Each level of assistance adds 20% of the available motor power. The higher the power, the higher the drain on battery.

The test ride was completed in miles and also converted to kilometers;

There are many factors that we need to consider when using the MiRiDER that will affect mileage. Temperature influences the range also.


• Check the pressure is in your tyres (PSI, pounds per square inch)
• How often is the throttle override being used
• Reduce the hills on the route, if at all possible
• Consider the terrain are you cycling on (tarmac, gravel, mud etc)
• Keep the luggage low as possible – heavier weight will affect the bike. The max load with rider and luggage is 120kgs.
• Be mindful power level is it being cycled on 1 is the most economical
• Be aware that frequent thumb throttle being used can reduce battery
• How much effort is being put through the pedals - less effort means the bike needs to do more
• Cold weather can have an effect on all batteries

Our bikes use a speed sensor, rather than a torque sensor, the MiRiDER will always assist if the bike is being ridden as a pedal assist in levels 1 – 5, rather than how much effort the rider is putting in. You can make it as hard or as easy as you like on our bike, gently pedalling and keeping your heart rate right down is a great way to cover miles, but as the bike will be doing most of the work you will see a faster depletion of the battery than if you were to cycle in level one, pushing harder on the pedals.

The battery indication bar is a great way of keeping a tab on how much battery is left. 42V is full and 32V is empty. Sometimes the bars go down quicker than expected, but this is only due to the voltage it’s reading and shouldn’t be used as a percentage read out. Your bike can show only 1 bar of battery left, but still have plenty of volts left which means you have a whole lot of riding left in the battery.

Each battery bar doesn’t represent 25% of battery usage, so remember to check the voltage.
