They advertised that is available for download on Google Play. That is not accurate. It only works for an iPhone. Once I discovered that I sent an email to cancel the one week trial. Because I did not respond to their email with directions on how to cancel on the website, they charged me. I borrowed an iPhone to download the app and was totally disappointed. Total waste of money.

I would give this company minus stars if I could. I have tried multiple times to cancel my subscription but I keep being charged £40 a year! I initially cancelled it straight after the trial period but was still charged. Then I emailed them to ask them to cancel it and I’ve just seen I’ve been charged again a few months later!

Same as the last review. I cancelled my subscription on 29/6/25 and they continued to charge me. I got in contact with them to show them that I had cancelled and they asked for bank receipts. I provided them and they said too bad because I only cancelled one type of subscription when they have you on two. App and web! They are sneaky and a money grab and don’t care what reviews they get by the look of it. Any company that puts customer service last is not worth trying. Their product was rubbish which is why I didn’t even get through the trial period before cancelling. Very disappointing as I haven’t even used their app and have been charged repeatedly for it. They have prepared responses no matter what you provide even when asked for the proof and change and say no we aren’t refunding for this or that. Stay well clear.

Photo Leap heeft besloten te stoppen. Toch vonden ze het nodig een jaarabonnement af te schrijven van 40 euro. Als compensatie bieden ze je een gratis maandje op weer een andere app van Lightricks (de Israelische moedermaatschappij van Photo Leap) De Photo Leap app heeft zinnige functies maar komt tegenwoordig zelfs standaard op een Samsung telefoon en de betaalde functies leveren te veel artifacts op dat je bijna verplicht bent de afbeelding te photoshoppen om die 6e vinger of die moer van 22 millimeter als oorbel te verwijderen. Het is een incompleet product dat overigens nog maar 2 maanden zal werken voordat Lightricks de stekker eruit trekt. De censuur op badpak foto’s of iets wat maar feminine lijkt geeft je het gevoel meer te maken te hebben met een orthodoxe ideologie dan een tool die JOUW foto's verwerkt zoals JIJ het wilt. Duidelijk is het feit dat ze het materiaal dat je in de app bewerkt gebruiken om hun photo generator te voeden. Je wordt bestolen en beledigd waar je bijstaat. Niet doen.

This is a con. You have to signup to a trial to use the app and then it's impossible to cancel. I tried to cancel through the instructions in the app, but it didn't go through and it was only months later I noticed the money was still coming out (their emails went into my spam. AVOID.

Therefore, this is a scam company andI'd recommend avoiding them as they don't follow best practice - to send a notification of an auto-renewal.

Je suis extrêmement déçue par cette application. Malgré le fait que je n’ai pas utilisé le service depuis plus d’un an, les prélèvements ont continué sans aucune alerte ni notification.
Lorsque j’ai demandé un remboursement, on m’a opposé les conditions générales, alors même que cela relève clairement d’un manque de transparence et d’une pratique abusive. Aucun rappel, aucun message d’information sur la reconduction automatique.
Je considère cette méthode comme une tactique de facturation opaque, destinée à piéger les utilisateurs qui oublient de résilier.

Will not refund the next year. I didnt sign up, they take a free week and hide the subscription then charge you a year later. Evil.
Charged without clear consent
I was charged for an annual subscription on April 4, 2025, through the Photoleap website, even though I believed I was using a free trial. I only discovered the charge through my banking app — there was no email reminder, no invoice, and no clear notification before the charge.
When I contacted their support within the 14-day cooling-off period, clearly stated in their own Refund Policy (Section 7.1), they refused to issue a refund, claiming the purchase “does not qualify.”
This is the second year in a row I’ve been charged without proper warning. I don’t use the app and never intended to continue the subscription. Despite clear grounds for a refund, the company denies any responsibility.
I’ve already submitted a legal pre-trial notice, filed complaints with Apple, FTC, BBB, and my bank to investigate this as an unauthorized, misleading charge.
Avoid this app unless you want to be charged silently and refused a refund, even if you're within your legal rights.

I agree with all the negative reviews I have read. Internet reviews say how great it is and how easy it is to use for beginners. ITS A TOTAL SCAM! I foolishly paid for an annual subscription. Its extremely complicated and Im not interested in their pictures, Im only interested in MY PICTURES! PHOTOLEAP IS A RIPOFF!!!
