Amazing support
Slimming world have such supportive consultants. The plan is achievable and going to group gives you others perspectives and support. Ive made a lot of friends through slimming world and everyone is there for the same reason. Everyone is more than welcoming so don't be worried to give it a go

Slimming World is brilliant
Slimming World is brilliant! It gave me the support needed to lose weight with an excellent consultant and a great group experience and the amazing amount of info./recipies joining the online website/app. Food optimising is a fantastic plan. Its not a quick fix; its about learning your new healthly food and drink and lifestyle choices. If you join the club you can become a target lifetime member. DO IT and then remember to be kind to yourself and "stay on plan when you can".

Fantastic behavioural, lifestyle and wellness support for individuals who wish to lose weight and be comfortable in their own bodies.
I attend a weekly face to face class I have made friends when I knew nobody. Online live videos are a great addition to the service.

Love the concept
Love the concept, it’s not rocket science, just science….. can’t do it on my own that’s why I need to keep going to group and it really helps when you relate to a consultant, so I would say, go to groups until you find the right one! It really does make a difference, well to me anyway.

Vile meals
I purchased at least 10 meals from Slimming World freezers in The Food Warehouse. I know why people loose weight with these meals they're vile. They all taste the same tomato based apart from the sweet and sour. After the first forkful I had to eject the food from my mouth, awful tasting meals, total waste of money. I definitely do not recommend these meals.

This might sound dramatic!
This might sound dramatic, but Slimming World may have just saved my life. Im a group member and have lost 8stone. i am still away off target, but instead of just thinking the plan is a diet. i have spent 18months changing the way I eat, enjoying new recipes and having the tools to evaluate why I ate the way I did.
Its not easy as there are distractions along the way, but support from group, the consultants, the app all help to refocus and get you to your goal. I just wanted a healthier a mobile old age. Slimming World is getting me there!!!

I don’t like the fact that to find out…
I don’t like the fact that to find out swip values you now have to go through the app. The app is tiny and obviously only meant for a phone and not an iPad where it sits in the middle of the page looking lost. I have problems with my hands so use the keyboard on the app with difficulty. I’ve been a member for many years and pay the same money as everybody else. This feels like discrimination to me!

You’re quite right, our app is designed to work best on a mobile device and although it can be used on an iPad, it’s often not the smoothest experience.
I’m so sorry to hear that it will be harder for you to use a mobile to use some of our digital tools. The decision to move our planner and food search to our app only, wasn’t one we took lightly and I promise you that the decision wasn’t intended to discriminate against any member – please know that would never be the case.
We have a number of accessibility tips and tricks and we’d be happy to talk you through these to see if any can help.

I took out a membership through Apple…
I took out a membership through Apple and all was good at first. after a couple of months I decided that slimming world was not for me so I decided to cancel. At this point I was told that I had to go through Apple to cancel and Apple said I had to go through Slimming World. so far this has been going on for the last 3 months and they are still charging me £25.99.
I suppose they kept to their word and helped me lose some pounds, £25.99 pounds in fact x 3. Today was the same answer that I need to contact Apple, so here we go again backwards and forwards. I have spent £77.97 so far that I did not need to spend.

We're sorry to learn that you've decided Slimming World was no longer right for you and that you've experienced difficulties trying to cancel your membership. Being directed back and forth between Apple and Slimming World isn’t what we’d want to happen to any member needing help.
From what you've told us, it sounds as though your membership was purchased through Apple as an in-app subscription. While your membership is with Slimming World, subscriptions purchased this way through Apple are managed directly by Apple, which means Slimming World is unable to cancel the subscription on your behalf or stop future payments.
You can cancel your subscription on an iPhone, by following these steps:
• Open the Settings app
• Tap your name at the top of the screen
• Select Subscriptions
• Choose Slimming World from the list
• Tap Cancel Subscription (you may need to scroll down to see this option)
You've mentioned that you've already been in touch with our team here, while we're still unable to cancel an Apple-managed subscription for you, we'd be happy to help check your membership details and offer further guidance on the next steps. If you could reach out to us again, we'll take a look.

Easiest way to lose weight
Slimming World are so helpful and non-judgemental that it is easy to pick yourself up and carry on after a gain instead of feeling guilty and losing faith. The food is easy and there is nothing banned (within moderation). I have lost just over two stones at the age of almost 83 and if I can do it anyone can. Thank you Slimming World my knees and hips are so much better now.

Slimming World works.
I joined Slimming World in September 2024 as a very overweight and nervous lady, my group made me feel welcome right from the start. The consultant Rob is amazing and seems to have a sixth sense for what people need and always has time for every individual. I have made friends for life and my self confidence has gone from almost zero to actually enjoying getting dressed up to go out. If you haven't tried slimming world and want to lose some weight I would 100% encourage to give it a go, it works!

The first time I went to slimming world I was very nervous, well I didn’t need to be. There is no judgement everyone was friendly. Sylv our consultant will put you at ease as soon as you walk in. I have been a member of SW on/off for over 30yrs. Their healthy eating & activity plans are very easy to understand, follow & maintain. I feel so much healthier losing the weight & keeping it off. I also enjoy the group therapy & body magic where we share our expetiences, recipes & tips with the other members as well as having a good laugh & I have made some really nice friendships over the years. Slimming World’s live events
Slimming World has a really successful programme for losing weight. My own experience confirms it. I have lost over seven stones. What is impressive is that, in my view, my essential weekly face to face consultant led sessions, led by fabulous Kay Godwin, are supported by a treasure trove of online resources. One of the most recent additions has been live events which members can join via YouTube. These have been questions and answers sessions which pack in loads of information on a particular subject . The recent one was on fibre and gut health. It confirmed some of the things that I had already learned in my group and introduced new information as well.

I attend a group on Thursdays in Tiverton Devon. My consultant Sarah Ruffett is amazing. She is there for support in group and in between groups she is a message or phone call away.
