Katastrophaler Kundenservice!! Schade dass es keine 0 Sterne zu vergeben gibt!!

I've done over 10 spartan races in the past and have never had any issues. Unfortunately my group and I had a beast race on October which ended up turning into a complete disaster. Customer service is less than useless and honestly would probably be better of if there was no customer service. We had an afternoon category run scheduled for 11:30 AM. By the time we went through parking and transferred into their bus, we ended up arriving at the registration desk at 11:40 AM. We were in gear and ready to run, had no bookbags or anything to put in lockers....but were denied entrance. Apparently 11:30 AM on the dot is the deadline and last call for runners. Doesn't matter that our tickets says afternoon runners. So if you're in line waiting to sign the waivers at 11:20 but then 11:30 hits due to the big group in front of you taking a while to sign...you wont be allowed in. Customer service not only refused to give refunds to the whole group but the best they could do is tell us to transfer to the Arizona race. That's a 37 hour drive from where we live. Complete joke. Due to this incident our group of 8 will not be coming back.

Ich musste ein paar Tickets verletzungsbedingt transferieren.
Der Gutscheincode per Mail wurde aber nur für 1 von 3 Tickets generiert.
Wurden getrennt gekauft, nicht im Paket.
Wandte mich an den Support (der nach 5 Mails nach 6 Wochen mal geantwortet hat) inkl Rechnungen, Belege für die Transfergebühr etc.

Nach zahlreichen Ausreden und Mails, die Google Übersetzer oder ein 10 jähriger whs formuliert hat kam irgendwann keine Antwort und erst recht keine Gutschrift mehr.
Nie wieder bekommen die auch nur einen Cent von mir.

J'ai transféré ma place à quelqu'un pour ma course qui est dans une semaine car je me suis cassé le doigt. Il y a une procédure prévue pour ça sur le site de la Spartan race. J'avais payé 76 euros ma place 1 an avant la course dont plus de 16 euros de frais de gestion au passage. Premièrement ils me font payer 21.75€ pour transférer ma place qui était déjà très chère. Deuxièmement la personne qui récupère ma place ne l'a pas mais a seulement un avoir de 60€ et doit rajouter 99€ pour avoir un place équivalente. Troisièmement il n'y a plus de place pour que cette personne pour la course a laquelle j'étais inscrit!!!! Ils sont vraiment malhonnêtes!! Je ne m'inscrirai plus a leurs courses, ce n'est qu'une usine a fric sans aucun respect pour les gens

My son and I have done 2 previous Spartan events. we are registered for a 3rd event in October but now we can't make it. In trying to transfer our registration to a different event in March 2023, they want us to pay a transfer fee of $37 each ($74 total) just to switch events. This is in addition to the $250 we have already paid for registration, parking and all their other add-ons. On top of that, there is no one to call to work through these issues. Spartan web-site is not user friendly. It's as if it has been designed to make it hard for someone to contact them for help.

Haben uns zu siebt für Spartan Kulmbach 2020 angemeldet und knapp 700€ gezahlt... Corona-bedingt ist dies ausgefallen, aber bisher habe ich weder eine Antwort, noch einen Cent wieder erhalten. Höchst unseriös, vor allem auch weil es bei anderen Veranstaltungen (Läufe, Märsche) problemlos ging.
Neue Seite sagt mir, ich hätte keine getätigten Buchungen. Zum FAQ "Rückerstattung" heißt es nur lapidar: "Eine Rückzahlung ist unabhänging von den Gründen ausgeschlossen.
Wir bieten jedoch verschiedene transferoption des Tickets an." - noch unseriöser geht es nicht. Evtl. muss ich mich jetzt von einem Anwalt beraten lassen.
Übrigens: Maxfun finde ich nicht viel seriöser; ich kann zwar meine Buchungsbestätigung sehen, aber es gibt nirgends eine Möglichkeit, eine E-Mail dorthin zu schreiben oder die Firma telefonisch erreichen. Abzocke hoch zehn!

There should be a zero-star review option. I successfully was able to submit a transfer of tickets, having to pay $75 as a fee. Oddly enough, the tickets were never transferred, and Spartan customer service was not able to find anything under the transfer information I had provided/received codes and information on. Also - why would a race vendor, especially a company this large, offer a race for children, but not provide some sort of care service while the parents/guardians are competing in their race? I would have gladly paid to have my children (registered for the race and underage) participate in a supervised kid zone or something similar to, while I compete in the adult race. Spartan is an absolute joke and I would never recommend anyone to participate in an event they're connected to.

If I could rate 0 stars I would, complete greed. Don't even bother with them. Consumer rights go out the window. I really enjoyed the first race I did but unfortunately will never do another. Scum.

My husband and I have ran many Spartan races over the years and invited many friends to join us. In 2019 we purchased tickets for a race but due to unforeseen circumstances were unable to attend. They agreed to allow us to transfer to another race with a $20p.p transfer fee. The transfer had an expiry of 1 year.

Due to COVID there were no races to transfer to. We emailed them recently in an attempt to transfer our race, also offering to pay the difference in inflation. However they refused to extend the expiry date despite there being no races during COVID and saying it "wouldn't be fair" on others they scammed money out of.

Their argument was that gift cards have expiration dates. They failed to acknowledge the countless business, especially small businesses that extended their gift vouchers/cards policy throughout the pandemic ensuring consumers were not paying for nothing!

It's a huge shame and it doesn't seem I'm alone in my experience reading the rest of the reviews.

We will no longer be participating in any Spartan events due to this experience.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Stay far away from Spartan Race if at all possible. This organization does not care about human interactions or the quality of its customer experience. They take forever to respond, and despite having a customer service team, they are extremely robotic.

One star, because -100 is not possible. We ordered a cap and waterbottle but did not recieve a confirmation e-mail. The money was transferred via iDeal. After contacting customer service they cannot see an order and they will not perform a check or confirm if they received your money. Even after sending printscreens of our transfer. €60,- lost, Spartan, never again.

Kann mich den anderen Kommentaren nur anschließen. Seit 2020 liegen knapp 2000 Euro bei Spartan Race, da eine Rückzahlung aufgrund von Corona ja nicht möglich ist. Alles okay, das kann man ja noch nachvollziehen. Aber dann ünterstützt man den Verein, wartet zwei Jahre auf eine Gegenleistung für das Geld und bekommt dann nicht mal eine Antwort. Wir würden ja sogar noch gerne am Race teilnehmen. Die Codes, die wir erworben haben sind für 2022 ja auch noch gültig. Leider funktionieren diese aber nicht mehr. Ich habe nun bereits acht Mails geschickt und warte nun schon wieder seit zwei Monaten auf eine Erneuerung der Codes...

Spartan has built in EXTENSIVE measures to steal from their customers.

1. They only offer you $50 and $100 gift card options, but if you purchase an $84 ticket plus a $12 race tab plus $40 in insurance and fees, they forfeit the remaining $16 of your gift card and refuse to refund it after contacting them.

During covid, obviously our race got cancelled but they refused to refund. Instead, they offered a code to sign up for a new race that expires within one years time.

Then, a year later, that race is also cancelled and moved, without consent or refund choice, to a day I could not attend and I lost out on 2 tickets, plus fees.

Then, a year later, my husband broke his hand and we had to transfer his ticket to a friend. My husband paid this ticket and fees full out, but then had to pay $15 to transfer to a friend. That is acceptable, but then my friend was forced to pay an ADDITIONAL $50 in fees (that my husband already paid) for "insurance" and "parking".

Spartan is a scam, they are thieves, and they should be sued.

Disgusting! They are very happy to take your money, cancel races, collect interest on the money, and collect job keeper, but won't give credits or refunds. When you can race the atmosphere and races are pretty poor. Not worth it, never again.

HORRIBLE. They take your $400 then move the race three hours further for no reason and won't refund the money. Then claim it's for the health and safety of participants. BS- they are a scam and ripoff.
Reached out to a lawyer today- I don't care how much it cost, these sketchy people are getting put on blast.

They don't offer an effective way to communicate and they don't offer refund for the bad service

Ich warte mittlerweile seit über 4 Monaten auf mein Geld. Habe eine Rückerstattung angefordert weil ich den Ersatztermin aus beruflichen Gründen nicht wahrnehmen konnte. Erst bekommt man gar keine Antwort, nach mehrfacher Rückfrage (an E-Mail Adressen die man erst über den Zahlungsdienstleister recherchieren muss) heißt es dann sie brauchen die Bankverbindung. Haben sie bekommen, wieder keine Antwort. Nach der nächsten Anfrage heißt es dann ich soll einen Brief nach Liechtenstein (!) schicken. Hab ich gemacht. Keine Antwort.

No devuelven el dinero de ninguna manera. Por covid, te avisan el día anterior a la carrera de que la anulan, habiendo comprado vuelos, alojamiento y coche de alquiler. Ni aunque hagas de voluntario y estés todo el día trabajando para ellos, te hacen la devolución de una carrera si la has pagado. La web es horrible. Es la peor de las OCR que he hecho.

Auf meine erste Mail hin kam nichts, gar nichts. Dann zwei Weitere, die mir einen Code zugeschickt hatten, der nicht funktionierte. Mehrmalige Nachfrage eine Fehlanzeige, keine Rückmeldung, keine Bestätigung des Eingangs.
Für solch ein Format eine miserable Abwicklung Geldschneiderei und Kundenservice absolut nicht passend zur Außenwirkung.

Hørte aldrig noget efter flere lovninger på, at de ville rykke vores startnummer til et nyt år. Totalt uprofessionelt og utroværdigt.
