It was easy to look at prices and dates that would work best for us. Each step was very clear. But on payment this was very confusing as Secret Escapes took all the payment details and I received a code number for payment, which was to be payed to Viva Holidays. Making it look like a scam. I believe it was to confirm the card was legitimate. This put us in a calamity also it was only when you get to this stage you are informed if you don't complete it will still cost you £35.00 not very nice. We are still waiting to complete the transaction.

On the worst holiday we have had in years. Don’t be fooled by the expensive price and promise of 4 star hotels. They don’t care less that we feel stranded in the middle of nowhere in a hotel that can’t even provide a cup for mediocre coffee unless you wait 5 minutes. Avoid secret escapes they advertise falsely- we booked All Inclusive only to be told it only covers a beer or wine or something fizzy with your meal. Can’t believe they get away with putting someone in such a poor hotel.

Keine Unterstützung bei Problemen und keine vollständige Koste-Rückerstattung durch Secret Escapes

Sachverhalt

Unsere über Secret Escapes gebuchte Sizilien-Pauschalreise beinhaltete einen Rückflug von Catania nach Wien. Dieser Flug wurde aufgrund des Ätna-Ausbruchs annulliert.

Secret Escapes informierte uns nicht einmal über die Annullierung (!!) und organisierte auch keine (!!) Ersatzbeförderung bis zum gebuchten Endziel Wien. Obwohl Secret Escapes als Vermittler beziehungsweise Veranstalter der über Secret Escapes gebuchten Pauschalreise für eine angemessene Unterstützung und die ordnungsgemäße Organisation der Rückreise verantwortlich war, mussten wir unsere Rückreise unter chaotischen Bedingungen selbst organisieren!!!

Die Kommunikation mit Secret Escapes erwies sich dabei als unzureichend. Secret Escapes stellte keine vollständige Rückbeförderung bis Wien sicher und ließ uns mit der praktischen Organisation der notwendigen Weiterreise komplett allein!!!!!

Kosten

Für die notwendige Organisation der Rückreise mussten wir folgende Kosten vorfinanzieren:

• Benzin und Maut
• Flughafentransfer
• Weiterreise von München nach Wien
• notwendige Übernachtung in Wien

Die insgesamt entstandenen und belegten Kosten betrugen EUR 1.311,94.

Diese Kosten entstanden ausschließlich deshalb, weil Secret Escapes keine vollständige Rückbeförderung bis zum gebuchten Endziel Wien organisierte. Trotz der über Secret Escapes gebuchten Pauschalreise mussten wir die erforderlichen Maßnahmen selbst treffen und die Kosten vollständig vorfinanzieren!!!

Bisherige Reaktion

Wir haben Secret Escapes sämtliche Belege übermittelt und Secret Escapes wiederholt um eine vollständige Erstattung der angefallenen Kosten ersucht.

Secret Escapes bot jedoch lediglich EUR 542,00 an. Damit lehnte Secret Escapes die vollständige Erstattung der tatsächlich entstandenen und erforderlichen Kosten in Höhe von EUR 1.311,94 ab.

Die von Secret Escapes angebotene Zahlung deckt somit nicht einmal annähernd sämtliche notwendigen Aufwendungen ab, die uns infolge der nicht vollständig organisierten Rückreise entstanden sind. Secret Escapes hat trotz mehrfacher Kontaktaufnahme keine vollständige Kostenerstattung geleistet!!!

Da die Angelegenheit mit Secret Escapes trotz wiederholter Kontaktaufnahme bislang nicht zufriedenstellend geklärt wurde, werden wir unsere Ansprüche gegen Secret Escapes wahrscheinlich rechtlich geltend machen müssen!!! Vielleicht kommt Secret Escapes jedoch noch zur Einsicht, dass man mit seinen Kunden nicht auf diese Weise verfahren kann und Secret Escapes die tatsächlich entstandenen notwendigen Kosten selbstverständlich vollständig zu erstatten hat!!!!!

It is a beautiful hotel in Durham City.
Because we booked through Secret Escapes we got a discounted rate with extras such as a bottle of Prosecco on ice in thd room on arrival, a late check out on departure and a 25% discount on food and drinks in the onsite Marco Peirre White restaurant.
Hoping they do this deal again and if so we will definitely book
