Be warned this bulb does not work on 5GHz

My only requirement was that the bulb worked on 5GHz which the advert confirmed to be the case, turns out it isn't and you have to add a second network on 2.4GHz for it to operate. Complete waste of money.

Rip off call charges

Calling Servers Direct cost me £1.80 for a 2 minute phone call. They do not tell you that you get a service access charge on top of the 13p pm. Rip off avoid companies that do this to make money from you.

Disappointed Though Not Surprised

The main reason for my rating was that I bought a laptop with a 15.6 inch screen and it's actually 14. I watch a lot of content and movies so always go larger rather than smaller with my laptop's. I always have reservations when shopping online as you can never really be sure of what you will actually receive (which should never be an issue in any case). As I need a laptop now I thought I would make do and be more careful with whom I shop in future. This kind of error should simply not happen though as the title of this review shows it's the unnecessary risk you take when shopping online. This simply should not have occurred.

Extreme delays and poor customer…

Extreme delays and poor customer experience. I just wanted to cash in a credit note (from when they’d previously delivered a damaged item) and purchase a computer monitor to work from home.

- 23 Aug, ordered the item and paid extra for delivery on 27 Aug
- 25 Aug, auto email- delivery delayed 2 Sept
- 31 Aug, auto email- delivery delayed 8 Aug. I tried to contact via LiveChat, no response. I carried Ed to contact via Twitter, no recent tweets. I checked the website, the item was still being advertised as ‘in stock’. I emailed the Sales Advisor who had placed the order, no response. I found a general email address and received the response of ‘incredibly sorry’, wait, or choose another item. I asked them to refund the delivery charge, they did not acknowledge this request.
- 6 Sept, auto email- delivery delayed 13 Sept
- 8 Sept, auto email- delivery delayed 16 Sept
- 14 Sept, auto email- delivery delayed 23 Sept
- 21 Sept, auto email- delivery delayed 1 Oct
- 29 Sept, auto email- delivery delayed 6 Oct
- 6 Oct, no delivery
- 7 Oct, no delivery
- 8 Oct, no delivery. I emailed customer service again and directly asked about compensation. I was met with the same ‘we’re truly sorry about the inconvenience’, wait, or choose another option.

Infuriating service.

Order not received and Poor customer service

Ordered Desktop PC on 25th Aug and paid delivery charges for collect plus next day delivery.
Item was not delivered on 26th Aug. Today (27th Aug) I called customer service and they were very rude and unapologetic and did not resolve issue apart from saying that you will your order today. I emailed customer service and they refunded delivery charges. At the time of writing this review I see on delivery tracking website my order was not delivered and returned to Depot again.
Company returned delivery charge but I have not received my order. I am not worried about delivery charge but I need my order for which company has charged the full amount. I would have rather bought the same item elsewhere if they have not promised to deliver next day.

Quick response times

Even though there was an issue with my purchase (a missing part), Appliances Direct acted quickly and resolved my issue satisfactorily. I would recommend to my family and friends. They are friendly and courteous and respond quickly.
