Shocking service. Came here after my grandfather’s funeral, had the silver buffet for which a reservation had been paid. They forgot that this was ordered. Not very apologetic. We got whatever they had in the freezer. Promised tea and coffee. Then didn’t want to serve it. Unhappy day made worse by Chessington Oak (sizzling pub) incompetence

Well booked a table for the festive menu ! That is available from 22nd of November to the 2nd of January! We get there my table wasn’t booked and to be told the festive menu is only available Christmas Day but on the leaflet I took from there and the advert I seen on Facebook and also outside pub says it’s available from 22nd of November to the 2nd of January but isn’t available Christmas Day ! So I was lied to by the staff ! I have the leaflet so the yeoman in Bristol is lying

Visited The White House Aldridge, for our wedding anniversary, went for the two meals for £11. My meal was a lasagna with garlic bread, which was ok but very small. My husband had the Gammon which was ok. For dessert I picked Eton Mess, which looked very good when it arrived but sadly had no Meringue in it. When I pointed out the issue the lad said it was his fault he forgot to put some in. My husband’s crumble was ok but the custard was cold. We didn’t complain but will not be going there in the future. The coffee from the machine was very good.

The food was class lots of choices and the staff were exceptional and everything was just perfect

My wife loves the sizzling chicken from this pub chain so we booked a table at King Henry to celebrate her birthday.
The food was absolutely delicious and, as a surprise, the chef, Dale, personally served her a platter of chocolate, strawberries and sauce - what a wonderful and thoughtful 'gift'.

Couldnt even rate this company a 0. I made a resonable complaint about of their venues due to unprofessional behaviour about two of their managers and i was banned from the venue in retaliation to a complaint i made on behalf of a customer.

We've visited Southdowns in Felpham Bignor regis many times, service continues to be shocking, we come here because its convenient to walk to. We order on the app, as easier than queuing at the bar, but they regularly get our orders wrong and beer is flat. Tonight I got 5 pints for the price of two! Although it did take 20 minutes to get the first three pints! Toilets are dirty and toilet seats have been broken for weeks. Just the one * :-(

Re: the Sizzler chain (part of Mitchell & Butlers brewery)
This brand decided c. early 2023 to apply a 75p ADDITIONAL charge (on top of the base charge) to customers choosing MUSHY PEAS (rather than garden peas). It appears to be the ONLY brand within M&B's umbrella that applies this ludicrously unjust price add-on. Its formal response cites the following disproportionate reason... "the portion size is bigger [NOT SO] and the cost price is higher" [likely to be very MINIMALLY higher].
It's a real shame they've taken this petty stance - especially since the staff and customer service levels at their pubs are brilliant. I feel sorry for each manager not having control over these prices. I won't feel sorry for the brand if they lose customers over such an unfair supplement to the meal cost.

This is my third visit to The Park in Hillsborough, Sheffield, and each visit has been superb. Today (as with the last visit), the staff member and her manager were brilliant. My daughter has a milk/soya allergy and they spent a lot of time and trouble to ensure our meals were totally dairy/soya free. Our Classic burgers and chips were very tasty and we were served quickly. I can't fault The Park and recommend it highly.

Birthday Disaster!
I visited here recently with my son for a birthday tea. The pub was busy with a distinct lack of staff so we ordered at the table and the drinks arrived about 10 to 15 minutes before the meals. My son had ordered a burger and chips which arrived hot but didn't resemble the picture on the menu, I had ordered a surf and turf which was supposed to be delivered on a sizzling platter but was not and whilst the chips were hot the steak was cold. I tried to get the attention of the waitress and failed so eventually took my meal back to the bar. There was a member of staff that wasn't serving but was very friendly and I explained that the chips were hot but the steak cold and could it please be replaced. About 5 minutes later a replacement arrived at the table and the lady said I will come and check on you in a few minutes. Unfortunately yet again the platter was not sizzling, the chips were hot but the steak only warm and undercooked and bloody. I tried to get the attention of the waitress who passed the table on several occasions but who ignored me so I waited for the same lady to come back, by which time my son was now finishing his meal. I complained that yet again it was cold and this time undercooked as well, I explained it was supposed to be my son's birthday tea and wanted a refund for my meal as I wasn't going to bother. She apologised and did refund the entire meal which was appreciated but after been given 2 cold meals and the last one very undercooked I would not return. Absolute joke and if they can't cook a steak let alone serve it hot on a "sizzling platter" it makes a joke of the term on the menu....obvious lack of staff and training!!

We went to our local pub The Ffrith Prestatyn for a meal last night. 40% off the said but it was a shame only about 20% of the things listed on the menu were available! I just can't see how the place remains open!

Brilliant cooked meal and service at the jubilee inn in Grimsby friendly staff and food amazing

went to the prairie today had the table booked for 2 oclock ,when we arrived there was no one there or behind the bar stood there for 10 mins until someone turned up ordered via the app the food was bad really bad ,the starters of chicken strips beer battered salt and pepper mushrooms was all over cooked the main meals arrived oh my god £14 for the ultimate mixed grill no mushrooms no egg small piece of steak over cooked the burger and chips very very plain no side salad no nothing my daughter found a spider in her steak all we got was sorry we will get you another who the hell wants to eat another after finding a spider in the first ,the desserts crap plain and simple everything we order had chocolate sauce but it had been smeared all over the plate so you did not get any i will never visit again ever this visit cost us £170

I have driven past the place hundreds of times and never wanted to go in .

On an off chance as Leigh was busy we went in !

We have missed a gem ! Walked in to a really nice atmosphere and one of the warmest welcomes I have had ,

Mary was so kind nice helpful clearly loves her job and the company ! What a credit to sizzler brand !

With a little bit of interior investment this place would give every Leigh pub a run for its money !

I will 100 % come back and also now to try the food !!!

Bridlington sizzling pub, such poor quality food, told 45min wait for food as chefs have been told to reduce hours!!!!
Disgusting scampi bits!!( not cooked certainly a very poor portion , poor chips, cold, dry peas.
One very large Berger meal didn’t even fill a 4” bun or maybe it was 3.5” bun!
Pretty typical Mitchell’s and Butler’s rip off rubbish food!!!
WHY!!!!!!

Came for a family members birthday, spent over £80 on meals, extremely dry food no-one enjoyed their meal. We had a 9 month old with us and ordered a child's meal which was dry, when asked if any chance of a bit of gravy putting on was told I had to buy a portion! Really disappointed, will not be dining here again, expensive afternoon out to not enjoy.

Friendly, clean and welcoming pub, great prices for Monday club, and to top it off, the most delicious and well cooked salmon I have ever had - a great addition to the menu! With incredibly helpful and polite staff, it's no wonder The County, South Shields is one of the most popular pubs in town - well done to all staff!

We went the Red Lion at penketh at Warrington yesterday - we had a group booking of 14 people. I can honestly say the staff were great and the food was good value and for a large group that got the covers out really well ! On site play area was great for the kids … overall a very good experience

First port of call, the ladies toilets. Tiles cracked and dirty, door handle scummy feeling due to build up of filth,toilet bowl disgusting, stained and toilet seat needs fixing as loose and moved when i sat on it. I was desperate to go before i left for home but couldn't face the toilets again.
Food is bland, even the sizzling dish we ordered was tasteless and actually, luke warm, not sizzling hot at all.
I left my food, the lady on the next table had the same and left hers too.
Poor portion size especially southern fried chicken starter, 3 small pieces of chicken.
Great car park, lovely looking pub from outside but it needs a lot of tlc. Overall, scuzzy and wouldn't return.
