Be Very Careful Where You Use Your Card
On the 16th December 2025 we use my wife's Nectar card at Sainsburys Harlow. However later that evening we received another email saying that 5000 of our Nectar points had been used at a Sainsbury's store in Camden London more than 30 miles away. It seems that the use at Sainsburys Harlow allowed someone crooked person to gain access to our Nectar account which very worrying as it means either Nectar or Sainsbury's systems are compromised

problems with website sometimes cannot login when I do get in links do not work and difficult or impossible to navigate come on Sainsbury/Nectar sort this out been going on for a while now

Cannot stop automatic reorders and no phone number to contact. Products taste nasty. Have to email rachel to try and stop reorders with no results. This company is a scam. I would give them a minus 10.
Call 4 times and still have an issue
This is a terrible service. Card has a technical issue so can’t use it or use balance. Called 4 times and each time I have waited for a new card and they don’t send it. You can’t speak to anyone senior and there is no email number. You have to write a letter. Guess that if you make it really difficult to make an official complaint, Sainsbury’s etc can look at data and think they are serving customers correctly
Rubbish customer service!
Such a shame the web site is glitch ridden I have contacted their "help" line about four times now and to be honest the "help" line is a joke being manned by foreign people with a CSE level of English.
I can't partake in any of the offers to win points as I get the same message every time which reads "we are unable to confirm your nectar number at the moment" so miss out on these offers to win points.
I really don't think I will bother anymore the site stinks!!
Absolutely shocking customer service
Absolutely shocking customer service. Nobody knows what they are doing. I have been saving points on a card for years and have never been able to log into my account because they cannot update my phone number from an old one. So I’ve never been able to spend my points. Should be a very simple task, what a waste of time. Poor!!!
Nectar points vanishing

Been saving my Nectar points for years ...years i shop and fuel there ..anyway after many ,many years I have over £200
Today I discovered they just simply vanished. No explanation
After trying to get through on the customer line ...not easy ..some people might find it easier completing a rubics cube .in the dark ,whilst blindfolded wearing oven mittens
Anyway I got through and after listening to a really vague and frankly nonsensical excuse they tell me they have been put back
As I have not claimed them for years I wonder if sainsbury or employees of sainsbury are quietly trying to remove remove them
I think we should be told
Threatened with being blacklisted and losing all my pints worth £73 so cannot use them before Christmas this is theft

Spent £147 in Sainsbury’s 6/12/25 with triple points but not given. Told it will take up to 28 days which has not happened before told if they manually add now my account will be blacklisted and all £70 plus points lost unbelievable and then told to go to trust pilot to make a comment. So here it is and Sainsbury’s and nectar sort this out before Christmas please and don’t steal my points at this time of year we’ll bar humbug to you Sainsbury and nectar. Seasons greetings to you both scourge would be impressed indeed
My experience with the Nectar programme…
My experience with the Nectar programme has been very disappointing. It often feels like the competitions they run are almost impossible to win – I honestly wonder if anyone has ever actually won anything from them. On top of that, many of the adverts and promotions promising large amounts of Nectar points are misleading. Once you look closer, you find out you have to meet a long list of conditions just to earn a handful of points that are worth only a few pence in the end. In my opinion, the programme provides very little real benefit and is more frustrating than helpful.

Been waiting for 2 months to get credit back. Been on phone 6/7 times but no help. Asked to speak to a supervisor but always line goes dead…
Said each time i would fill in survey when finish call never asked me yet. Clearly due to complainting
Sainsbury’s should do better
One of the worst reward schemes going. Can’t get nectar prices in Sainsbury’s local. Reward vouchers are useless if you’re a single person doing small shops regularly.
I used to convert work rewards to vouchers but take note there is now an expiry that does not extend when used. Sainsbury’s do better!

Very poor communication and lack of effort to resolve issue via chat assistance. Even provided me with the incorrect review link and addressed me by the wrong name, showing their lack of interest.
My nectar card was blocked after years of use
My nectar card was blocked after years of use for no reason. I approached Sainsbury’s store manager in Thornhill Cardiff for help after a caring cashier explained that he had a telephone connected to Nectar so he could sort it out. I am over 70 years old and was nearly in tears but the store manager said there was nothing he could do. I telephoned Nectar when I got home and they were helpful and stated they would send me a new card. Upon receipt of this new card I had to register. I telephoned Nectar again to register and they said do it on line which I did. However, it would not accept my password. On speaking again to Nectar they suggested to reset the password the next day as I had probably done this too many times. The next day I spoke to Nectar again as it would not reset my password. I used the chat line and after reassurances the same thing happened I could not reset my password and she could not answer the question whether I could use my new card or not as it was not registered. I can understand being cautious today with scammers but when I accrued any money on the card I used it against my shopping so there was never a big balance on the card. I have been so upset over this and cried Nectar you should be ashamed of yourselves. J. McCarthy

Every time I shop with E shops I don’t get the points and when I question it, they alway have an excuse as to why I didn’t qualify.

It consistently doesn’t recognise the email I registered when I set up my nectar card, removing the benefits I have accrued. It’s like a two year old had developed their software. That might be an insult to the digital skills of 2 year olds.

This card is not worth having . Prices Rip Off Sainsbury charge for anything club does not equal to what you spend . I have also been useing tesco loyalty card which is u get better rewards compared to sainsbury nectar. Sainsbury are always first to up prices nicking more money from the consumer they wholemeal bread don't last past a day that be there own or hovis or Warburton there lamb mince meat looks like dogs food I don't think they circle there stock correctly I go to tesco buy wholemeal bread nice and fresh and last longer . Sainsbury are not listening and don't care as to many mugs keep buying there poor quality products

Support & Security are a joke
Contacted support and they refused to help me because my joint accounts is in my partner's name, despite being logged in on the account and having answered all the security questions correctly.
They say it's for security reasons.
So I closed the chat, entered her name, and I received help.
