. He asked for concise details of all the issues we encountered. We did this nine days ago, but have never received a reply, let alone an acknowledgement that he has read our e-mail. I would avoid this company. They lie to make you go away, and do not deliver on their booking conditions. This was not a cheap option for us, and we feel we wasted the entire amount that we spent on the holiday.

Mafia-Methoden bei schlechter Leistung

Abzocke ist die einzige Bezeichnung die ich für diese Hotelgruppe verwenden kann. Wir müssten umdisponieren und benötigten 1 zusätzliche Nacht bei insgesamt 16 gebuchten Nächten. Das Zimmer war verfügbar und nicht belegt. Die Hotelleitung berechnete satte 680 Euro für 1, ich wiederhole 1 Nacht im Doppelzimmer. Online Preis 225 Euro. Nach langer Diskussion, wurden 20% Rabatt gewährt. Trotzdem eine bodenlose Unverschämtheit. Mafia-Methoden. Über die Leistungen im Hotel werde ich auf der Hotelseite meine Bewertung schreiben.

Wij hebben een droomvakantie gehad in…

Wij hebben een droomvakantie gehad in palma de Mallorca. Mede door de gastvrijheid van hotel iberostar cristina. Wat een top hotel. Hele lieve medewerkers die dag en nacht paraat staan. Geen enkele vraag is hun teveel. Ipv als klant behandelen ze jou als familie. Van de receptie tot de gastheer tot de mensen van het animatie team. Animatie was op en top daar. Ook in de wintertijd. Wij verbleven er vanaf 14 januari 2024 voor een week. En wat hebben we genoten er van. Mooi verzorgde kamers. Een heerlijk binnen zwembad. Een mooi buitenzwembad maar die was natuurlijk gesloten vanwege de wintertijd. Al bij al toch nog gemiddeld 22 graden gehad terwijl er 17 graden werd aangegeven. Het eten was voortreffelijk. Zoveel keuze dat je niet eens meer kon kiezen. Iedere dag ook wat anders. De animatie was top. Zeker drie keer per dag werd er wel wat georganiseerd. Voor kinderen door de dag en de volwassen in de avonden. Bingo bv om 4 uur. En in de avond live music. Of acrobaten. Quiz avond. Flamenco dansers. Een dagje uit werd ook georganiseerd en zat in het pakket. Optredens. Etc etc etc. Heerlijke cocktails. Ondanks dat je in mallorca enkel maar gratis alcohol krijgt tijdens het diner of lunch ( omwille de wetgeving) kwamen ze iedere avond wel langs met een drankje van het huis. Tijdens de animatie. De ene dag een heerlijke mojito. Andere dag kon je kiezen tussen een averna of limoncello. We hadden all inclusive en kwamen niks te kort. Het strand van platja de palma ligt op nog geen 50 meter. Enkel de straat oversteken en je bent er. Veel dingen in de buurt te doen. De bus stopt voor de deur en voor twee euro ben je in palma stad of de prachtige kathedraal. En dat op geen 15 minuten. Op de straat waar cristina zich begeeft heb je een mooi aquarium. Een kleine twee kilometer verder. Dit kan je te voet doen als je van wandelen houdt. Maar wij verkozen de bus. Lijn 25 stopt er voor de deur. Om de hoek heb je een soort nightcare moest er iets zijn. Winkeltjes en restaurants in overvloed in de nabije omgeving. Wij hebben een top reis gehad. En in september zijn we weer terug in het Iberostar cristina in palma. Een viersterren hotel dat vijf sterren verdiend. Je krijgt zo’n leuke band met de medewerkers. We hebben dan ook een traan gelaten toen we vertrokken. Heel veel liefde naar deze prachtige mensen toe. We missen jullie nu al.

Happy days

The beech is one step away from the rear of the hotel. All staff polite helpfully.
Entertainment was super, belly dancing, magician and Evan a tombola.... my son and daughter won 2 day's in a row. Special thanks to Fifi and the rest of the Entertainment staff. Intend to visit Dec 2024. Rooms cleaned everyday water teabags and toilet accessories replaced everyday. Security was at the entrance, everyone's checked before entering the hotel. Can't wait to go back. Visited Tunisia

Mitarbeiter Rezeption zeigen tollen EInsatz und Service

Das IBEROSTAR Palace Hotel auf Fuerteventura war das Hotel, in das uns Condor gebracht hatte, nachdem wir am 2.12.23 durch Annullierung unseres Rückflugs „gestrandet“ sind. Condor hat nur 1 Nacht bezahlt, den Rest bis zum Rückflug mussten wir selbst bezahlen. Unsere Reisegruppe war durch die Annullierung und den nicht vorhandenen Service der Reiseveranstalter mit den Nerven fertig. Das Hotelpersonal, besonders Ismael und Moritz, von der Rezeption waren so sehr freundlich, riefen Hotlines für uns sogar nachts von zuhause noch an und zeigten uns jeden Tag ihr Bedauern und Mitgefühl. Das fand ich bei all dem Ärger so wohltuend und sollte daher positiv bewertet werden!

Absolute Luxury, wonderful food, happy Staff

I was lucky enough to enjoy a little break at this wonderful hotel. When you pull into the grounds it’s very impressive, they are kept very well. I stayed in the section that was adults only, the lobby is very impressive and welcoming. I was staying all inclusive, so I was able to go to the lobby bar and order whatever drink I wanted. There was always a self-service desert stand that has wonderful cakes, and it regularly stocked up.
There was a slight delay with the rooms, that may be because of the people checking out, and the making up of the rooms, however there was plenty to distract you while you wait.
Enjoying some Pina Colada drinks where had, the reception staff where very welcoming Teresha at the Front Desk was very friendly and efficient.
Rooms - As soon as I opened the door, I was so very impressed, I loved that the bathroom has a jacuzzi, sadly only one of the jets worked. There were two sinks on either end, so my God daughter and I didn't have to share. The shower was directly over your head, and very easy to operate and spacey. They have shampoo, conditioner, shower gel on tap, and hand wash and lotion. You also have a bathrobe and slippers, along with towels. It was so very nice, you also had a lovely tea tray with a selection on tea and coffee (from Jamaica) water sparkling and non, complete with a coffee machine, though it does take a little while to warm up... we didn't have any milk, though when we asked it was given. The fridge was stocked with a mixture of soft drinks and bear, and they would restock if required. Samsung smart screen TV, good selection of channels, not to mention BBC classics, loved this being from the UK, you could also mirror your phone to it if you chose to. The beds where so very comfortable, and you can control AC, there was a seated hammock on the balcony, I absolutely loved this, it was very comfortable. You also had the option of room service, sadly I never used this service, it was very clean, and luxurious in every way, it made me feel very special.
Safety -There was never a time where I did not feel safe, I stayed within the resort, however Jamaica is my 2nd home, as my roots are from there, so even going out, I would not feel unsafe. That being said, the same way you would be at home keeping your wits about you, is the same way you would do when you are aboard, and you will be okay.
Food & drinks - Where do I start with this, the drinks where wonderful, no matter what I asked for it was serviced with a smile, I was hooked on the pina coladas. There was no cocktail they could not make highly satisfied, and they did ask if you wanted rum in your cocktail, it was never assumed you did another good observation. Carl and Andre where brilliant mixologist, and very entertaining... The food was various and plentiful, all well cooked and prepared. At breakfast you can have eggs cooked any way you wished, and an omelette with whatever you want in it. All made with a smile, lunch and dinner they mix things up with different dishes, I love fish so I thought it was wonderful that I could tell what I wanted, and they would cook it so nice... The food is laid out buffet style, different stations so example - dinner - they would have Jamaica food station, pizza station, fish counter, the even cook muscles the way you like. They have ice - cream, and desert cake station, they did this for steak asking you how you like it and cooked it to perfection, a chance for you to try new foods. The service and table staff were wonderful, Tresan was one of many that always smiled and brought wonderful conversation when on duty. There is also a Chinese restaurant on site, if this is more to your liking with a selection of food also (sadly did not dine there)
The gym is amazing, though I had to walked through another part of the resort (this is the area that is for families) to get to it (10 - 15 minute walk, the buildings are connected, however also have separate entrances, you can use golf buggies to get from one side to the other, the gym is in a separate building, top machines, and trainer on hand.
There was a timetable broken down into half hour sessions of activities, that are done throughout the day, on an electronic display board in the downstairs area including aqua aerobics in one of pools, spin and kettle bell classes in the gym, to poolside games. Not to mention lounge singers, and mini shows in the indoor theatre on site. There is a pool hall, and gift shops on site, where you buy all your souvenirs, clothing, alcohol, rum, rum creams and so on and also check your email if you need to....
I would highly recommend this hotel, the grounds are kept immaculately, from the marble floor being kept cleaned and polished, to the top-quality food and really customer service and presentation of all staff

Hygiene Desaster in SPA and generally very poor services

Hygiene Desaster in SPA that cost 20€ for 90 minutes. It is the worst I have ever seen.
People get in and get out Sauna and pools without using shower and no tower in Sauna. I even made Video to show how they do!!!
After informing the Spa reception and hotel reception, I was even more disappointed about their reaction: everyone can do what they want, we can’t control people. And as if it is the most usual situation, they just went on with their work.

This is not the first disappointment since I arrived in this hotel 3 days ago… it’s just the culture of this so called 4star hotel : the common attitude is “be happy with whatever you get”.
Rezeption, derive people’s in Restaurants, Barkeepers, spa employee are most unfriendly that I have ever seen in a 4 star hotel.
Only people that were kind with normal attitude were the cleaner lady and the bellboy.
Only positive thing that I will remember will be: clean rooms.

By the way: we were a group of 12 person for Golf.
The attitude of people working in Golfclub that belongs to this hotel, was exact the same.
The service in Restaurants was exact the same level. Example: they don’t leave the sugar on table… but ask how many you want and they give that😳
You can not put the cost on your room in hotel…
Just too much to write …
I will never go to this hotel and the other 120 hotel that belong to this hotel chain…

Iberostar Averroes Tunisia.
I have just returned from a all inclusive family holiday to Tunisia staying at this hotel.
It is a four start hotel which looks amazing, the room was a good size with a balcony looking over the pool and sea.
The hotel is kept clean, the cleaners are working hard everyday. However parts of the hotel need a upgrade such as some of the furniture in the dining hall and areas of the spa.
The food is okay, however it is much of the same everyday and by day three it is tiresome and you want something different to eat!.
The waiters are all lovely and want to help you as much as possible, all very friendly and take time to get to know you which is nice.
There is a small shop in the hotel which sells fake designer bags and sunglasses along with souvenirs, he is a little expensive compared to outside the hotel but still reasonably cheap if you want to haggle. If you do go outside the hotel to shop be prepared for the locals to try and get you into their shops and get you to buy! They can be quite harassing at times so be firm. There is one shop just near the hotel called Sunflower, this was the best shop we found as it was really reasonably priced and thr staff left you alone to look around and buy what you wanted hassle free! Great shop to check out!
Back to the hotel... The entertainment team are all great, really friendly and funny, good day activities to take part in if you wanted to but the evening shows were not so good. They were in the conference room which was hot as the air conditioning had been turned off, they were supposed to start at 9.30pm but actually started a bit later when more people came in. We didn't stay for the whole of each evening show which included Tunisian dancing, Cuban night, African acrobats and Brazilian dancers.
A few things could bring this hotel up such as minor tidy ups of a few areas such as dining area and spa, possible beach bar. The sun loungers are average and gave some of our group back ache! They are plastic ones and the life guard comes round with a mattress for them each morning. A better selection of food on each night and better evening entertainment.
On a whole a good hotel and most importantly we enjoyed our holiday.

Iberostar Ciudad Blanca in Alcudia:
Das Hotel ist veraltet. Die Zimmer verfügen teilweise nur über 2 Steckdosen und der Schimmel in den Bädern und teilweise sogar Schlafräumen ist einfach nur schlimm. Man hat das Gefühl, dass hier Massenabfertigung vorherrscht. Zimmerwechsel brachte nur ein wenig weniger verschimmeltes Zimmer (immerhin frisch gestrichen im Schlafzimmer). Dafür war die Ausstattung nicht ansatzweise so, wie vom Reiseveranstalter versprochen. Abhilfe gab es KEINE!

Beautiful resort. Lack of proper medical care.

Beautiful resort. Accommodations were great, food fantastic. Butler Valentin was amazing.
The problem I had is when I experienced dehydration during my son’s wedding on the beach. The medical assistance was poor due to medical personnel being far away and lack of equipment like a stretcher. I’m sure dehydration is somewhat of a common occurrence in the island heat. Need better preparation.

Abzocke wenn sie direkt über Iberostar buchen.
Wir haben schon ca. 400 Nächte in Iberostar Hotels verbracht und wollten im Oktober für 21 Tage in die Domrep. Wir sind Clubmitglieder und bekommen Prozente aber unter dem Strich ist das nur Abzocke.
Zum Beispiel kostet das gleiche Zimmer mit AI bei Iberostar trotzt über 20 Prozent Rabatt immer noch 900 Euro mehr als bei Anbietern wie Schauinsland.
