A couple of things to clarify here. When you upgrade your Dreamcatcher tier, we don't prorate the difference – instead, you keep the full entries from your original tier as well as the new one for that billing period, which is why two charges appeared rather than a single adjusted amount. That's by design, to make sure you get full value for both rather than losing out on either.

Separately, there was a genuine error on your account that meant your original subscription didn't cancel when it should have. That's on us, and it's now been cancelled properly, with a full refund issued for the charge that shouldn't have gone through.

Hi Brandon,

Worth explaining how this actually works, since it's a different model to some other competition sites. We don't run physical ticket draws on camera – every Draw closes at a published time and the winner is selected automatically by a cryptographically secure random number generator, the same class of randomness used to protect banking systems. There's no manual step where a result could be chosen, nudged, or reviewed before it's recorded.

On the video point: Calvin does film draws live, on his own phone, showing himself and the screen at the same time – specifically because it proves he's seeing the result at the exact same moment as everyone watching, using the same website, with no early or special access. That's the whole point of it being filmed that way rather than produced or edited.

We hear you on wanting more visibility though – we're working on an overhaul of how live draws are shown, to make the process easier to actually watch and follow. It won't change how a winner is picked, since that's entirely computer-based and can't be influenced by anyone, but it should make the transparency that's already there easier to see for yourself.

Hi Ash,

Worth clarifying on the point about recent winners being newer subscribers, because it's not accurate: this month alone, 16 out of 19 Draws so far have gone to people who joined the platform over 6 months ago. How long someone's been a member has no bearing on their odds either way – every Draw is decided fresh based only on the entries held in that Draw – but the pattern you're describing isn't actually what's happening.

We get that going a long stretch without a win is genuinely frustrating, especially as a long-time follower of Calvin's, and if you do decide it's not for you anymore, we appreciate the years regardless.

In any case, we hope you’ll continue to support Calvin, even if you've decided to leave Planet of Dreams. Keep #ONIT and thanks for everything mate.

Worth clarifying: you don't have to be subscribed to win. Every entry, whether it comes from a FREE entry, a Dreamcatcher subscription, Boost, Space Chests, Fast Track or Spin the Wheel, has an identical chance of being drawn – nothing about the source of an entry affects the odds.

Dreamcatcher subscribers tend to be our most invested players, since it's the best way to get maximum value from the platform – so it's natural that some of that shows up in results too. But free winners are a regular, ongoing part of our results – around 11% of all prizes have gone to free entrants. Just this month alone, a Golf R32 on Sunday 12th and a Sierra RS Cosworth on Sunday 5th both went to free users, along with an iPad Mini and a JBL Xtreme 4. The subscriber badge shown on the winners page just reflects that someone was subscribed at the time – it's not an indication of why they won.

Hi Simon,

Worth clarifying what happened here: where an account holds entries in a Draw that's already taken place, we're not able to fully delete it – that data has to be retained to keep past Draws fair and auditable for everyone, not just you. Suspending the account is the closest equivalent available in that situation, and it fully logs you out and stops any further use or marketing contact.

This isn't something done to make it harder to leave – it's set out in our Terms and applies the same way to every account with Draw history, regardless of the reason for leaving.

Sorry that this isn't the resolution you were looking for, but we're sure you’ll understand that compliance has to come above all else.

Worth clarifying on the live stream moment though: the post you're referring to was from someone who'd won a previous draw, not someone who knew the outcome of that live draw in advance – it reads differently once that's clear. The site is locked for the entire duration of a live draw, so nobody, including Calvin, can see or influence anything while it's happening. He finds out who's won at the exact same moment as everyone watching.

If value was the sticking point, it's worth a fresh look.
