A complete rip off ! My book came with no access code … a $379.99 book that Pearson knows should have a code on the inside . I had to pay another $100 for 2 days of course work . They were of no assistance . I cannot wait to be done with them and their terrible customer service
Customer service have no idea about orders or discounts
Not only online pearson assessments is difficult to find, but when it comes to customer service, they do not know what's in the order despite having the order number. There are so many people who put you on hold for 30 minutes and come back telling you they don't know what's going on with your order.
They force you into a subscription
They force you into a subscription that you cannot cancel, and even if you're not studying anymore they will force you to conintue to pay for a product youre not using. During the request they said they were working on the cancelation but kept chatting to me about my life, which I felt was inappropriate as it was chat I needed an outcome as I cannot afford their fees

For a company offering english language test they should be able to at least speak understandable english. They website (my account) is quite poor, you can't see the information you registered with, so if you need to renew your passport, even if you update it it turns out it doesn't and they don't give a refund. Average wait time to get someone on the phone is 45', chat doesn't work
FTSE 100
Very difficult to believe that a multi-billion dollar, FTSE 100 listed company struggles to demonstrate simple values that even an individual can integrate into a website in less than a day, pretty much for free. All pearson websites are very poor, with unbelievably terrible user experience + interface, and constant errors. A clear example of why educational companies should never be profit focused.

Have a test booked for tomorrow and just be told my sons school is closed, so I call them straight away as it hard to find the info on the website, just to be told I can not rearrange the test because it’s less then 72 hours and I have to swallow losing the money.

BUYER BEWARE! Their "customer service" is awful!!
On May 8, I purchased 2 textbooks for our school and was charged sales tax. As I am associated with a tax-exempt organization, I requested a refund of the tax. On May 14, I spent 40 minutes online with a "virtual assistant" and an alleged human. They attempted to transfer me to the "support team" and the chat status was still showing as "connecting" 3 hours later when I left work. I called customer service while the transfer was in limbo and spent 2 hours on the phone getting the run-around. I was told the sales tax could not be refunded because I had used the wrong website and also did not use the "official" university account that the tax-exemption is linked to. One official account for a university with over 20,000 faculty and staff. They could not or would not give me a clue how to find this mythical account.
It is now June 15 and after dozens of email exchanges with no resolution, they are closing the case. This has been an extremely frustrating experience with this sorry excuse for a business. What kind of dodgy payment platform do they use that can't process a partial refund? I'll now pass the matter on to the legal department and let them have a go.
I would give them zero stars if I could.

It is nice to pay per month, but keep in mind you are not able to cancel it whenever. I needed the book for only 4 months and I've bene getting charged the last two months without even using it.

I am the head of music at a school and we took the unfortunate decision to have BTEC class this year.
Do not, I repeat, do not run BTEC music. It is poorly organized, their hands-on music teaching is all wrong, there is a reason music was taught the way it is for hundreds of years. It works. They need Y10 to realize FIVE products by May (in year 10!). When every GCSE borad specifically says that students should only upload final work in Y11 (they have better experience, more time to refine portfolios).
And their demands are through the roof (considering they can barely bother to reply to your emails). This ended up being harder than GCSE for students.

Can I give zero stars? It is impossible to find even basic things you are looking for when it comes to English teaching resources and the AI chatbot cannot understand even the most basic question. Pearson comes off as a sham "organization." What a mess! Don't buy their English teaching books, as the QR code leads nowhere and the site just sends you in a runaround for hours with no resolution. Worse experience I've had in years.

I would give less than one star. I was a temporary scorer. The scoring instructions change quite often. My scoring page didn't displayed scoring work and I spent a lot of time communicating regarding glitches. There are timesheets the employee has to fill out on their own, but clear instructions are non existent. Even though the people who answer the phone are polite, it is very difficult to understand them. Their explanations are unclear and they often go around in a circle when trying to explain how to fill out the timesheet. I was told I was in danger of not being offered more work because I didn't work a minimum of 20 hours (their records showed 19.5). I worked more than 20 hours but was unable to fill out the timesheet to get paid for some of the time I spent training and speaking to customer service, which you get paid for. Finally, when I received a check in the mail, the earnings statement was attached to a "check" that said "this is not a check." Unbelievable. It has been a week since I contacted them but no one has gotten in touch with me. I worked for free apparently. Stay away from PEARSON.

WORST PLATFORM EVER!!!
I tried to get a refund on a previous plan on Pearson and once I applied for the new plan our professor provided, I kept getting this error message, and it won't let me access my assignments. I've contacted help, but they take time to respond, and my problem is not getting fixed anytime soon. I wish my professor would pick a better platform than this crap!

This company is awful!!! I swear there was a third option to only pay month by month. Why would I get a 6 month subscription when I only need the book for three? It was $9.99 a month when I bought it. Talked to the customer service and she sent a screenshot of it saying that it was a 6 month minimum for 10.58 and it says best value. I know damn well I didn’t do the best value deal. I remember clicking a different one because I didn’t need the best value. I’m a broke college student I don’t have money to be paying for 3 months of a book I will never read again!!!

Test exam setup process failed using Pearson's systems, multiple times. Spent 30 minutes (after doing pre-checks and ensuring all was in compliance beforehand) trying to finalize setup & approval for exam testing space. The OnVUE system kept rejecting my pictures, giving me nonsense justification as to why. Clearly a robot checking the pictures and failing to identify them properly.
Customer "service" is only available via chat as their FAQs are pointless and there's no usable phone number to contact for quick resolution. Spent 30 minutes trying to explain the situation to the "service" rep, they were hardly helpful and ultimately opened a TICKET for me. Unable to help resolve the issue, unable to help me reschedule or provide any assurances whatsoever that the matter would be resolved. Now potentially out ~$500 trying to take my PMP exam for PMI at home in a prepared testing environment. Unbelievable.
