This company’s handling of our case has been nothing short of appalling. Following the loss of a loved one, we spent months trying to settle an account, enduring repeated delays, poor communication, and a complete lack of empathy. Even after finally reaching an agreement and making payment, we repeatedly chased for confirmation that the payment had been received, yet no confirmation has been provided.
What happened next was even more distressing. Despite an ongoing complaint regarding their conduct throughout this case, the company sent a letter addressed directly to the deceased, using her full name. Dear NAMED….. we are dealing with your complaint - it isn’t the account holders complaint when she’s dead! No consideration was given to the impact this could have on a grieving family. For a widower to open such a letter was deeply upsetting and entirely avoidable especially given they were told not to address communications to the deceased on the envelope - we did not expect the letters enclosed to be addressed to her as if she’s still alive.
From the outset, the customer service has been unacceptable. We have had to continually chase for responses and updates at a time when we should have been allowed to focus on grieving, not battling for basic communication and respect. Throughout the entire process, there appeared to be little regard for the human circumstances involved and a singular focus on recovering money. We have been chased for money and in a letter it stated they’d like to get matters finalised, despite us being told there was a hold on the account whilst we waited for final funeral costs.
The lack of compassion, professionalism, and sensitivity shown has been shocking. Companies dealing with bereavement cases should be held to a far higher standard than this. Based on our experience, their conduct deserves investigation.

I have been trying to get in contact with this company for over a week. Emails are not responded to, phone calls..well you are left listening to horrible music for sooooooooo long. Believe it or not, I am trying to get them to take a payment from me!!! Not avoiding them at all. Can't make a payment online because they have all my details and should have take a payment on the 1st July so worried that if I do it online they will then suddenly take it again. What a $hit show.
I have had multiple letters about a debt I already paid under a DAS which I have evidence to prove. I have sent numerous emails no reply and called numerous times and can’t get through. I got through once and the woman on the phone told me it was all sorted which hasn’t been the case. I also tried to log into my account and can’t get into it despite resetting my password. The most recent letter states someone is coming to my house. If anyone turns up at my home I will be contacting the police.
Since having the letter and being taken under link financials I have attempted multiple phone calls but no answer , I have left my number for call backs but heard nothing . I can not set up a direct debt payment so having to remember to log in each month just to pay . I have sent emails but always get an automatic response and never an actual response . Never been able to speak to anyone wich is very frustrating

Received several texts and emails saying I owe debt. I sent an email asking them for evidence. They just said I owe money but provided no proof. I sent another email 2 months ago asking again for proof of which they never responded. I'm currently waiting 30+ minutes on the phone again after I gave up last time. Only way to get a response seems to be by complaining on here at how incompetent the company is as a whole.

I had a wonderful experience calling in today. The customer representative, Kai, was incredibly helpful and patient while assisting me with my account management. They took the time to truly understand my issue and were quick to find an effective workaround. Exceptional service!

The lady who dealt with my issue was very helpful and understanding. Understood exactly what I needed and dealt with it swiftly. Her name was Kye or Kai but she was very helpful.

This company is nothing short of a joke.
We discovered during a mortgage application that they had registered a default on my husbands credit file.
After a lot of investigation, by us, it was discovered that the account was an account that we had no knowledge of. Evidence was gathered which proved that the account had been fraudulently opened.
Contact was made with the original creditor and Link Financial on the 27th of November last year. The original creditor, on receipt of the evidence, removed their default within a week.
Link Financial, however, some 7 months later have not responded to a single email, other than to advise the email to them had been deleted and requesting the same information again, TWICE.
We have called and are told someone will get back to us. Noone ever does.
They are clearly a company who completely disregard the legalities and their duties surrounding the processing and reporting of data, and refuse to do anything about it.
We will now be escalating to the Ombudsman and seeking compensation.
