When gym staff ate in they are just sat at a desk chatting I've never seen them re put away any weights that others leave out ..... or replace cable attachments which takes some time to find just poor... Ver mais

I’m guessing this Gym is never going to…
I’m guessing this Gym is never going to be open again, (I walk past it everyday)? I’m still waiting to use since moving here 3years ago. Can you not find other premises to use?

PureGym Tonbridge unfortunately experienced a severe flood and had to close on 17/06/2021, caused by works above the property by our Landlord.
We regret to inform you that PureGym Tonbridge will permanently close in September due to our landlord failing to complete the necessary repairs to the building. We, of course, share your frustration. However, we hope to open a new site in Tonbridge in the future.
Existing memberships will be cancelled. As a reminder no payments have been taken from your bank account, and you will receive a communication confirming the end of your membership.
We are disappointed that we are unable to serve the community of Tonbridge with great value fitness as we had hoped. Don't forget, with over 380 PureGyms across the country, we may have a gym you can still join, including the closest gym Tunbridge Wells.

Lazy gym staff
When gym staff ate in they are just sat at a desk chatting I've never seen them re put away any weights that others leave out ..... or replace cable attachments which takes some time to find just poor house keeping and n0t once seen them challange anyone or empty a full bin or pick up empty water bottles or rubbish

Hi Steve. Thanks for taking the time to leave this review, we always appreciate and take on board member feedback.
It is in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, this is the members responsibility, not staff. At peak times especially it can be hard to police this. However, staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights and are looking for new ways to combat this.

No customer support
Joined Puregym Tonbridge only for it to close indefinitely. Want to switch to Sevenoaks but the app won’t let me. Tried to start a new membership but again the app won’t let me. Emailed Puregym and got a generic reply which did not help at all - absolutely no customer support whatsoever!

Due to complications out of our control, we have not yet been able to open the gym back up. We fully understand how frustrating to our members this may be and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience.

Closed since last year!
Closed since June 2021. Now January 2022 and still closed after over half a year with no updates on when it will open. Definitely more than refurbishments happening than they are sharing to customers. Flats upstairs are being refurbed as scaffolding is surrounding the whole upstairs when it’s only a ground floor gym.

Aside from the gym being closed again…
Aside from the gym being closed again just after it reopened, the gym itself never really felt safe through COVID restrictions as the staff didn’t enforce any of the rules.
Now that people are vaccinated I guess that’s less of an issue but it still is concerning that the team didn’t seem to be too concerned with well-being.

We pump over 2,000 litres of fresh air into our gyms every second though our ventilation systems. This helps to dilute airborne virus particles and ensure members have clean fresh air to workout.
Our gyms will be deep cleaned every night with high-grade anti-viral disinfectant. The team will also clean every piece of kit and surface throughout the day, from dumbbells to treadmills and everything in between, so you can train with confidence.
We've installed new self-cleaning stations so you can clean your kit before and after use, for added peace of mind. Cleaning stations are located in all key areas of the gym to make it as easy as possible.

No idea why you sent me this
No idea why you sent me this. Our Gym is closed because of flooding and has been for months. Any other business would communicate frequently with an update on when the builders expect it to be opened again. Pure has done the opposite and given us no information re an opening date hoping that we will not leave and join another gym.
If you treat us like adults and tell us when you think it will reopen, then we can make an informed choice for the next x months.

My gym has been closed due to flooding…
My gym has been closed due to flooding for over a month now with no indication of when it will re-open. Poor communication relating to the closure from Pure Gym.

Unfortunately due to the extent of the damage made, the Club has had to undergo a full refit. We are as equally disappointed but the team are working as hard as they can to reopen the club but need to make sure it is 100% safe to do so.
