Our remote Christmas event was just superb.
Highly recommend using their services, they are very accommodating and friendly.
The whole group thoroughly enjoyed the session, lots of interactive sessions filled with laughter and fun!

Easy prompt communication. We were given a contact number for the host in advance but didn’t need it. They arrived in plenty of time & kept 20 Cub Scouts (& leaders) entertained for the entire session. Thank you.

Our works Christmas party was a blast, we went through the years quiz games with some all time favorites. The hosts were great and the time flew by with some great laughs as the team went up against each other. Lets do this again next Christmas or maybe sooner.

Straight forward booking process. Jenn was very helpful, replied quickly
and answered all my queries. Booked this for my partners 30th with his friends, had all details provided via the quote regarding timings, payment deadlines, what to wear, so this made it easy to organise for them.

The event host was great and everyone who took part in our company really enjoyed the Crystal Challenge activity. The issue was the change to the number of teams we had agreed a few days beforehand. This meant we had to reorganise our teams and not have the same teams in the evening as we did for the afternoon.

AVOID - Dreadful experience with Red Cactus events. Booked a zorb football event in Berlin, cost about £40 a person to include venue hire. We turned up and there was no venue at all - it was just in a public park on a small bit of grass, there weren't enough zorbs for all of us and the ones which were there smelled sweaty. I complained to Red Cactus Events, had to follow up after large gaps between emails and on the last communication with them I got an email late at night, not addressing any concerns telling me there would be 'no further communication' on the matter. Also Red Cactus has replied to this below saying there was no venue hire included, but it is clearly stated on their website that there is, so doubling down on bad behaviour.

We had an absolutely first class experience with Red Cactus from the initial enquiry through to the pack up after the event. All the staff we dealt with were enthusiatic and so professional but also massive fun on the day. We chose the Office Games session which ran perfectly and to time, even though we had 60+ people to accomodate. All the Tech was well assembled and worked as it should. Loads of positive feedback from the conference attendees. Special mention to our host who was excellent.

I loved the combat archery for our staff social, great it was great fun.

Awful, they emailed me a week before the event telling me I did not pay enough and that I had only paid for ten people when I actually paid for 20 and sent them invoice etc to show I had paid for 20 and then they didn’t reply so did not know going to the event if all was going to be ok and they also never requested our drink options but luckily pop world were very accommodating.

We took part in the archery combat event for a stag do, it was a lot of fun and the staff were helpful and organised to get the event sorted. If I had one improvement, there could have been more resources (more obstacles, more bows and arrows so we could have bigger teams, etc) but the event was enjoyable and I would recommend them.

Really poor overall experience. I booked for a group of ten of us as part of a stag weekend in Brighton. I booked based on the website, the description of the venue, the photos on the website and what was due to be part of the package. It’s safe to say nothing which was described on the website happened. The surface was a very poorly maintained grassy area with several potholes at least 1 foot in diameter. When we turned up members of the public were walking their dogs across the grass. We saw no checks being made but apparently this was their private land-clearly they don’t prioritise safety because no maintenance has taken place. The goals were over 100 meters a part and no pitch markings so a five aside match would have exhausted us within 5 minutes! Both goals had been bent backwards so no investment had been seen. It was a very different experience compared to the nice 4G photos used on the website. In the end we had to convince the staff member to allow us to use a concrete netball pitch which at least was flat and had markings to use for a basic pitch.

There were no changing rooms offered to us during our session or afterwards for a shower. The games which the website came with our package didn’t happen or be offered-we were just told to kick a ball for 20 minutes, we could have 5 minutes for halftime then we would have another 20 half. No crossbar challenge (there wasn’t a crossbar we could have used!) and the staff member has heard of the other two games.

I’m obviously only basing this review on my experience in Brighton but when I raised a complaint after with the company I was told effectively that the website should only be used as a guide and it wasn’t a guarantee for what I would be paying for.

I’ve added a picture for context to see the standard of the facility we played on compared to the website. In the distance you can see one of the goals from the grass pitch we were told to play on so you can make your own decision about how realistic the website is.

Overall I think there was no value for money, the company are only interested in taking as much money from you as possible without investing in anything to improve the experience and I would widely recommend anyone considering booking this to find an alternative experience instead.

We can't thank the team at Red Cactus enough for our experience! We booked rather last minute due to being let down by another company for my friend's hen do. Jenn and Helen were extremely quick to respond to my enquiry and answered all my questions without hesitation. The booking process was simple to follow making organising a breeze.
We chose an old school sports day and bubble football for our events and we giggled from start to finish! Our team leader Frazer was friendly and ran the event smoothly and confidently making us feel instantly at ease. We had so much fun! Thank you again!

A great experience using Red Cactus events for our staff meeting. Emily is brilliant and orgnaised a perfect day for our team. From the first contact, to getting the booking in place- it was very easy and Emily was always contactable for questions.
We hosted a meeting in the morning and then a sports day theme in the afternoon, whcih was outsourced to an activity company. The set up worked really well, great venue, great organisation and perfect planning! Our team all loved it and thank you again Emily!

Would give 0* if possible seeing as the booked and paid for activities weren’t able to take place as had been arranged.

We booked the ‘stitch up the stag’ life drawing class. Upon arrival at the address, the location wasn’t really in keeping with the chosen activity as we were asked to wait in a meeting room / conference suite of a hotel (not really an appropriate environment for a group of lads on a stag do). We had also arrived at the time stated on the ‘event pack’ sent to us prior to the day, to be told by the hotel that no one was there for us and we were to just sit and wait. No drinks or anything were available.
After nearly a two hour wait, the host arrived who was completely unprepared and didn’t have any of the equipment. She even stated that the facilities weren’t suitable for the activity. The lady was also unable to locate any of the equipment that had apparently been sent for the activities to take place. The hotel offered some pens and pads but by this point, the atmosphere was totally ruined and we had to abort.
The aftercare received from this company has been truly awful. After paying in excess of £400, we have been offered £120 refund as a ‘goodwill gesture’ as they are claiming that the event could have taken place (two hours later than planned) as they have tracking from Royal Mail to say the equipment was delivered?! It is not our responsibility to locate this equipment - this is the duty of Red Cactus and the hotel to sort this dispute. Both the hotel manager and the life drawing artist have both given us their details as they are happy to support our claims in that this activity could not go ahead to the standard we had paid for.
Completely understand that sometimes things don’t go to plan and there can be problems with logistics, but the aftercare is key. This company very much need to improve their service.

Thank you to Marie- Ann and Sophie who hosted our works summer party near Manchester! We all had a fantastic day and even those who weren't too sure of what it was going to be like really enjoyed themselves. Thank you ! We cant wait for the next one!

Red cactus events. DONT touch them, recently booked an event as the said they had the time slot I required to fit in with other parts of my twins birthday. Had long conversations and emails to clarify this. Should have been worried when one of the reps said she didn’t think they covered my area! After hesitating and making sure what I wanted was available even confirming the venue as they were unaware of the venues own health and safety policy of stud style foot wear on the pitches was mandatory.Paid my deposit in good faith and got confirmation and receipt for my booking. A few days later received an email time slot not available. But then gave me slots that came up on another website. I was offered these timings. Which didn’t work as i had already discounted this company because of this reason. I even spoke to red cactus about extending the time to an hour and a half to make it worth while they wanted over £400 for this. Red cactus are now trying to hide behind no deposit return even though they broke the their own terms and I have the invoice an emails to prove this. Other providers 1.5 hours a lot less than these jokers. Con artists don’t know what they’re selling. AVOID at all costs. An hour and half with other companies was cheaper than an hour with red cactus obviously as I always suspected franchise the work put a mark up on for nothing.
