The attitude on the on reception is disgusting and everyone I there just looks down at you. There was a young cleaner I seen in there young lad seen him clean the mess once and he emptied the bin and then they were that lazy they just chucked rubbish at the bins and didn't even pick it up let young lad do it don't ever use this vets! That young lad could see he was sick of them!

This vet has so many veterinary experts at its disposal. If you have a complex case I’m pretty confident they can handle it. The issue comes with the day to day service. You can’t get through on the phone, the answer machine just cuts you off and tells you to ring another branch, where the same will happen. If you do get through the care is good. Continuity is an issue, the vets seem to change a lot. I trust them with my pet, I just find the admin service pretty poor. Out of hours costs are eye-watering. Cost me £131 for a ten minute examination and some painkiller but it’s probably the same everywhere.

My dogs and cat are with moorview veterinary services in backworth. I called today to say my dog needed an appointment for medical treatment with a cough and breathing issues that are getting worse. They told me as I have an outstanding balance against my cat of 400 pounds that would have to be paid first.

1. The money owed was for my cat due to a large operation they said they would keep under the insurance limit and went over by 400 pounds.

2. 400 is not what is owed due to a payment schedule made by direct debit and should now be more like 100

3. Since owing that money my 2 dogs have been to the vets on 4 occasions for vaccinations and a problem with one limping. At all 4 appointments the fee has been paid in full for treatment and medication.

They still refused to see my dog. I explained all of the above and told them this is putting money before the welfare of an animal and they said they would speak to a manager. The lady then put me on hold and when she came back to the call she informed me that the managers dealing with this are now off until tuesday due to the bank holiday and they would call me then. I told her my dog needed treatment and the manager on shift would need to authorise it. She told me that was not in her power as she was not dealing with this case and therefore I will have to wait until tuesday.

I will be seeking a new vet but feel at this time they have put my animal at great risk by refusing treatment . And are negligible

Can't get through on phone, all branches always busy. Branches are often closed and don't stick to advertised times/days. Cramlington hospital is now a seperate business.
Had to wait a week for appointment then they ring the day before to cancel and rearrange. No vets available? But the branch is still open? They are dissapointing.
Phoned St Claire vets and got appointment same day.
Moorview vets are just after the money and don't have the pets best interest at heart. You always see a different vet and although some are good. There are a few that are really clueless. This business used to be really good but now it has been taken over and changed a few times it is just about making money.
Changing vets ASAP.

My Cocker Spaniel Molly passed away two weeks ago and have just collected her ashes from the surgery in Monkseaton, I would like to praise the staff who were on duty on the 3rd of March when Molly passed. They were absolutely amazing, the thoughtfulness and consideration at such a time we had to let Molly go, made our decision bearable, Molly was our life and we were heartbroken but we will never forget the unbelievable kindness we received from the staff and the beautiful card we received a few days later will be kept with Molly. Thank you both from Maggie & Jim Smith

Absolutely fantastic pet care. My Pug was very very poorly and Moorview just never gave up trying everything to put him right. After 2 weeks of their hard work and operations thankfully Lenny looks like he is well on road to recovery. From the daily updates....vets guidance....surgeons skills...receptionists putting up with me harrassing them night and day just checking on his progress....nothing was a bother to them. I really can not rate these people higher....simply awesome caring vets practise. Thankyou

Fantastic staff and surgeons our dog had his leg amputated and I was happy to leave him in their care could not be more happy

its took me a long time to write this review,my poor peppie has been gone for a year now,i decided to have keyhole surgery for a spey,biggest mistake i ever made,dog was in pain for weeks,turned incontinent,considering i was on benefits and because i wanted less pain than a normal spey i paid on my credit card,but when things went wrong,they didnt want to know unless i paid £90 consultation fee,plus scan fees for after fees,told me to go to pdsa,bunch of money oriented losers.blood on your hands!
