⚠️ ⚠️ j'ai réservé un vol aller-retour Bangkok/Delhi avec Spicejet pour le 8 juin, retour 6 juillet. Celui du 8 juin a été annulé, j'ai reporté au 11 juin qui a aussi été annulé et comme il fallait s'y attendre celui du 6 juillet a aussi été annulé. J'ai du reprendre un billet avec une autre Cie. Je me suis rendue au bureau de Spicejet à l'aéroport de Delhi. L'employé en poste à ce moment là m'a affirmé que les vols seront remboursés dans les 5 jours à Booking par lequel je suis malheureusement passée pour ma réservation. Bien sûr booking de son côté me dit qu'il n'a rien reçu. Le principe de la balle de ping-pong.
Je mets en garde les personnes qui vont réserver un vol avec Spicejet, de passage à l'aéroport de Delhi j'ai par curiosité regardé le tableau des vols de Spicejet, la seule Cie qui avait tous ses vols annulés.. vraiment curieux qu'elle continue de planifier des vols, encaisser les paiements et ensuite annuler les vols. I would like to share my recent travel experience with SpiceJet, which, unfortunately, was extremely disappointing and stressful. The trip was originally planned for just five days, but the issues we encountered severely disrupted our schedule and peace of mind.
First Issue – Baggage Delay
Upon arrival, we discovered that our luggage had not arrived on the same flight, despite receiving confirmation that it had been loaded. After waiting for over an hour at the baggage claim area, we were informed of the issue.
The third-party ground staff representing SpiceJet were unhelpful and poorly trained, refusing to answer any of our queries. The SpiceJet in-charge at the airport was nowhere to be found. We were assured that the baggage would be delivered on a priority basis by the next day before noon. However, despite repeated calls, no one answered until late evening, when someone finally informed us that delivery would be postponed to the following day—even though our location was just 20 minutes from the airport.
Second Issue – Damaged and Missing Items
The baggage was eventually delivered two days later. Upon inspection, we found that the zip lock had been completely damaged. The bags had clearly been opened, and several items—valued at approximately INR 20,000—were missing. This was witnessed and acknowledged by the delivery personnel, who signed a written note confirming the condition of the baggage at the time of delivery.
Third Issue – Poor Customer Support and Inadequate Compensation
Despite submitting a complaint through the official SpiceJet online platform, we received no immediate response and found no way to reach a customer support representative by phone.
After multiple follow-ups, we were offered a mere INR 500/- as compensation—an amount that doesn't come close to covering even the cost of the bag (AED 99, purchased via Amazon AE), let alone the stolen contents. This response feels dismissive and inadequate given the seriousness of the issue.
Conclusion and Recommendations
Avoid using such airlines where customer service, security, and accountability are grossly lacking.
Always wrap your luggage with protective film to prevent tampering and to detect unauthorized access.
Verify that your luggage is loaded onto the same flight before boarding.
In case your luggage is delayed, it's safer to collect it yourself from the airport, as handing over delivery to third-party contractors increases the risk of theft.
This experience caused significant stress and disruption to what was meant to be a short, peaceful trip.
Thank you, SpiceJet, for the memorable lesson on how not to treat passengers. We sincerely hope the airline takes such feedback seriously to prevent similar experiences for future travelers.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with SpiceJet—this is the second time I’ve faced major issues with their flight schedule.
Today, my flight was originally scheduled for 4:00 PM, but it was delayed to 12:00 AM and then delayed again to 6:00 AM the next morning. This is not just a delay—it’s an entire day wasted at the airport with no proper communication or support from the staff.
There was no clear explanation, no proper assistance, and no concern for passengers' time and well-being. This level of mismanagement is completely unacceptable for any airline, especially when passengers have commitments, connecting travel, or family waiting.
This is not the first time I've had such a disappointing experience with SpiceJet. It seems to be a recurring issue with their service and reliability.
I hope the airline seriously looks into improving their operations and customer service. Passengers deserve better

I will never, ever fly SpiceJet again. From start to finish this was the absolute worst travel experience I've endured:
• Extortion at the Counter
Despite the long-standing industry norm of "7 kg cabin bag + laptop bag," SpiceJet's check-in staff-led by the insufferable Mr. Jubi, Nimesh, and Sriram-demanded a humiliating ₹2,600 just for daring to bring my laptop bag onboard. They refused to issue my boarding pass until I paid, accusing me of "breaking the rules" with a straight face. Their tone was rude, condescending, and entirely unforgivable.
• Runway Torture
After finally getting through check-in, we were herded out onto the tarmac and left standing under the blazing Calicut night sky for 30 agonizing minutes waiting for a bus to take us to our plane. No explanation. No apology. Just endless standing and sweating.
• Sweatbox Onboard
Even 30 minutes after take-off, the air-conditioning still hadn't kicked in. Passengers resorted to using the in-flight magazine as makeshift fans while the cabin temperature climbed toward sauna levels. It felt like a punishment, not a flight.
• Thirst and Filth
When we asked for water or tissues, crew members ignored us or snapped, "We're busy." Multiple requests went unanswered. Thirsty, sticky, and utterly disregarded -this was customer "care" in SpiceJet world

I've flown Spicejet several times on regional flights in India over the past few years, and have often felt that basic hygiene and general cleanliness of the aircraft was lacking. My flight today is better characterized as a horror show. The lone bathroom on a flight of 100 or so people smelled of sewer, and worse yet, the water faucet was labeled "INOP." No water, no sanitizer, no towel. Truly a bacteria disaster in the making! Remarkable arrogance to even allow this aircraft to stay in service!

They charges extra even for 100 gram!! If we lighten the baggage they will take all the efforts to make flight delay, same happened in my case. Ground staff kept on scarring me saying that flight boarded time is closed. My flight time was 9;15 am and i was there at 7:50 am already. Top of that the staff was taking very rudely, kept me on Waiting and was continuously busy on phone call. When I requested to do checking formalities he told me very rudely"your flight closing time is over" he said you could have paid extra instead of handing over little extra weight to family (my family was outside so I handed over)

I had the worst experience with SpiceJet, primarily due to the rude and completely unacceptable behaviour of a staff member named Rahim Pasha at Hyderabad Airport in August this year . On my recent journey, I faced a situation where I was denied boarding without any valid reason, despite already clearing the initial steps.
Here’s what happened:
Purchased Extra Allowance: I had paid for the extra baggage allowance, yet it was completely disregarded by the SpiceJet staff. At check-in, I was told to proceed, only to be stopped at the gate by Rahim Pasha, who denied me boarding for no justified reason.
Unacceptable and Unprofessional Conduct: Not only was I stopped, but Rahim Pasha allowed another passenger to board literally just seconds before me. When I asked for an explanation, he was dismissive and clearly out to make my experience miserable. The inconsistency in the treatment of passengers was glaringly evident.
Not a No-Show: I was not a no-show, despite what their records conveniently claim. I was physically present and was stopped at the gate after SpiceJet themselves cleared me to move forward. I urge the management to check the records to see the exact time when the last passenger was allowed to board—right before I reached.
Misleading Responses: The response I received from SpiceJet's customer service was infuriating, as they chose to twist the narrative and portray the situation as if I was at fault. They ignored the key facts of what transpired and conveniently suggested that I was late or somehow responsible for missing the flight. It is evident they are trying to dodge accountability by blaming the passenger.
Failure to Refund: Adding insult to injury, I was only offered a refund of statutory taxes, ignoring the extra baggage charges I had paid for and the fact that I was unjustly denied boarding.
This incident was not just about the inconvenience—it was about disrespect, humiliation, and poor customer treatment. I am still left without a proper resolution, and SpiceJet's lack of accountability is beyond disappointing.
I will never fly with SpiceJet again, and I recommend others think twice before booking with them if they value their time, money, and dignity.

I ve Booked a flight to go Mumbai on 28 th september they delayed for more than 2 hours they ollected all the baggages in the check in counter where i asked the person she told me its ok for me to carry my baggage which had laptop and other personal things which was 8.5 KG s Note: i didnt leave any luggage for check in every person is allowed to carry 2 bags 7 Kg + 15 KG i just carried 8.5 KG still i asked is it ok they told that s fine but at the boarding point a person stopped me and demanded approximately 2k extra amount for carrying that luggage knowing people s urgency whom these airlines are trying to scam if its not ok why the person at check in counter told me thats fine ???? they promised me for full refund and its been more thn 20 days and they are asking me to ask to make my trip now make my trip has no support mail no assistance nobody picks up the calls at airline service what a big scam ?
Pathetic and un emotional people
My senior citizen parents were supposed to fly from Bhavnagar to pune on 8 th at 6 15 pm and reaching home by 8 pm
Mid day they received a msg that flight was delayed by 2 hours ,they had already left for airport so went there and waited . Later they sent a msg that flight was delayed by more 2 hours and now would depart at 10 pm.
At 10 pm they were just waiting at the airport with no msg from the authorities.
At 10 40 authorities mention that flight is cancelled
And can give next days evening 6 15 flight now . ( Which was also cancelled next day )
No other help from their side
We booked car ,went to ahemdabad and took flight from ahemdabad to pune at a surcharge due to last moment booking.
Upon complaining continuously to different authorities the only refunded the ticket price which I still have not received ,no compensation for surcharge, mental harrasment of senior citizen and no responsibility taken.

Avoid this airline otherwise it will just give you grief - they never fly on time and give all sorts of reasons as to why which are never the truth. They are supposed to provide refreshments after a certain amount of time if the flight is late and never do!
We purchased the SpiceMax option which was supposed to give us extra benefits both before and on board. We got NONE of them and they made a series of excuses and refused to give us our money back.
Seriously, this airline just cons people out of money and their customer services does nothing. Same as the Indian government, they stand by and let them do it time and time again.

This is a truly amateurish airline, they cancelled our flight from Kandala to Delhi with no notification.We then had to drive at great expense to Ahmedabad so we could get a flight to make Delhi in time for our international flight back to UK. They have refused to to give a refund or take any responsibility for failure to notify us of cancellation.

CAUTION - The extra check-in luggage option is a real scam. It allows you to check an other luggage but no extra weight. You will still be able to carry 15 kg per person only. That of course was mentioned nowhere in the website. Every extra kg will cost you about 600 rps.
Not only did we purchased a totally useless option but add to pay again for the extra kg. We really felt tricked.

It does not believe in giving boarding passes online either.
A customer could keep doing web check in without receiving the boarding pass or an email confirming the same.
The customer service only sends automated emails. Whoever you email to, the response is an immediate auto response email.
And the icing on the cake is that , their flights , a day before, get delayed and the reason cited is "operatonal"
and one could keep guessing what that possibly means.
And this experience is even before a customer has taken the flight!

SpiceJet is an absolute nightmare! They delay flights indefinitely by using just one aircraft for multiple destinations, so you'll be stuck at the airport for hours, if not days. Their customer service is non-existent, and to make matters worse, I found insects inside the plane. Yes, INSECTS!
To add insult to injury, they throw in random layovers without any prior notice and even cancel flights without refunding a single penny. This airline is a disgrace and should be shut down. Save yourself the trouble and never book with SpiceJet. You'll regret it if you do!
They cancelled my flight and they still haven't refunded my money or given me another ticket.
On July 16th I bought a ticket with the company to Thailand the next day they sent me An email saying that my flight had been cancelled and that I could reschedule it but there are no tickets available to change it. I ask to cancel it and make a refund and I don't receive any kind of response. They don't respond to email, chat, WhatsApp or any other platform. I have to travel on August 30 and I still haven't received any kind of solution.

My bag went missing on flight from Dubai to Delhi. Despite calling and emailing everyday they could not tell me where my bag was.
When got to Delhi airport 10 days later to fly back it turned out the bag had just been sitting there in the airport for 10 days.
How can there be zero communication like this? Obviously no one who works here cares.
On my flight there must have been at least 20 people without baggage on the other end.
I've read lots of reviews about the terrible customer service but most of my interactions with staff they all seemed to be fairly nice.
After a while of interacting with them more and more I came to realize that actaully they were all just laughing at the misfortune of their customers.
This airline is so bad that the staff seem to get joy out messing up people's plans and providing a terrible product and service.
I can only conclude having seen the process, that customer support just don't bother doing anything. The baggage people all have phones and all use what'sapp and yet the customer service of this airline cannot contact them?
The level of incompetence is not really believable so I can only assume they do it one purpose for their own twisted enjoyment.
Both my flights were delayed also one by 3 hours and one by 1 hour. Having read other reviews I think was lucky.
If you take this airline and run into some kind of issue. The following is required.
You have to speak to someone in person at the airport. Phone calls and emails are a waste of time.
Be prepared for the the staff to simply laugh at you if you are trying to solve a problem caused by them.
If somehow you really have to fly on this airline do not under any circumstances check in luggage.
Beware of add on fees when buying extras
I booked 4 flights with spicejet and received an email offering added extras that totalled up at around £10 per passenger. When my card was debited the amount levied per person was around £47 each. This is because there I a plethora of add on fees and taxes which weren't apparent in their promotional email. I contacted them but they refused to refund me any monies. When we checked in at their flight desk I asked for an explanation for their charges. At least 2 people simply ignored me and the one who deigned to speak to me was unable to explain the add on costs. He advised me to email the company, which i had done many times prior to travelling. Or, phone them. I declined this option in view of likely call charge and inlikelihood of getting a satisfactory explanation and/or refund. I will never use spicejet again.
