So to rewind the clock to 20th April 2024. What a fantastic experience at The Tyburn House. My Mother-in-laws 80th birthday. We booked a table for 3. Food was superb and the manageress was happy to bring out the birthday cake and asked the band to sing happy birthday. So Thankyou, that is why it will always remain my local and a special mention to bar staff member Leanne for accompanying the manageress out to sing happy birthday. All current members of staff on different occasions have made a visit special. So a stark contrast to my previous review, both reviews a personal experience, and illustrate the lowest and the highest experience that the Tyburn can deliver.

Friendly helpful staff however the internal surroundings could well do with updating.
We were happy with our food and feel that the menu is good and prices are very reasonable.

We ordered 2 steaksirloin 8oz steaks both were practically inedible .
After complaining in the pub we followed up with an online complaint with receipt number 53/9298 and received no response .
The seats we were given were of the cracked leatherette varity.

We have been visiting this pub for around 3 months and still haven't been able to beat our experiences. The value of money is outstanding. Locals are very friendly and that goes for the staff also. Kelly is just amazing and if there's something she can do for you she will. Lovely pub and would tell everyone to pop in.

This is the second time we have sent food back at the centenary, this is not a complaint about the service we got from the waiting staff just the food, all thrre meals were cold, chips looked like they had been warmed up multiple times, buns on the burgers were burnt black and left a horrible taste in your mouth. We sent them back and everything came back in about 3 minutes nothing cooked fresh just microwaved, I like the sizzling pubs and as a family we go at least once a week, but we won't be going back to the centenary, I would rather go elsewhere.

I visited the hazelwell today and their new menu is amazing it has such a wide variety suitable for everyone and they have a 2 meals for £11 deal
The food was beautiful and served quickly but you could tell everything was freshly cooked
The bar staff were friendly and helpful and recommended the deals available and asked about food allergies and taste requirements
The manager came and asked if everything was ok and was very helpful with a special food request
I will definitely be returning

We celebrated Mothers Day with eight of our family at the Brooklands Pub and had a wonderful time. The table was beautifully laid out and the food on the new menu was excellent. We were very impressed with the choice and presentation of the food which was very tasty. It is our local pub and the staff are always friendly and very helpful. Many thanks to Mel and all her staff for making our Mothers Day celebration so special.

I go to Kings Head in Waltham on special occasions and it’s nearly my birthday and I received a voucher for money off drinks. So I took my family for Lunch and drinks. There were five of us and we sat at a table. It was busy so I waited a long time at the bar to place my order. When I was served the lady told me there was about a fifty minute wait. We sat and had our drinks. Waited for over an hour then some of us got our food, it was cold. And two of our group didn’t get theirs until ten minutes later.

Could do better. 😒

My mum and I always treat ourselves to lunch at Maxwell. Good value for money and always polite staff.

Today was another lovely meal out and Josh and Gareth took care of us and set us up a nice table in the dog eating area. Looking forward to our next occasion

Was at marmalade pot in linwood phoenix , staff are very efficient and friendly also a lot of patience for dogs 🐕 even have a dog menu , treats , water bowel , food great 👍 5 star 🌟

they was sick all over the floor and in the toilets really unhygienic. I order chicken nuggets for my 2 year old daughter and we had 3 people try the nuggets and all said it tastes like soap. I made a complaint and nothing got done. We also had to wait over hour for the food to come which was cold and small portions.

I would highly recommend the Plough Sizzling pub! The customer service was top-notch, especially from Sue, Emily, Ross and Millie, they go above and beyond to support the customers.
The food is fantastic value. Will definitely be back.

Starter of Halloumi fries fried to dark brown colour. Belly of pork sizzler inedible. It was black, too tough to cut and just tasted of burnt food

Very bad experience today at the General Roy.

This is the second time that using the app at the pub that I have ordered a starter and they have had to be reminded of, resulting in an excessive wait.

And today on my birthday they have now provided food for my guests and not provided my order.

This was not a good start but then I was approached by someone who did not identify his position within the establishment, however he proceeded to talk in a condescending way to me.

If this is the standard of service provided by this firm I would suggest that you look at an establishment that respects its customers and provides a quality of service which is lacking here.

I for one will not be visiting it again and I would suggest you do not, however if you do so, never use their app, you may not get your order.

We held a wake here and not being local thought we would scope it out before booking. All I can say is what an amazing experience. Food and service was second to none. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and made a sad occasion better than we could have wished for.

Visited our Local Sizzling Pubs which was the Old Ship Inn,Lee on Solent today (18th January 2024), and after it's recent refurbishment which looks very nice we had a table booked for my wife and I.
Now due to her mobility issues I asked the pub in the special requests of the app if we could have a table away from the centre of the restaurant but buy the windows where there is more room to get in and out from the table and to use thr toilets easier.
Well every time we use this pub we put in the same requests and every time we are always ignored and stuck in the centre of the restaurant, and the reason.... because we are only two if us, does that make us any less important than three or four, in my eyes if you book a table with specific requests then that table should be reserved for you, and any late customers should be told that there is no more tables available, or put more tables for two people nearer or by the windows so they can be used by people with mobility issues. I think when I book a table next time I'll book a table for three or four, at least then we might get a more suitable table with easier access.
Please don't have preferences for bookings of three or 4 and neglect your two people bookings.
Anyway the meal was first class as usual, the service impeccable, and the location second to none (where else could you eat your Lunch on a sunny winters day overlooking the Solent with the Isle of Wight in full view ).
This is my local pub/restaurant come winter and summer and would never change for any of the other establishments, so four stars given for the pub,staff,meal and location, but minus one star for not caring about your two customers who need a table with specific mobility issues being ignored
(Thanks to one of the bar staff who managed to finally source us a table in the TV lounge area, it helped immensely)

Wow, what a meal at Brimsham Park. What fantastic service and such clean welcoming surroundings. The mixed grill and steak was cooked to perfection, absolutely devine. My daughters bbq grilled chicken and after eight pudding was devoured with gusto. My wifes gammon and apple crumble pudding was just what was needed this chilly evening. The service was impressive, prompt & sincere, even checking that there were no allergies or issues with the food. Upon checking, insee they have a breakfast menu, so will definitely return to try the workers bap out for starters.
My daughter even wrote her own review, stating.The food was so good, especially for kids over 5's the BBQ chicken. It was lovely. I will hopefully come again. Aged 11

The music was lively, but easily able to have a normal conversation with family.

The portion sizes were spot on. My daughter never finishes any of her food and drink, either at home or out and about, but tonight, she devoured the lot. Congratulations for such a great venue.
