I only have positive words to say about my communication with Specialized and their Rider Care staff (Andrew Moore in particular). They have always been super helpful, responded quickly and provided good advice. Most lately they have helped with the warranty of a Freehub after the retailer had been unhelpful. Legends.
Excellent Customer Service
I had a warranty issue with a 15 year old S-Works frame and fork (which came with a lifetime warranty). I didn't deal with a branch but with their head office at Chessington, where Mark D, a Rider Care Supervisor, was uncommonly helpful. Despite the fact that technology has moved on from rim brakes etc, and despite the supply issues caused by Covid, he was able to replace my frame with a beautiful, new equivalent replacement that would accommodate my rim brakes and wheels. First class customer service!

Bought a new frame from them last year…
Bought a new frame from them last year and a few other parts.The customer service is "First Class" very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. I've built a few bikes in the past and usually don't run into any issues but this latest project should of been easier as the Aethos is a really good bike with parts you should be able to get from any reputable bike shop. I used parts from an old bike and after the build I was extremely happy with it, but after building it, found issues with the Di2 battery draining away very slowly. This puzzled me and I followed all the reccommendations disconnecting individual components but still no luck, after a while I called the Specalized store in Ruilsip and with their help eventually figured out the issue.
I can only highly recommend these guys, n to just a local bike shop, but they provide amazing advice. Definitely worth paying that extra buck as you get that additional support just a telephone/email away.
If your after a new bike/frame or just parts shop with these guys. The after sales support is the best and if they don't have the product available I'm sure they will eventually get in stock for you.
Beware Specialized promises!
I bought a Sirrus X 2.0 from the Specializedconcept store Website paying £630. The first time I rode it the chain kept slipping and coming off. The gear changes were clunky, making loud noises and causing me to loose balance. I contacted my local Specializes store and was told that each store is a separate company and that they could not help. After contacting Specialized Chelmsford I was told it just needs adjustment and promised to reimburse the cost at a local store.
I took the bike to my local Halfords who told me the chain was the wrong speed/size, and the problem continued. Chelmsford told me to take it to another Bike store so I took it to Specialize Birmingham which involved a 18 mile round trip. They charged me £30 for a gear service. They still have not reimbursed my £30 as promised and ignore my email. After 2 months I can now ride the bike but the chain has come off once again. I have paid by credit card and have disputed payment. I will take the matter to the small claims court unless they immediately reimburse the £30 which they promised to pay. The website claims a full refund if you are not entirely satisfied within 30 days, its a lie I was refused point blank. I will post their website if it is denied.
Excellent service
Excellent service , just had to have my bike firmware updated due to a fault when I tried to update via the mission control app. Very helpful staff on the phone and in the Chester store. Wont hesitate to return for any other issues the bike might Chuck at me(hopefully none lol) bike in question is a turbo levo comp the 2020. Thanks 🙏
Let down beyond belief by the Chester store......
This is the first time I’ve written a review but Ive had not just a bad experience from the Chester store but an upsetting one also so I want to warn others. I am not the sort of person to bad mouth a business and fully appreciate that mistakes happen but this goes far beyond that.
I ordered and paid in full for a bike for my Son at the start of October trying to get organised for Christmas. I was told the bike would be in store by the 4th December.
On the 8th December I called to see if the bike was in and I was told the order was not coming in until the 26th December. As you can imagine I was mortified and upset by the thought of my little boy not having his Christmas present and questioned (in tears I’ll admit!) how
1. Why had the shop taken my order if there was a possibility it wouldn’t be in in time for Christmas.
2. Why had no-one contacted me to inform me that it would not be coming in as they told me they were aware in mid November.
I was then passed to a manager who’s attitude was unbelievable, he was rude and unapologetic. I asked for a refund, to which he then said ‘no you can’t have a refund as you have not paid for the bike’ luckily I had the order form and receipt in front of me, but it was clear he didn’t believe me. This had made me doubt that they ever even processed the order of they had no record of my payment.
Needless to say I sent him images of the above and got my refund.
However, I am now left 2 weeks before Christmas and unable to get hold of a bike for my 9 year old from anywhere. Absolutely heartbroken and the staff’s attitude and disregard to the situation shocked me beyond belief. I will not be returning to this store and would discourage anyone from ordering anything from this shop.
A hopeless experience…chester store
A hopeless experience dealing with the Chester store.
Waited weeks for my delivery due to items being out of stock yet showing as in stock on the website. Idiotic or what?!
The communication was appallingly bad too. Specialized need to address this operation as it's not what you expect from the brand. Will not use again and certainly wouldn't recommend.

Ordered my bike online, spoke to Jon & Danny at the Birmingham Branch over the phone they explained the process, changed the date of delivery for me so I can attend my training lesson with my new bike, emailed to check my delivery was still on time to be told it was actually already been dispatched, and I will will receive it today 2 days early very impressed with the team. Fantastic brand from the US but the UK operation have really dropped the ball in 2020. I hope they can get their act together but for me I'm out and using others businesses now after too many issues.
Really pleased
The team at Bristol managed to secure me a bike and I'm over the moon with it. Having checked around all the retailers in South Wales it was the Bristol Concept Store who managed to get me a new Tarmac, I could see stock on the website and followed up with a call. They sent one up from their Plymouth store and I'm over the moon with it. No effort was too much, despite how busy they obviously were. Will not hesitate to use again
Shocking order management
Ordered a bike for collection - money taken in full, no actual order confirmation received.
Called the store I was due to collect from (Ruislip) times over an hour period without response.
Emailed the store - no response.
Visited the store was served by a very rude team member who took my details and simply stated.
"There is a problem, that bike has been sold to someone else". Note the lack of "sorry".
I asked when "24 hours ago - before you, you can't have it.
I enquired as to why I've not been informed via email or a phone call "We haven't got time to do that".
I then ask why was an item that is out of stock still on sale, the answer was"it's a glitch, do you know what that means".
At this point I asked ofr a manger, the team member started to squeal he's not here and then stated: "I've cancelled your order".I asked If I requested this to which he stated, your aggressive, get out".
The bike is still shown as available on the website.....
Epic levels of poor service - and a team who hide behind poor service by stating someone is aggressive to "resolve/get them out of handling complaints is pathetic.
Asking why a situation has arisen isn't aggressive - it should be expected.
No apology, no bike - not buying from this site or Specialized again.

This review has nothing to do with the brand Specialized this is only for Specialized concept store West Ruislip. Today I visited and wanted to buy a helmet. The sale person was unwilling to help and did not want me to try a helmet on and he kept on telling me the prices and asking if I’m going to buy. The shop looked horrible, there was a ton of mess and no organization, no one could go in and there was a tape like from a crime scene 😂
It looks like the fish market. It was my favorite shop overall for bikes and clothes, it's where I even purchased my bike plus all the clothes and accessories for it. The internet stock is close to zero and if you find something in stock then, that is pretty rare. In different Countries, there is much more in stock and new actual collection. It's not like the way I used to like it, the communication is terrible and everything overpriced.
Looking to purchase a 2021 LEVO
Looking to purchase a 2021 LEVO, called in at my local shop , not expecting any until early 21.
Eventually found availability on Specialized concept store .( Sounds impressive ) Read through Their COVID details , mentions 1:1 ratio, 2 m distance masks and hand sanitizer.
On arrival ( Nottingham) entered shop with mask in hand ,unfortunately didn’t get it on fast enough before I was disciplined. I was then asked by one of three guys stood should to shoulder and not wearing masks what I wanted, from his unwelcoming body language it was obvious I was in the wrong shop.i asked if I could have a look round first. I was told browsing is not allowed . No attempt was made to elaborate,Shop appeared to be empty. If you intend to spend over £7000 I expect a little bit more flexibility. Tesco and Morrison’s etc can do it .

Allez Elite - great!
Ordered an Allez Elite online for delivery from Newbury Specialized Concept Store. Placed order on a Monday and bike was delivered on following Saturday. Bike was well packed and quick to assemble (just fit bars and front wheel). Bike is great. Only quirk is order status on website never progressed from 'processing' - it still says that now - but otherwise perfect experience.
Refused to honour price promise
Ruislip store refused to honour their own Price Promise, even though it is written in their T&C on the website. When asked what the reason was, they said that they would be able to sell the bike to someone else at full price...! I purchase elsewhere for less money. Avoid, and shop around - other people offer better service and the same products for less cost.
SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE CHESTER STORE
My wife took her specialized sirrus into the Chester store to have a crank recall done, whilst the bike was in there she also asked if they could tighten the riv nuts ( the frame nuts where the water bottle cage screws into) as they have been loose since she bought the bike and couldn’t attach a water bottle cage.
So my wife left the bike with them for an hour and went back to be told it’s not ready which is fair enough, only to be told when they brought the bike out “we don’t have time to tighten your riv nuts” (5 minute Job if you have the correct to which they do!!)
When my wife returned from Chester I took the bike out of the car to discover they had completely destroyed the crank Screw cap, I phoned the store up and was asked to email a picture so they could sort this out, which I did.
A couple of days later I received an email from the store manager informing me that he personally did the job on my wife’s bike and that it didn’t leave the store like the picture in the image that I sent, so implying that I’m a liar and for some strange reason I had done this myself??? they did say that they would replace it though.
Just come clean and admit what you’ve done and agree to replace it there is no shame in making a mistake but to blame the customer BIG MISTAKE Would I take my bike to them again or buy a bike from them again NO CHANCE WOULD I RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE NO CHANCE!!!!
