First time use for sourcing HP drives for server array
First time I have used Servers Direct to source some HP drives for an array. Web site was clear on the details and parts required, and sensibly priced. Arrived a day late, probably due to new year, but the comms was good with emails and texts highlighting the delay. Things dont always go smoothly, but its a good sign when you are kept in the loop.

Only surprise was the foliow up call from Laptops Direct regarding warranty, and it appears the two trading arms are linked.

Gutting experience so far.
Honestly, we've had a terrible experience so far, and we are utterly gutted about this. I researched the best place to order a near- £3,000 MSI Raider 18, with the original intent to pick it up from Huddersfield. On the sales page, they said the item WILL be able to be picked up on the 1st November from Huddersfield.
When we went to delivery options, the option for pick up at Huddersfield was only available for the 4th Nov onwards, and Castle Donnington from the 6th. We're away from the 2nd; so we paid an extra £10 for "next day delivery". It was incredibly early on Monday, so we expected that to be Tuesday. No, the "Next Day" in SD world was apparently Wednesday. Okay, whatever, at least it's still before the dates we're going away.
My husband phoned SD on the Tuesday to absolutely confirm the delivery for the following day - come on, it's a massive purchase, no one really has £3k to just blow, it's taken a long time to save for this, so of course we were going to chase this up every step BECAUSE their website held no tracking information despite completing the steps they suggested to get said tracking information. It was just stuck on "In progress". The day before the delivery, surely it should have been packed and ready for delivery at least?
The colleague informed my husband that yes, there was no problem, "we guarantee your delivery will be with you tomorrow and you'll receive tracking information this evening at the latest."
Nearly 10pm comes around, of course AFTER SD phone lines close, stating the order has been delayed and will NOT be tomorrow like planned (and paid for).
It is now the prospective delivery day, and we are on a heated phone call with SD with them saying the delivery will be on the 6TH NOVEMBER.
We were ASSURED we would get this today, and we are being told they can't expedite the processing time for us to pick it up on Friday at the earliest.
Basically, what has happened, is THEY DON'T HAVE THE STOCK that they sold to us. Apparently there was a "fault" with the stock numbers from the warehouse - so I can't even suggest to other prospective customers to phone ahead before placing an order to ensure the item you're paying for is even in their tradeship.
The woman we first spoke to was flat and unempathetic and actually quite infuriating, being unable to understand our position and us having to repeat, constantly, WHAT our position is and that we CANNOT physically accept a delivery on the 6th November.
The resolution thus far has been a refund of the £9.99 next day delivery fee, and an offer of a £10 voucher across SD. Like we have any trust left in them to purchase again? Like SD have anything a £10 would even touch?
The Sales Team Manager was put through to us and he was a lot more empathetic to the situation and told us everything that was happening. He upped the £10 voucher to a £50 credit directly into our account, which we are happy with as that covers the petrol we will need to travel to collect this.
Of course - none of this is guaranteed. Undertsandably. Their *estimated* intake will be on the 1st November; it takes 2 working days to process and confirm that intake (which cannot be expedited, apparently) so it is ESTIMATED that it'll be available for pick up from the 6th (taking into account the weekend inconveniently in the way), but we've had to opt for the 8th earliest due to us being away (and before you say anything, the whole point of coming to SD was for those ocnvenient delivery options in a timely manner)
What I don't understand is;
The original pick up dates from the delivery options page still stand. They KNEW they didn't have the stock.
Really, really, unhappy with this entire situation.

I ordered a Microsoft surface pro…
I ordered a Microsoft surface pro keyboard on the 8th October for my husbands birthday.
On the 9th October I received an email stating that my order had been 'processed' and was 'on it's way' the ETA for delivery was on or by 14th October.
On the 15th October I emailed Servers Direct to ask for an update on the delivery as the product had not arrived.
On the 17th October I received a reply stating that 'the item can only be sold to company by the supplier and would I like them to look for an alternative product or refund me?' - as it had already taken 9 days to get to this point I requested a refund!
On the 20th October I received an email from Servers Direct stating 'you’ve asked the supplier to cancel your order – it can take 1-2 days to process the cancellation and then your refund will be processed within 24 hours'
On the 25th I reached out again for an update as I still had not received a refund.
On the 27th I received an email stating that someone would call be before 11am tomorrow to discuss this.
Monday 28th October - 3pm still no call so I called them. Very nice lady on the phone, but she didn't have a clue! I was advised that Servers Direct was still trying to negotiate my refund with the supplier?????????? As the company/supplier could not fulfil my order what is there to negotiate?
About to call my credit card company for a charge back as I am not waiting an additional 5 days to be refunded.
Extremely poor service - not once did Servers Direct update me apart from when they falsely emailed me to tell me my order had been 'processed' and was 'on it's way'.
Extremely disappointed and considering the glowing reviews on Trustpilot quite confused!

Ordered and paid for Saturday delivery
Ordered and paid for Saturday delivery, order never arrived. Got in touch with customer service on Monday to ask about my order, only to be told I should expect an update in 48 hours. Yeah not great!

Poor delivery communication
Ordered a laptop for next day delivery due to business requirements.
On day of advertised delivery there was no tracking provided.
Used customer live chat to request update, was initially told the laptop is being sent by a supplier of ServersDirect, directly to me so no tracking available.
At 5pm, I messaged ServersDirect again and this time was told they will escalate and someone will call me the next day and then closed the chat.
5 minutes after closing the chat I received an email from UPS with a tracking number and message saying the supplier had not yet given UPS the package and the delivery had just been set up with them (whilst I was on chat with ServersDirect).
Really bad delivery organisation, will probably not use again as it has reputational cost to my business.
Still waiting for delivery.
Update: laptop has been delivered.
