I ordered a book from Pearson in late…
I ordered a book from Pearson in late Feb this year and I have still not received the book, they made multiple errors with printing, cannot provide tracking details and debited my credit card for the full amount and closed my order. I have still not received the book or even had a callback from the manager after lodging a series of complaints! They seem to be a scam?!
Total garbage
Total garbage, I always hated Pearson in my life, but this is unbelievable. I had to buy an e-book for my studies and there can be only 100 highlighted words per page. completely useless and I can't even get a refund, definitely 0/100
Pearson support was extremely bad
Pearson support was extremely frustrating. I had already paid and could log into my account, but I still could not access my course because of a linking issue on their end. Instead of actually solving the problem, support kept passing me around, and once it was clear this was a real issue that required effort, they ended the chat on me.
That is unacceptable for a paid educational service and caused unnecessary stress and delays with my coursework.
Beware of the terminology! Stuck for 6 months!
I truly thought I purchased a month-by-month access to a textbook for my term. When I tried to cancel after the term was over, I found out that I couldn't do so. It is a mandatory 6-month deal. So now I get to pay for another 3 months without a need for it. Additionally, I could not fully use the glossary for the first few weeks due to a technical glitch on THEIR end, which they kept trying to ascribe to MY end. Why believe the customer, right?
Codes for Online Resources Don't Work + Support is V Poor
I purchased two GCSE French books (Edexcel). One is a Revision Guide and one is a Workbook. In the Guide there is a code which provides access to online resources (video's / audio) etc. There's also a QR code. The QR code takes you to a shop to buy more things (!) whilst the provided code wasn't long enough. I chatted to a bot which sent ,me to a completely different website which still didn't recognise the code. I went back and chatted (finally) to a human. He told me I'd havce to convert the code (?). He couldn't do it for me or tell me how. He transferred me to another chat. Nobody answered. I went back, he gave me a phone number. I called it (it was a Sunday). It was answered by AI which took all my details, siad it would help. It said it's transfer me to a human. It then said 'we are closed.' (sic). I wasted an hour of my time. Pearsson do not know their a**e from their elbow.

Horrible HR processing. I enquired about moderator positions only to be answered by someone in the Philippines. And then all my email communication was wiped. How can they do this?
Disaster for psychologists in small practices
They are a disaster with over-doing security so that our employees cannot access our paid-for subscriptions properly. They are blocking proper work getting done by psychologists. They make you re-allocate inventory to different employees every single time.
Terrible for learning
Their books genuinely suck at explaining concepts needed to succeed in accounting
DMV is better
I'd give Pearson less stars if I could, I prefer the DMV to Pearson. In short their system is awful and is anti-user, they are drastically overpricing, some books require you to purchase 2 year access for a single semester, you can only talk to a chat bot, and if through determination you get to a person too bad it's been outsourced to India and no one there knows how to do anything.
Extremely disappointed with Pearson.
After taking out a Pearson+ subscription in January, I realised that the on-line content was not easily accessible and not what I wanted. After a few days I asked for a refund in line with their 2 weeks cancellation policy. I was promised a full refund but a month later I had not had my money back and so had to get a refund from PayPal. The company are virtually impossible to talk to unless you want to talk to a chatbot and seem not to care about helping once they have your money.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They fail to communicate, their website is awful and they are impossible to deal with. I sped hours trying to purchase assessments which I sadly cannot get elsewhere. I hope a competitor is able to sell all of these assessments, I would immediately jump to a different company
Blank Page
I had a 14 day access link, and after 2 days, the website randomly stopped loading. Now it doesn't matter how I login, its a blank screen or says "You don''t have access right now".
I called support, who transferred me to higher support. Then I was told I'd be elevated to highest support and I'd receive an email. The email was just more troubleshooting options and a notification that my case would be closed. Why they'd close a case without resolving it, I'm not sure, but I'm left with no solution and 2 Chapters due in one day, which I now cannot do.
This is a huge disruption to my education, and seeing the other reviews just validate that Pearson is awful.
Study materials that I have subscribed to not working.
I purchased the Right Start study materials for the New York Teaching Certification test for Educating All Students. I literally can't log in and see the course materials. The subscription is 90 days long so it doesn't help that I am literally losing days where I could be studying just because Pearson doesn't have a functioning site. I need these study materials and hope that at the very least they can extend my subscription at no cost since it is completely their fault that I cannot access the study materials.
This isn't the first time this has happened with this course either and doubt it will be the last.
Saved my GCSEs
I don't know why there are so many negative reviews - I spend something like £2.50 a month for access to HUNDREDS of textbooks that are way better than the ones you get in school. The website is amazing for humanities, and its flashcard maker is super helpful because its free and organises everything into piles. its all super organised and you have a dashboard of all your subjects, with textbooks and material for each one. I went from 3s and 4s to 8s and 9s, no exaggeration. 10/10

Would not recommend Pearson. Had an exam planned, rescheduled 4 days before the date but it seems the system didn't send an confirmation mail and support refuses to help
Awful for University Students
Pearson has the most absurd and infuriating cancellation policy. Most university classes are 4 months long, but you're automatically locked into a 6-month subscription period with no opportunity to adjust this. I will be looking for alternative textbook providers from here, and I suggest all budget-conscious people do the same.
Title: Disgraceful Management at Jinan Center - Staff Refused to Intervene & Pearson Demands Extra Fees
Review Body: I am writing to expose the absolute failure of exam integrity at the Jinan Test Centre (China) during my PTE Core exam on January 30, 2026 (Seat 8).
During the test, candidate at Seat 11 was shouting and reading aloud so loudly that I could hear their headset audio clearly. When I sought help, the proctors explicitly stated they "cannot interfere with a candidate's exam" due to their handbook rules. This is a direct violation of Pearson's own standards, which promise "minimal disruptions".
The impact was undeniable: I retested on February 4 in a professional environment and my scores jumped significantly—Listening increased by 13 points and Reading by 10 points compared to the chaotic Jan 30 session. This proves the noise was not "normal background noise" but a severe disruption.
Now, Pearson is trying to charge me a $50 Technical Review fee. I refuse to pay for your staff's negligence. Shouting is NOT "normal noise" according to your own policy. I demand a full refund for the Jan 30 session.

Horrible platform do not use. They said a book was $10 for one month. They never said anything about a reoccurring subscription that you cannot cancel. And it lasts for six months. Complete scam they need to be sued.

Holy crap, they charged me 101 danm dollars for ONE ebook which only use for the semester and yet I had NO option to pay for half a semester and had to pay for a full year. Why the hell am I getting charged this much money for Information I can google for free. the only reason I bought it is because my assignments were on it. I do not recommend this site and the owners of the site should be ashamed of themselves for charging rediculous prices
