Quick Service
After my existing QNAP NAS failed on me, I needed a quick replacement. I ordered one from SPAN.COM on a Friday and it was delivered the next day.
Excellent service and the new device has 3 years warranty.

Persistence pays off!
The SPAN.COM website is awful. It's clunky, confusing and it's difficult to know if you've selected the right thing; the user experience is appalling.
However, everything else is great. I nearly gave up and purchased elsewhere, but persistence pays off. Clearly they are experts at data storage, not web design.
I bought a NAS from them with RAM upgrade and hard drives.
Firstly, they were competitively priced.
Secondly, they offer the free SpanStor service which for me included RAM installation, hard drive installation, system installation and testing. This meant it was far less likely anything would be dead on arrival and I could get up and running much quicker.
Lastly, the order arrived promptly, was well packaged and exactly as ordered.
So, in conclusion, it was worth persisting with the ordering process and I would buy from them again. With a website overhaul, focussing on user experience, they'd get 5 stars.

We are quite proud of our knowledge, services and support teams that are available to our customers and after almost 30 years in the business of data storage, it's good to know we still meet with praise on this score. Regarding design and improving the customer experience, this is an on going and constantly developing process on our site and although the design is not quite where we want it to be yet, it is getting there. The main design barrier we have is the configuration of our services being of a standard that is native to both experts in the industry and those who are complete novices to the subject. Finding a balance between semi-automated default configs and allowing the end user to configure about 30+ different variables is not an easy task to create in presentation without alienating one or both. We have experimented with buttons that ask the user to select their skill point (eg Advanced / Easy) but this did not work. So we are in the process of finding a middle ground and appreciate that this can be cluttered in contrast to the UI found in other non storage dedicated retailers. Bespoke, prompt and personal service
On the lookout for a new NAS server, I thought I'd done my research and made an order on the website. Unfortunately I found something better on their website and changed my mind soon after. Despite the hassle, the sales team kindly helped every step of the way in ensuring my new order was met and ensured that I'll be receiving it even sooner than I'd anticipated. First class service ordered the TS-453D ,ordered on the 23rd had the hdd's fitted and configured they said it would be 3 days 10am the 26th its at my door.The price for the NAS was cheaper than anywhere excellent service would definitely recommend

Extremely helpful advice and excellent service
The Span representative, Paywand, was extremely helpful and gave me a lot of advice over the phone. He also helped me to find a cost-effective solution and steered me away from expensive 'extras' that I did not need (e.g. ssd cache and additional memory). The NAS was set up ready to go and delivered a mere 2 days after the order was placed. It was very well packed indeed and worked well straight out of the box. It is unusual to find this level of service anywhere and I am very pleased to recommend this firm to anyone with an interest in buying a NAS or finding out more about the subject. Very well done!

Range of NAS and shipping are impeccable. However this is now the third NAS I'm on as the previous two didn't work with my MacOS.
I wish I had had advice on what would work with my computer hardware at the time...

Ordered a Qnap TVS-872 NAS with 8X Seagate HDD and 2 Seagate SSDs.
It was sitting on my desk in Ireland by Wednesday morning with disks fully installed and configured.
I immediately had a support query (unneccessary as the info was on the packaging slip) which was answered within minutes.
Excellent service, great price, and a smooth purchase.
