Very Good Leisure Break
We booked the hotel as a treat for our anniversary and a football trip to Blackburn. Large hotel with good quality facilities, the food was good as was the large swimming pool.
The grounds were fairly plain

Amazing trip to Sri Lanka
Amazing experience and as advertised!The accommodation, hotels, and trips on our recent booking were absolutely amazing and exactly as advertised. Everything matched the descriptions perfectly, and we found it to be very good value for money. We had a flawless experience from start to finish and will definitely book again!A special mention must go to our incredible tour guide, Imran Ahamed. He was exceptionally knowledgeable, attentive, and organized, making sure every part of our itinerary ran smoothly while adding so much local insight to our journey. Imran truly made the trip unforgettable!

Secret Escapes to the rescue
We experienced a problem with our booking at a hotel, we booked through Secret Escapes.
We asked the hotel for a refund due to an error with the booking and no room available for us, resulting in us having to return home.
They refused.
We contacted SEscapes.
Who took up our complaint with the Hotel and eventually secured us a refund.
We could not have done it without them.
Awesome effort Secret Escapes, Thank You, very much .
We will not hesitate to use you again and will book more escapes, safe in the knowledge that you look after your customers .

Absolute disaster
Absolute disaster.
I booked a hotel stay, to be told the next day it was cancelled. (However it was still showing on secret escapes website and the hotel still had availability…)
So I emailed to question what was going on. No straight answers and about 12 emails later I was finally refunded. Watch out because they’ll try to add the refund as ‘credit’ to your secret escapes account rather than giving you the cash back.
The next day, I got the same original email telling me the booking was cancelled…it was as though I’d dreamt the whole process!!
The right arm doesn’t know what the left one is doing.
Avoid and use Travel Zoo instead - much more reliable!

Ease of booking. Lovely hotel and close to places of interest. Excellent staff all knowledgeable and very helpful. Room was boiling even though no heating on. Peaceful on the side we stayed but would want to be on the side of the A14, too noisy. Food excellent.
Only comment I have is that there was hair on bathroom floor and cobwebs running from top of wardrobe to doorway.

Excellent hotel
Excellent hotel, great staff, great food and beautiful building and location. The only thing that criticise and I’m being picky is that you only have the bar to sit in and relax and it’s not very big but overall a great hotel for a couple of nights away.
We stayed in one of the suites and the room was excellent, we also had a meal in the restaurant both nights and this was also excellent.
