Out with the bath.

Out with the bath, in with the Mobility+ complete new bathroom and shower in 6 days. The fitters Martin and John were always on time. They kept me informed of the daily work schedule and included me in any necessary decisions. They worked as a team, showed respect for my home causing minimum disruption. The work was carried out to a high standard and each evening the area was left clean ad tidy. I am exceptionally pleased with my new bathroom and would recommend Mobilityplus.

From the first phone call enquiry

From the first phone call enquiry, to the guy who came to talk to me first about the work. The survey visit and Kenny Hamilton who did the work and the people at the office when I called. I was very nervous about having the work done, but it was all so smooth and I was so pleased with the effort everyone made to reassure me.
I love using the new walk in shower now, its like a dream.

Bathroom refurbishment

Bathroom was installed and completed within three days. The work was carried out meticulously to a high standard of craftsmanship by an experienced and very competent colleague. At the end of the job the bathroom was cleaned and all rubbish removed and collected for disposal the next day.
The work was supervised by phone call each morning to ensure my complete satisfaction with progress. An excellent job well done.

Looking to redo your bath room and have mobility issues try mobility plus bathrooms you may be surprised

From quote through engineer report to fitting and clear up after all went like clockwork, thr fitter Keith was friendly and helpful and showed us how to use the finished product and to my mind did a very good job that looks good works well and just how we expected it to be.

This is a fun review, didn't even get a quote.

This is a fun review, we barely got Mobility Plus through the door and the person they sent to offer a quote did a runner.

We had a window fitter here giving us a price, wrapping up. So I was tied up, which irregardless I should have been in work meetings until 12 so would have been unavailable. The guy turned up 10 minutes early, again, not usually been a problem but had he waited 10 minutes we would have finished with the window fitter. Apparently he needed both of us in order to measure and quote, despite being clear when arranging the meeting I would not be available until 12, my partner would help until then. Perfect, we were told.

But the icing on the cake, was the comment that "well you don't look disabled", this has left both me and my misses absolutely furious. Not all disabilities are visible, you work for a company that installs disability aids. How can you even bubble that thought to the front of your mind never mind actually say it to our faces!!!

My partner has a complex list of problems, none of these are visible. But I assure you right now, the stress and the fact she didn't have her mid morning nap has her crashing, hard. Which will have knock on effects to her health for the next few days. She made the effort to be awake, present and alert for your guy to be here at an agreed time, and he buggered off with "you don't look disabled" seriously.

Given we bought our house 6months ago, there's plenty of work to do, between adaptations, the kitchen and what he was here for, the bathroom. So congratulations, you've lost yourself a potential customer for life, and we'll make damn well sure everyone knows you're employees attitudes to disabled people.

The plumber experienced and productive

The plumber experienced and productive. He explained what he was doing. He even came on Saturday to finish the job, the reason being that a part was not with the original delivery necessitating extra work for him. Even though there had been missing parts they were delivered the next day. The only real negative was lack of communication between electrian and company. Overall you have earned a five star review.

They provided a reaĺly good service, professional, friendly and considerate. Always turning up when promised . Mark the fitter was excellent and Amy rang every day to check I was happy with everything. I am really pleased with my new bathroom.

Mobility Plus ten out of ten

Mobility Plus gave us expert advice and supported us from beginning through to completion. Would not hesitate to recommend them.
Our installer, Lee Oakes, was first class and top notch, very neat and tidy and an expert tradesman.

the following review does not reflect on the quality of the work carried out.When Rob arrived he said he had not worked on a park home before.This gave me immediate doubts and initialy Rob also.When i asked if he was told he was coming to a park home he said no.At first he said because of the floor situation he might have to make a plinth to support the shower tray,which would have defeated the object of making it as easy as possible for my wife to enter the shower.After this was mentioned he worked very hard to get the tray installed at floor level.At the end of the installation it was found that the seat supplied didn't go down to a level to make it confortable enough for my wife.This wasn't fitted at my request as the main reason for the shower installation was for my wife.I saw several seats on line with lower seating settings and think for a company of your reputation it would have been possible to fit a replacement.As it happened we had a free standing stool supplied by the nhs authority otherwise we would have been left without a seat for wife to use the shower.I think the communication could have been better from the beginning making the process easier for everyone.Finaly i am pleased with the finished look.

Bathroom to Shower Room

Firstly, my bathroom conversion to a walk-in shower room is first class.
We needed it mostly for my wife who has mobility issues.
The fitter we got was a very polite personable guy who worked hard to get us what we needed. He overcame all the unexpected obstacles thrown up during the rip out and subsequent refit.
There was one minor clerical issue which was resolved to my satisfaction.
Obviously time will tell, but at this time I have nothing but praise regarding this company. They are not the cheapest or the most expensive. The bathroom, sorry shower room, is now a warm welcoming space, tasteful and calming.
So thank you Mobility Plus, we'll done.
Ps. I am in no way associated with this company or in receipt of any incentive. This is a true and honest statement by an ordinary working class retiree.

I wish I'd never engaged Mobility Plus+ !

My 92 year old aunt has dictated this to me as she isn't confident with the computer:

"The bathroom work I needed, was promised by Mobility Plus+ to take 5 days. It took 10 weeks. The toilet, radiator, flooring and the shower ALL needed remedial work along with some other minor imperfections. The stress of trying to get all this to an acceptable standard took quite a toll on my health and mental well-being. My complaints were never aimed at compensation- I just wanted the job done properly.

I now rue the day that I believed FMB membership and BiKBBI partnership meant that I would have a suitably qualified trained fitter who could be trusted to produce an excellent job in the promised time frame.

I am not seeking a better refund offer- had the amount been acceptable, it was destined for the local food bank. What I find so offensive is that Mobility Plus+ consider my life and well-being to be of so little worth."

Please shop around first before deciding

I’m surprised at all the positive reviews. I literally had to double check the name of the company before writing this review.
I’m the one with a disability. I have osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Mobility is a challenge but I manage but it is getting worse the older I get. My husband decided to get the en-suite done as part of future proofing our house.
I’ll admit I wasn’t keen on using this company especially when I heard the price. But my husband insisted, so I went along with it.
The finished job does look great but I did have little complaints all along.
1. New towel radiator installed But didn’t install new thermostatic chrome controls, just put the old white ( yellowing ) ones back on.
2. The new comfort height toilet came with a new toilet brush, cloth and a large bottle of Method bathroom cleaner in a bag in the toilet before it was installed. When I came home from work the last day, Lee was gone, so was the extras and the old thermostat control was put on the radiator.
It was such a small petty thing but it still annoyed me.
3 The big issue was the toilet. It would not drain/flush. First it won’t drain just once a week. My husband would remove tissue, put unblocking fluid in and it would flush. We only used it for a number 1. Number 2 we used the second WC in the house.
Then 2 weeks ago, it wouldn’t drain after every use. So we stopped using it altogether.
My husband contacted Mobility Plus reminded them of 12 month guarantee and it’s only been 6 weeks. They said the same guy Lee would come on Saturday between 9 and 10am. It’s now 11.10am and there is no sight of Lee or anyone from the company. There was no message to say he’s running late or he couldn’t do the site visit today. Absolutely nothing. I feel validated about my initial thoughts on this company now. It grieves me, that my husband paid so much for this unprofessional company.

This company ‘does what it says on the tin’

Chose company because they said they were knowledgeable in the field of providing mobility showers and guaranteeing their products.
Knowledgeable assessors - general & technical. The job started as arranged. Delightful fitter who worked alone & completed installation in 2 days. An advisor kept in touch by email daily. Only hiccup was that I hadn’t received a plan of the work or details of when materials/ electrician would arrive so fitter had to contact office before starting work. Rubbish was collected as advised. Installation looks great.

Removing a bath; fitting a shower.

This job was simply taking out a bath and replacing it with a walk-in shower.
All company reps (salesman, engineer, fitter, overall supervisor) were clear and efficient. In particular, the fitter. James, was impressive in his work rate, his skill and the way in which he kept consulting me as to the exact positioning of various elements. I now have a beautiful shower that suits me and no longer have to climb over the bath.
The company is not cheap. A local bathroom fitter would probably cost less but firms here seem to prefer full bathroom replacements, not the job I wanted done, so I am grateful to Mobility Plus.
