Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever. I ordered 2 pieces of luggage for an upcoming trip. After a week and a half my order was still processing. I reached out to customer service asking for an estimate shipping date since now we were cutting it close. I didn't hear back for another 2 days- and when I did hear back I was only told my order was still processing. They completely ignored my concern and did not provide an answer on shipping. I wrote back and asked them not to ship and to kindly cancel my order since it was well outside their shipping policy date, and the pieces would arrive after I left for my trip. I heard nothing back. Now 4 days later I have a notification that a 3rd party shipper has my luggage so I assume it will eventually ship. Now I have to inform my Concierge to refuse the shipment with the delivery driver. This has been super stressful, and if Solgaard would have actually taken the time to try to resolve the issue- like cancelling my order due to their untimely shipping while my luggage sat in the warehouse. It would have been such an easy thing to do. Instead it's been the biggest hassle. Luckily I scrambled and found great luggage elsewhere. This whole experience has been ridiculous. I will never recommend this company and their lack of attention to customer service.

Bought backpack early Mar 2025 still waiting as of Dec 24, 2025

In early March 2025 I bought an Atlantic Navy / Brushed Gold / Large Venture Backpack. Today is Dec. 24, 2025. I’ve been waiting over 9 months. When I follow up every month or two (just followed up again today) all I get in response is that it’s not back in stock yet & if I don’t want to wait pick another color. I want the color I bought to match the other Solgaard items I have. They never give an ETA, provide other info or are willing to escalate it to someone that might actually be able to help. I’ve bought many items from Solgaard as gifts (gifted a backpack & suitcase in March 2025 as well) with no problem.

I rarely leave reviews but when I do ~98% of them are 5 stars, ~2% are 1 star so takes a lot for me to leave a negative review.

Very Disappointed

Very Disappointed. Placed my order. Received notice that had shipped 4 days later. After waiting 3 more days noticed that FEDEX had no tracking.
Looked at my order and status said fulfilled.
Contacted FEDEX and they had no tracking information. Contacted Solgaard and the excuses started flowing. After 11 days still hasn't shipped and no idea when or if it will.

Finally got the product

*UPDATE
I bought a back pack and suitcase on Dec 6th. It said guaranteed delivery before Christmas. It is now the 21st of Dec and they have not sent my product and I will not get it before Christmas. Solgaard said they would try to resolve the issue by putting a flag on the order so it will be sent faster. That was on the 16th, 3 days after I was supposed to receive the order.

I FINALLY received the order the day after Christmas. Which it was unfortunate because it was a gift. Apparently they lost it at the warehouse and couldn’t find it which is why it took so long to send the order. When I finally got the order I will say the product is quality. I’m in love with the back pack and the color is beautiful. Definitely well made especially the hanging toiletry pack. A piece was missing though…. The piece that makes the whole point of this product. The Flo closet for the suit case. Again had to email the company and explain to them they had missed a piece of the shipment. They did promptly respond this time and had the order submitted for the closet next day. I got it a week later. They apologized and had said this is not the standard of customer service they aim to strive for. I upped my rating from 1 star to 3. Because of the quality of the product and if you pack it right without the compression straps you can fit way more than advertised. Otherwise I would have rated 5 stars but because I ordered the product on Dec 6th during the guaranteed delivery before Christmas period being a gift and I got the product after Christmas with a missing item and them having to send the item out I will give them 3 stars.

Customer service could have been better

Ordered a piece of luggage from Solgaard on 11/30. My card was immediately charged and after two weeks, the order was still unfulfilled. I reached out to customer service and got automated responses that my order was unfulfilled due to backend processing delays. I reached out again to express concern a couple of days later and finally received an offer to have my order re-shipped or canceled. I asked if the order could be expedited instead of canceled, and they promptly canceled my order, stating they only offered standard shipping. Very disappointing experience with this company that did so well the first time I ordered a product from them.

Complete nightmare

It’s been a complete nightmare trying to order from this company - especially for the price I paid for these suitcases! The first order I input sat at some facility in new jersey for nearly a month. I contacted them (and of course there’s no one to help if it’s over a weekend) multiple times and eventually asked them to just redo my order since the first order is clearly lost in transit. They do that. Well, this past Thursday, I receive the first order randomly that had been lost. Now I have another of the 2 suitcases coming today. I email them again today advising them to cancel the order and have FedEx return it to them. I will not be dragging that heavy box to a FedEx to return it to them and I will not be paying for the 2nd set of suitcases. I’m not even home all this weekend and, for all I know, someone could steal them off my porch by the time I get home. I’ll be putting a block on my card for any future charges from them. Absolutely do NOT recommend this company and I will not be buying from them ever again.

High-Quality Luggage & Great Customer Service

Solgaard luggage is well built, high-quality, premium, and looks great. And their lifetime warranty is great. I had an issue with the handle on my suitcase and they promptly took care of me and sent me a brand new suitcase free of charge. Highly recommend Solgaard for your luggage needs!

Amazing warranty and service

I've have a very heavy travel schedule this year. 3 round trips to Australia, 4 to Japan, 1 to South Korea, and 1 to Norway. These trips were all ranged from 2 weeks to six weeks. On my last trip of the year the Sydney, my Original Check-in closet was damaged beyond repair. The airline couldn't repair it so they offered me a replacement of a much inferior brand. I contacted Solgaard and they offered a complete replacement and no cost under their lifetime warranty. Armely was very quick to get my details and schedule the replacement. This luggage has been through hell this past year and Solgaard was there for me when those that caused the damage weren't. Quality luggage with an outstanding warranty and support is VERY hard to come by. My highest recommendations on this companies products and support.

Wonderful Product!!!

My Large, hard shell, large suitcase has made 2 trips to Vietnam! OH MY how great a piece of luggage! I brought back several fragile items and they all came back home safely! Plus the poor bag was thrown around by baggage handlers in many countries. STILL a beautiful bag only a scuff mark here and there! Plus 2 trips to New Orleans all in the last 2 years! Wonderful bag 100%plus satisfied. It will be the ONLY suitcase i wiil buy perhaps a carry on and other support items! Thank you for constructing a great product~ Mike Messmer, Sturgis, South Dakota

Poor and slow customer service

First I'd like to start off with I currently own a solgaard suitcase and I love it. Which is why I wanted to purchase a second piece. That is where things went sour. I purchased on 12/3 for an upcoming trip. I figured 2 weeks is enough time to ship a piece of luggage. Apparently I was incorrect. My shipment has been sitting for 6 days with no movement. My husband and I have reached out several times but with very slow response. Now no response at all. I still don't know what to do with my order but based on my experience recently I would not order from Solgaard again. For the price of the luggage some better customer support should be available. Obviously things happen but some type of support when things don't go as planned should be in place.

Totally fair frustration, Ashley. When you’re gearing up for a trip, waiting on a bag with no updates is the last thing you need. Solgaard usually prides itself on quick responses, so it’s disappointing to hear this fell short. Hopefully they tighten up communication and shipping times, because the product itself clearly has fans but service has to match.

Solgaard is an excellent company that makes excellent products. Their customer service is also exceptional, making the entire process easy should you have any complications with the product. The quality, durability, environmental friendliness, and lifetime warranty on the products make their products some of the best on the market.

*Uniquely* bad customer service

Can't speak to the quality of the products because the customer service was so uniquely bad i decided to cancel my order. Was ignored in the chat for 45 minutes after the customer service person answered half of my question with incorrect information and i called her on it. When she finally returned she did not apologize. When i emailed their team to report this, *they* did not even apologize. Their AI did, and told me someone would be following up about my customer service concerns, but the supposed human who replied afterwards didn't seem to care whatsoever, just blankly stated that the order had been canceled. Skip these folks. If you have any trouble or need to invoke that supposed "lifetime warranty" you'll need to deal with some of the worst customer service around.

Edited to add: Solgaard's response below is case in point. No apology, doesn't ask for details or ask me to contact them so they can actually get this feedback to those involved. And oddly speaks about Solgaard in the third person as if it was another customer. My original review was three stars, but they kept digging. That was probably their AI. I'm looking forward to seeing how a human can drop this review to one star.

Damaged Luggage

I recently had my luggage damaged during travel. After dealing with the airline and not gaining any traction, I reached out to Solgaard to see if they could offer any assistance with the issue. They were very quick to respond and without hesitation they resolved the issue. I have loved this luggage since buying it, but now I love the company values even more! I would highly recommend buying this luggage for its high quality and for the high quality company that it comes from!

Wonderful luggage and service

Wonderful luggage and service. I am very happy with my purchase and they truly do mean lifetime warranty. When my lock started acting up, they replaced the luggage for me. I will always buy solgaard because they make it easy to enjoy- the carry on closet is amazing and the service unmatched.

Warranty Replacement

My Solgaard luggage bought a couple years ago developed a large crack on the outside casing. The company immediately shipped out a replacement once I showed them the damage and provided my order number and shipping address. The warranty replacement process was seamless and effortless. Great customer service!
