Solgaard luggage is remarkable

Solgaard luggage is remarkable. The closet system is truly ingenious and it not only takes advantage of saving space inside the luggage, but also keeps things organized and being folded and compressed, helps to reduce needing to iron or press travel clothing. The luggage is built like a tank with strong locking latches compared to any zipper closures. I just returned from a six week trip to Europe, moving around weekly between many cities and countries via air travel and rail. My carryons have traveled many miles (yes, miles) over all types of rough, rugged cobblestone roads and sidewalks and show next to no signs of wear or failures. Solgaard is truly a premium product that is worth the price I paid.

Solgaard - the Gold Standard

We have purchased matching luggage sets from Solgaard for the entire family. The quality is unmatched and we have been extremely happy taking this luggage on every adventure. Beyond how cool the luggage is (think usable, rollable, sit-on-able, steamer trunk vibe), we have been most impressed by how Solgaard absolutely stands by its products. The customer service is unparalleled. Shoot them an email and it is answered almost immediately. When one of our pieces was damaged recently on a trip to Tokyo, customer service couldn’t be more helpful and accommodating. Zero hassle. A replacement is on its way. (Thank you, Kristine!!)

In an age where companies either make it absolutely impossible to reach customer service or make the experience so arduous that you dread having to deal with the company after purchase, Solgaard stands apart. Do not hesitate to purchase from this company. The product is quality and the company backs their products up without hesitation. What else really do you need? (The ability to sit on the luggage in line? Check!) Honestly, the BEST luggage ever.

Much better customer support experience…

Much better customer support experience than I initially expected. My carry-on (original model) had faulty interior parts since I first purchased this 4+ years earlier. Then, more recently, the outershell cracked horribly without much pressure. After sending in pics to show the damage, I was offered the latest model for a free replacement- exactly what I had hoped it would go. Thank you, Jay for honoring the warranty, replacing the faulty product and for providing general smooth, easy and friendly customer service. You made me give Solgaard another chance when I was sure I'd walk away from the brand forever. Thanks again for your assistance!

helpful with replacement

I received a suitcase, and after the closet insert ripped, I reached out for help on getting a replacement through the warranty. Because it was a gift, they helped me by tracking down the original purchase number and getting me the insert within a few days. It was a smooth experience.

Customer Service is Non Existent

We returned from a trip and the airline broke the wheel off the suitcase. The airline gave me a hard time about a claim. I have another trip 9 days after the last one. I contacted Solgard on Jun 2nd asking how to buy another wheel. It is 1 week later and they still have not told me how to buy a wheel. They dont answer their phone, they dont return messages, they dont respond on chat and I have sent them 5 emails and they still have not indicated how to just buy a simple wheel. Now I dont have use of my suitcase for my 17 day Europe trip. Customer service could not be worst

Latch Malfunction

I had a carry-on suitcase that I lightly used for a few trips over the course of about 2 years. Then unexpectantly, one of the latches that open the suitcase quit working. I kept telling myself that I would eventually fix it myself, and tried researching and digging into it but could not find a fix for it.

After a year or so, I decide to actually look into the Warranty and that part is indeed covered.

I submitted photos, stated what wasn't working, and withing 24 hours, I was told that I would be receiving a new suitcase. Withing 7 days, I had that new suitcase delivered.

Honorable company, amazing customer service (not AI [I believe]). Would highly recommend.

Shipping time on the website is a lie as are shipping updates

Shipping time on the website is a lie. You’ll get an email right away saying your purchase shipped. It did not. 7 days after I received that first shipped notification and still nothing actually shipped. Customer service is terrible. They don’t like to respond to emails. Trying to cancel the order doesn’t work either even though it obviously hasn’t shipped yet. Nothing but regret for doing business with this company.

UPDATE: I did finally received my purchase but it was after I purchased a suitcase from another company. I needed a suitcase for a booked trip that I left for before the Solgaard shipment arrived. So I needed to return the Solgaard suitcase. Well they are charging me for return shipping to return their product that they couldn’t ship for over a week. I’ll never purchase from Solgaard again. Hopefully this review helps others avoid the frustration that is buying from Solgaard.

Awesome Company

I had a problem with one of my luggage purchases, and their customer service was very prompt in responding, and sent me a new piece of luggage in its place. I am very pleased with Solgaard. I own 3 pieces of Solgaard luggage, and will continue to expand as I love their luggage. Great merchandise! Great company!

Terrible experience with this company

Terrible experience with this company. I have purchased luggage from them in the past and that has been fine but went to purchase a $200 backpack and what a debacle! Customer service is does not exist and when they do get back to you it’s absolutely useless. Here’s the bright side, while waiting for my order that they couldn’t locate I found a larger bag on Amazon for half the price and it’s AMAZING!! Sent the solgaard back.

Worst bang for your buck EVER

From start to finish, this luggage is trash. Do NOT waste your money or time. Pushing the suitcase through the airport, it got caught in a spot in the sidewalk, and CRACKED! Then it happened again to our second one! So bad the airline wouldn't let us check it, and we could barely push on it to close our whole 10-day trip. As soon as we get home, I email with pictures. And the only solution is a replacement. So much for a lifetime warranty! They said we are out of the return window- it took over 3 weeks to receive the luggage, then our trip, no way would I have been in the return window, no matter what I did! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Worst suitcase and company ever.

Solgaard Products & CX - Levels Above the Rest!

I absolutely love Solgaard products, and i've purchased several items over the last 5 years. My first purchase after countless hours of research was the carry-on closet. The very BEST purchase ever! It's traveled all over the EU, NewZealand, and the states! I originally bought this bag for a 16-day trip to Ireland in 2022. My travel mates were all amazed at how organized and compact my clothes were :-) The shelving (closet) was a complete life saver and kept me on point as we traveled ALL of Ireland! The girl who always over-packed seamlessly kept everything together in one carry-on closet suitcase and unpacked faster than my mates! Ha Ha!!! I also purchased 2 Endeavor Backpacks that I take everywhere when traveling! So much space and compact when you don't need it all. Fits perfectly on the carry-on and both have never met a cobblestone road they couldn't easily get across or down!
In addition to the Weekender, Check-in Closet, toiletry bag, and other items I have to say the customer service has been exceptional!
Last week I took my Medium Check-in Closet on a short flight from ATL to DAB FL only b/c I need to load up an empty suitcase w/ items stored at my sisters home. My mom had just passed and despite my Sky Priority status w/ the airline, they totally trashed my suitcase :( the hinge was mangled, and the corner horribly cracked in two places - making it unusable. They were not helpful when I reached out b/c I'd only seen the damage after arriving home...
Then I called and spoke w/ the kindest human at Solgaard (Joan) in the CX area. She received my photos, calmed my concerns on the phone, and w/in 2 days she had a replacement otw! Joan is a GEM and so kind.
I cannot say enough about the whole experience Solgaard offers!
I'm truly grateful beyond words as Solgaard stands behind their products, and works tirelessly to protect our environment!
I wouldn’t consider buying any other luggage!

You won't be disappointed!

Great Customer Service + Solid Suitcase

I was so excited to invest in this great luggage. On my second trip with my carry on the right side of my lock/opening mechanism got busted off. It was not checked, so rough handling was not really an issue. I reached out to Solgaard & was extremely happy with their service. After providing them with some videos & photos, plus, registering my suitcase's warranty, they shipped me a replacement. I really appreciate them for taking care of me like that (Armely helped me). I was really going to be sad to be out on my brand new luggage (that is not cheap) if they didn't replace it or force me to file a claim with the airline. Thanks Solgaard!
