My mother and I were extremely grateful to Haley who works in the Napier paint department. Her knowledge and care was outstanding any question regarding a product she was able to answer confidently and she set our mind at rest as my mother and I had many questions for specific paint for green doors to what to use for rust to what product to strip vanish- She is an absolute asset to the Napier Mitre 10 highly recommend her service hands down.

I moved from Bunnings to Mitre 10. I always get exceptional service and advise. When ever I ask an assistant where something is staff always take me straight to the area. I've been offered good advise from buying plants which I frequent the garden center , paint ,Stains and the kitchen department. Last year a staff member (Dennis) worked with me to get the best option and deal regarding wood for one side of my house. It was great to get good advice when I know nothing about building. They even delivered the wood to my house,free of charge. One last thing is, staff are always so accommodating and take bags of potting mix etc and put them in my car. Rotorua Mega Mitre 10 you rock.

I visited this store yesterday to pick up an item. While I was there I wanted to check out something else but didn't know where to find it. I asked a shop assistant for help locating the item. He took me to it and asked me how many I wanted. I informed him that I just wanted to have a look first whereupon he turned around and said in a sarcastic voice "Oh, you just want to LOOK. Well open your eyes then." and walked off. I was kind of taken aback. Is this what customer service is all about? Needless to say, I wont be shopping at this branch again.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. - 10
Returned my faulty 3 month old Goldair cooling fan that sprang a leak(online order) and the replacement one they exchanged it for is SECONDHAND dirty well used and most likely faulty as well.
The box had been opened a big chunk of polystyrene missing right at the top and resealed.
The water bottles still have remanints of water in them and are in a glad snap lock bag
The inside of the tank is filthy.
The vent full of dust and who knows what.
This unit has been well used.
The department manager Ari didn't really think it was a big deal, I could clean it.
He finally offered a refund and I could keep the replacement (no thanks, on the keeping the replacement its a reject but easier than waiting round for it to be picked up, so it can go in the bin)
Then he rang 30mins later to say no he wants it back because apparently it was checked before it left the store (Utter rubbish, wish I could upload the pxt I took)
Total breach of the fair trading act by sending me a used replacement.
terrible customer service.

Purchased from mitre10 online was charged during checkout 4 weeks later still no shipment notification. No sign of the items I ordered! To make matters worse contacting them is almost impossible. Don't shop at mitre10 online it's a terrible experience

I bought a push in pull out pantry at mitre 10 mega Invercargill August 31st last year. Was told it would be there within 4 weeks. After 6 weeks I went in. They said was not there yet, we'll phone when it arrives. More time goes by, again I go in, told its not there. Again go in after some time. Told " oh, its in our ware house across from Placemakers, been there for weeks." Arrived with some panels bowed. Husband fitted cabinet, door wouldn't shut no matter what hubby did. Went back where they promised someone would come check it. No one has rung or arrived and it is now March. I have been in 5 times and been told each time that someone will come, so far no one has. Then one of the screws holding the door pulled out of the door so we had to take the door off. To sum it all up we are stuck with an unusable doorless $1.000 pantry. So sorry I shopped at mitre 10, it won't happen again!!!

Bought a self drive lawnmaster for a $1000 on 10/11 2018. Comes with a "supposedly " 4 year warranty. Self drive stopped working on 12/01/21. Took it to Mitre10 Paraparaumu on 13/1/2021. Came back from "Repairs" on 17/02/21(more than one month) Took it home and nothing was done. Managers who I have spoken to could not be bothered. Very , very disappointing behaviour. Been without a mower for 6 weeks. Lawnmaster is meant to be an excellent brand. I am really extremely disappointed and frustrated with Mitre10 not ensuring this ridiculous issue is not resolved yet. I have spent thousands over the years with Paraparaumu Mitre10 and don't expect this treatment.

I went to Mitre 10 Hornby Christchurch last week, the staff always polite helpful and very professional in their job. When in doubt ask them they can always found you the product that you want , anywhere you turn around they are there. One staff is extremely helpful with my limited English,his name is Mitchell at the information center, he gave me all the information that I need to sign up for membership, very patience and cheerful young man. I love shopping at Mitre 10. No doubt about it is the best in New Zealand.

This in regards to Mitre 10 Onehunga Branch. Went there Thursday afternoon to purchase flowers, planter trays and other miscellaneous small items. At the checkout we absolutely taken aback by how utterly rude the woman at the checkout was. Not even a hello in response to our hello, not even a smile or acknowledgement just “I want you to put everything on the counter next to me” . “I’m not going to move”. We reported the matter to the store manager who just handed us his business card, apologized, said he would review the security camera footage as there had been several similar complaints about that same person. There was hardly any customers (around 3.30 pm Thursday 31/12/2020). Surely she could have been called in to explain her abhorrent behavior whilst one of the other staff could have taken over. There is however a silver lining to this. As a result of our experience today we went to a competitor’s outfit in Mt Roskill and although parking was a bit difficult as they were pretty much full we found all that we were looking for and saved about $11! After 27 years of supporting the Onehunga Mitre 10 I don’t miss it anymore. Maybe the fact it was virtually empty is a tell tale sign that it is no longer the go to place for hardware

Went to Mitre 10 Ashburton , to ask about a particular Front Door Mat. The Customer Service fellow , said that he had never heard of the one that I was asking about. I asked if he could please check with another store..but no..he did not have the product number to do so. I came home ..went on the computer + very easily found the product + the number required. I now have to make a trip to Timaru to collect said item, as your staff really could not be bothered making the effort to help with my enquiry! I have also been waiting 6 weeks for a product that they were supposedly getting in for me ...Uplift ..for my roses , which I know they have in stock at other stores! So here we go again...once more I have to go out of my region to buy said product as it seems to have been too much of a bother for your staff! I feel as if the customer service is simply appalling!

Excellent service in Porirua Mega.
I was disappointed in Mitre 10 Petone Mega store for their non-service. However then went to Porirua and Johnny located the park bench we wanted, put it on a Mitre 10 trailer and tied it down securely. Thanks Johnny much appreciated. Regards, Jan

I bought a Bosch drill from Mitre 10 New Lynn in May 2020. It failed to perform with a faulty switch during the lockdown in July. I took it back for a repair under warranty on the 31st August 2020. I was told it would be ready in 2 weeks. I hadnt heard from them in 3 weeks so I called in on the 30th September 2020 and was told to call in on the 4th of October if I hadnt been called earlier. I hadnt heard from them so I called up and was told that Customer services wasnt picking up the phone. So I called in again on the 13th October 2020. I was told to call in on the 15th for an answer.
Absolutely abysmal service to say the least. As to service in the shop, in the past I have been in the powertool area for half an hour once wanting to make a purchase and no "floaters" even approached me for half an hour!!! I can only assume that you have enough trade to not bother about small customers like me.

the lady who answer my call to 094426130 at 10.30am today. She is bloody rude. i called three times and the phone rang for more than 10 minutes and no one pickup the phone. the third time i call, i was annoyed and use the word "bloody", she said i cursed. i am not happy with her tone and service. she did not apology and refuse to give me her name for me to report. please do something. there are alot nice staff in mitre10 than this girtl.

Purchased 10 liters of wattyl iron ore black fence paint from Thames store to find that it is brown. Can not work out why some one from wattyl would it call it black when it is not and also why mitre 10 would inconvenience people buy selling it knowing very well it is a brown colour .Not happy. Leonard.

Exclusive brand Devon clothes line rusted and fell apart 2 years into a 5 year warranty. Mega Mitre 10 Kapiti didn't want the product returned to the store, were unable to go back and check their records to identify the purchase and refused to honor the warranty offering a discount on another product. Do these guys even understand the meaning of warranty and commerce commission requirements that products must be fit for purpose? I even sent them pictures and records of bank statements!
