bad design and quality

I bought their back-to-wall toilet, and the design and quality are very poor. Firstly, if you install the cistern the way it was designed, the toilet lid covers the flush buttons, and there is no way to install it higher; I confirmed this with their customer service/technical team. Secondly, the quality is poor — the flush buttons look like they were made from the cheapest plastic. Lastly, after using it, it turned out to be slightly leaking into the toilet, which again suggests bad design. Customer service said the cistern was not designed originally for these back-to-wall toilets. Waste of money and time. Stay away.

Flashy style but inferior quality.

Sonas products are all style but no quality. We fitted a very expensive Sonas gold finished tap, sink waste and towel rail in a bathroom. After less than two years the finish is wearing off. A vanity unit costing €800 fitted at the same time has already started developing a problem with the drawers and will not last much longer. The customer is paying for the fancy Sonas showroom which masks the inferior quality produce. It is not the only bathroom company.

Sonas shower tray

I have a sonas shower tray, fitted by a reputable company. It had only been in for just over a year and we noticed a small crack had appeared near the drainage outlet under the drain cover. I contacted Gavin from Sonas who arranged for a repair after being told by him their would be no visual defect. I would not let the company do the repair, as they was going to stick some trim on top of the crack. He sent the same company out again to put filler in it. This caused another problem as the cover could not lay flat over the repair. The company who fitted the show tray redid the repair but needed the colour match from Sonas who have sent a few out but never the right colour. The company has been in touch with Sonas and also their rep and are awaiting more paint. This was about eight weeks ago. I have been waiting approximately a year after reporting the crack so that is why I've rated you one star.

Customer Service Excellent

Cannot rate the customer service highly enough. Received a number of vanity units for a refurb. One was damaged while taking it out of the box on site. Enquiries made to replace the damaged panel, Carol was so helpful and replaced the whole unit within a week of me contacting them. 10 out of 10. Thank you

Excellent company with quality products…

Excellent company with quality products I bought a toilet and cloakroom unit with sink couldn't be happier. The builder had broken the cistern on install Sonas replaced no questions asked when I went back to the supplier Morris's in Waterford.

Great quality and very helpful staff

Great quality and very helpful staff in the showroom. We recently fitted two bathrooms with Sonas products, all products are exceptional quality. The staff in the showroom as extremely helpful and friendly. The only thing I would recommend to anyone is selecting your vanitiy unit colours in the showroom as the catalouge colours don't always match the actual colour. We opted for the Ocean Blue which looks kinda green in the catalouge, thankfully I was assaured in the showroom it is the blue as displayed because the green would not have fitted the tiles.

Fitted 8 various sonas displays in my bathroom showroom,all products had a fault in one way or another, paint finish,miss shaped pottery,poor finish,scuffed,but we fitted them as we had removed old products thinking that sonas would provide touch up paint, new drawer fascia etc but how wrong we where ,it’s been 5 weeks now and no response at all !!
We have no option but to change displays again
But this time we are choosing a reputable supplier
With good customer service,
Avoid sonas they don’t care !!!
It’s such a shame as products look excellent but no customer service or care

Poor sales experience

I have been trying to get prices / information for commercial stainless steel toilets.
Sent an email - no response!
Made several telephone calls. They're either not answered or the person answers and fobs you off to another department - who don't answer the phone.
Does this company actually sell anything ???

Great select and service

Great select and service, the sonas sales team helped us pick everything we needed for our new bathroom and ensuite. Even the delivery was spot on. We needed a new countertop for a vanity as it was damaged by one our trades and they helped us straight away. No fuss. Thank you to Kellie and everyone in Sonas that helped us with our order.

Bought sonas toilet rimless number of…

Bought sonas toilet rimless number of issues with it
When flushing water comes out from the toilet on the floor refilling water valve fitted to big had to replace for smaller one
Fixing screws for the cistern not matching the hole had to make the holes bigger with angle grinder and hole saw for the tile
Tried to contact technician support number of times
No answer
Wouldn’t recommend it at all

This is second toilet from sonas I bought this year and had issues with it

Bought white slate tray 800x1000…

Bought white slate tray 800x1000 firstly it’s 800x1006 but more frustrating you sent the wrong waste with the tray returned it today picked up replacement waste it’s not inch quarter or even as should be inch and half seemingly I have to buy reducer
Your concealed cistern the internals all had to be refitted as not tightened in factory also why have the water feed inlet at the top surely side or bottom would make perfect sense ? I would imagine pay for what you get but grohe and Geberit bathroom furniture is equivalent price don’t bother responding with your cut and paste response it doesn’t cut the it I’ve sent you message on instagram respond there if you feel the need

I’m sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing. I want to address each of your concerns individually:



T07 Frame Series:



The T07 frame is specifically designed with space-saving in mind.
It has a width of 350mm and offers flexibility with the water feed, which can be placed on top or at the back.
You can easily remove the plug and refit the inlet feed according to your setup.
If a side supply was necessary, We would have recommended the T06 frame instead.


Loose Fittings Concern:

We have not been made aware of any issues with fittings being loose.
Following your feedback, we conducted an inspection of our stock this morning and found no problems with the fittings.


Shower Waste:

The shower waste provided is a universal norm used throughout the industry.
It is commonly supplied with trays by the majority of our competitors across Ireland and the UK.


Tray Tolerance:

We would be happy to look into the tray's tolerance for you.
Our trays have a 5mm +/- tolerance in length and width +/- 3mm in thickness

I bought three toilets

I bought three toilets. Such a nightmare. All three won't stop running water after flush. The water keep running non stop. Tried to fix many times. It is not possible. Now I have to buy new toilets.

bad flushing toilet

last year we built on a new extension to our house and fitted a sonas toilet, now after doing a number 2 which sometimes gets deposited on the back of the toilet when flushed the water flows down outside the back of the toilet and dosent clean it, a bit like standing at the back of a waterfall and not getting wet so now for the first time in my life i have to use a brush to clean the bowl after use. we have other toilets which dont have this problem. I havent complained to anyone as I wouldnt get any satisfaction , the best plan for us is to replace it.

We spent around 10,000 Euro on Sonas…

We spent around 10,000 Euro on Sonas furniture and sanitary ware for our two renovated bathrooms. The instructions for installation were so poor and basic that you had to make it up yourself and hope for the best. Then when we contacted customer service on three separate occasions for problems with installation, the staff member fobbed us off every time with a 'tough luck' response. Customer care staff gave us several pieces of installation advice that were NOT on the instructions, after we had spent hours trying to install them. Customer service was atrocious for such a reputable company, especially after giving Sonas 10,000 Euro worth of our business. A very disappointing experience overall.

We’re sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with your experience. We always strive to provide excellent product and customer support, and our Technical Support team always endeavour to resolve any queries raised.

On reviewing your customer case, our records show that there was an issue caused in the process of installing the bath panel. We understand and appreciate that this situation was frustrating. After investigating further we concluded that our Technical Support team assisted during the process by providing instructions and spare fittings. We offered for our engineer to call out to your home to assess and provide a recommended solution, which would involve removing the bath panel. This offer of a home visit was declined.

Our bath panels are manufactured to meet EN standards, with a precision plastic moulding process that ensures minimal tolerances of ±3 mm. For optimal performance, it is crucial that installation is performed by a qualified tradesman ensure that floors and walls are level.

We appreciate your feedback and want to assure you we always strive to provide best service. If there is anything we can assist you with further please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly.

We bought all our bathroom sets from…

We bought all our bathroom sets from SONAS, we are in our home 3 years now. Our bath stopper doesn't close fully and is letting water out.
The drainage in both sinks isn't good and the stopper in one doesn't even close.
Would have expected higher standards, wouldn't recommend

Do not buy Sonas Sansa Mirror - fire hazard

Really disappointed with poor customer service from Sonas Bathrooms. I purchased an expensive large Sansa Mirror with all round LED lighting and demister. Over 3 weeks ago, the light came on itself, the LED dimmed and it could not be turned off as the switch was faulty. All the while the demister was on 24/7 and remained warm to the touch. As well as losing hundreds of euro, this was a clear safety issue which I reported to Sonas by phone and email. I had an electrician call out to disconnect for fire safety reasons. I also asked Sonas to source a replacement switch which I was happy to pay for. To date NOTHING received from Sonas other than to say it was out of warranty!! No feedback on the safety side and no reply to my request for a replacement switch. Do not buy the Sansa mirror as it is dangerous, faulty switch, over heating … and you will get zero support from Sonas. Safety should always be a priority but clearly with this supplier it is not.

I checked with our Customer Service team who advised that there are aware of your issue which you reported to us on the 19th October. They replied the same day to say we would be happy to source a spare part, even though this is out of warranty. A follow up email was sent to you on the 26th October stating that we have sourced the spare part and we are waiting for a delivery date. The team also informed you that we are happy to provide the part free of charge as a goodwill gesture.

4 months and still no seat?

4 months ago we ordered a Westbury pedestal sink and toilet through a local outlet. We are still waiting for the toilet seat. The shop we bought from was good enough to give us one to be going on with. While fitting the sink and toilet this week we fount the interaction between the pedestal and sink is awful, one of the worst our plumber (50 years in the business) has seen. The top of the pedestal is actually curved while the sink part is flat. The base of the toilet is also curved causing it to wobble badly. While fitting the cistern we found a cut open empty plastic bag which should have had the wall brackets in, they were missing. The shop who have been helpful throughout called sonas who then sent out completely the wrong part.
I will never buy from them again as they sell badly made products which are far from cheap and the customer service is appalling. I am also passing my experience on to as many as I can as I feel we have been well and truly ripped off.
