My dishwasher of 3 years old stopped working after a failed attempt at fixing it myself. The spin doctor replied to check a trade, and it was an easy booking process. (would be 1 star if it wasnt easy to book)

The engineer fixed something, and it worked for a week or so, then stopped again. A second engineer spotted a blockage that the first engineer missed, so they removed it and left without testing it worked fully. It failed on the first attempt of a wash, so they called Spin Doctor to send somone else.
They told me the machine could not be fixed and needed a new machine... at no point before was I told it could not be fixed. I still dont think it was true, or the engineer would have said this on the day.

As neither engineer did a satisfactory job, I asked for somone senior to do a full check, but was told the money I paid only covered 2 callouts, and would not come back... Neither engineer did a satisfactory job, so I feel like they took my money and didn't care about fixing the machine at all. I was threatened by their legal team taking action (pretty sure they dont have one) and am very disappointed by their service. I'll never use them again, I'd warn anyone looking to use them to consider my experience.

This companies serviceman checked our washing machine that had an error showing for a clogged up filter and so machine parts needed to be cleaned of debris. After he was done the circuitry was suddenly damaged and motherboard needed to be replaced. His report stated a new machine should be ordered through this company as replacement would be to costly. It didn't sound right to me and the machine is almost new and worth around £800. I reached out to another service provider and they quoted me new parts and replacement for less than half the cost of a new machine. I will never rely on Spindoctoruk for a service of any kind again. There are plenty of other reliable options around.

Requested an early visit, was told they could only give me a time span of 8-12 but would make a note. Never showed up, never let me know of any update, had to call them after 12 to ask and was informed that it would be a further 45min to an hour. Did arrange a full refund.

Absolutely brilliant fantastic customer service from start to finish there skilled engineers take the time to explain how my machine works and offer good advice

I called Spin Doctor and spoke to Cheryl who was extremely helpful and booked me a same day appointment for the team to visit my mum whose washing machine had started to leak. Rob arrived as promised and after checking the washing machine advised that as it's 20 plus years old, it could be repaired but really wasn't worth repairing. Mum called me to confirm his advice and after speaking to Rob myself we agreed to replace the washing machine. We could have paid for a repair on this old machine but for total peace of mind for my mum I'm impressed that he didn't just repair it and charge us a small fortune when the money can instead go towards a new machine (and as my mum is a mature lady, he clearly didn't take advantage of her here, which it to be applauded). Thank you Team for your excellent and speedy service and will highly recommend you !

We have used spin doctors 3 times and have always had a great service. We had a cooker repair, a dishwasher repair and recently we ordered a new dishwasher from them which they supplied and fitted within a couple of days of ordering.
The engineer that fitted it was great.

I called to book a repair, they came out the same day and fixed my washing machine. Such easy booking experience and super fast service, will defiantly use again , i will be recommending spindoctor to all my family and friends

Really wish I had seen these reviews before booking spin doctor. It was all going so well until I was told prior to the engineer visit that the company do not replace washing machine bearings and if that turns out to be the problem the call out charge will be refunded. This advice was not true & dishonest to secure a call out charge that clearly had no intention of being refunded. Really disappointed

An engineer turned up this morning we had to pay nearly 90 pounds in advance! He was here 5 minutes he didn't pull the machine out, he just opened the door and told us it would be 370 pounds to repair, he had a negative attitude and didn't seem interested at all, total waste of nearly 90 pounds felt like we had been scammed! Would not recommend these people at all and would urge people not to use them, how they have 4 stars is beyond me! Scammed!

It’s a long and thorough review because it’s only fair to SpinDoctor and other customers that I provide all the info I can.

Original call-out was to see why oven was slow to heat up, engineer pulled the oven away from the wall, replaced a broken element and pushed the oven back. That evening, the first time we used the oven the inner glass panel shattered after half an hour of it being on.

I arranged a new job with them to replace the glass panel. I was told that if they order the part it would be 4-6 weeks, the lady on the phone encouraged me to source the part myself as it would be quicker (??). I found two possible panels, it took a week of me phoning Spindoctor trying to find out which I should order, kept being told “let me talk to the director/manager and get back to you”.
I was also sending them messages to a mobile phone number that was supplied, no answer to any of those messages.

Eventually a lady on the phone said they will order the panel for me, it will cost £199 including the repair, but I need to let them know quickly so that they can order it that day, it will arrive in 2-4 working days…I said yes and paid in full.

Same engineer came out but it was the wrong panel so they ordered a second panel, same engineer turned up, still a wrong panel.
Lady on the phone called me to firmly tell me they won’t order any more panels and I need to go directly to Smeg to find out which panel they need and that they’ll refund me for the original incorrect panel.

I phoned back and asked for a full refund for the panel and repair that hadn’t happened yet as Spindoctor had now had a full payment since the 5th of December and it was now the 16th of December and no repair was in sight. We had every intention of paying for the repair again once we had the correct panel.

I was told by a different lady that they will only refund for the panel but not for the repair that hadn’t happened yet as they’ve already sent two callouts to us, and ordered two glass panels that they apparently can’t return.
It makes no sense to me that they order from places with no return policy, any oven parts places I’d looked at did accept returns.

We now have no oven over Christmas, no working oven since the very first repair job late Nov/early Dec, and in my opinion the glass panel likely wouldn’t have smashed if we hadn’t had anyone come out in the first place. We made it clear we didn’t blame them for the panel smashing, but it’s a fact that it happened the day the oven got pulled around and pushed back in place.

I don’t appreciate what can only be described as an argument on the phone with one of the ladies when asking for a refund as there had still been no repair. She was apparently very sympathetic and agreed it’s not fair, but also clearly annoyed and frustrated with me being so unhappy with them. She said she had asked the manager if they can refund us in full and that they had apparently got mad at her. I asked to speak to the manager but she refused and told me there was no point!

The lady on the phone said when we paid for the repair we’d have been told terms and condition about no guarantees, as far as I recall this did not happen, it was a rushed phone call where we were told to make a decision quickly so they had time to order the part that day!

This is no way to run a business if you want to have happy customers who will return and recommend you to others, customers shouldn’t have to eat the cost for your inability to order correct parts.

We were first time customers who are now £100 out of pocket for a repair that didn’t happen.

I would not trust these 5* reviews. I had experienced an amazing customer service from Spin Doctor.
Why do you need to pay total amount upfront.? Should not be half price before and remaining amount after the service is done? Engineer did not find a place to park his car and they still charged half :D. I informed customer service that it might be the issue with parking before. They say 'it is not problem'. It turned out it was and they still charged me half. Refunding the other half I was told as nice gesture because I was not even entitled to be refunded even half! Seriously charging total amount for service which was not done? I think it is not right...

I needed to book an engineer to call as my dryer was not working. The telephone appointment system was great. I then needed to cancel because the filter had not been cleaned. When I did this the machine started working. I rang spin doctor for a refund which I got without question. The telephone operator was so courteous. I have used spin doctor before and they are excellent.

Quick money for Spin Doctor.

I had a poor service from one of the engineers from Spin Doctor. The washing machine is leaking I couldn’t figure out what went wrong. I called them for a quick repair for £118. The engineer turned up and pulled out the integrated washing machine. He claimed there is a hole in the drum and beyond economical repair. The washing machine has been working for 3 years and I asked how it could possibly get damaged with a big hole in the drum. The response I got was “wear and tear”.

After the engineer left, I investigated the leak from the washing machine. I noticed the leak comes with the hose pipe connected to the washing machine. I tested the machine on a drain cycle for 10 minutes and no leak coming out from the machine. I sent the video of the leaking hose pipe while the washing machine is working. I rang them to have it replaced.

Sadly, the woman on the phone insisted the drum is damaged and beyond economical repair and refuse to send any man to replace to leaking hose pipe.

This is not what I expected. Totally unprofessional, nothing resolved and money wasted.

To be fair, I had used spin doctor before and it wasn’t as bad as this. But when there’s a problem, they refuse to acknowledge it and fix it.

I saw Spin Dr on google and decided to call them to fix my oven. Booked appointment online. Kieran from Stevenage arrived 07:59 sharp and check and fixed the oven. I wanted to throw the oven but now I have an oven for the next 10 yrs. Service and repair from booking to finish 5 star review. I highly definitely recommend SPIN SOCTOR. Thank you so much.

Great service. Quick response and friendly employee. My husband called him ‘hero of the day’. Arrived under 2 hours after we called and all fixed within an hour

I do not recommend this company. They do not apologize, they do not say sorry. They simply threatens unhappy customers by taking legal actions against you if you do not remove feedback. According to them, they are false. Your advice will be used against you. In the form they were informed about parking issue. It did not help after 15 minutes the engineer left and did not show up. They still charge you half price.

Absolutely atrocious service! Charged £95 for someone (who granted was very nice) to come and tell me my washing machine wasn’t spinning because it’s being overloaded. He said any further issues they will reattend at no charge. A day or two following the visit the machine will only spin if there is no more than 7 items in the machine. Clearly there is a fault as this is not normal for a 9kg machine. Tried to reach spin doctor again to be told they’ll speak to the engineer and then rather than calling me to ask questions they send multiple texts back and forth. I have young children at home and keeping on top of texts is not a priority. After giving up with the constant repeated questions I asked for my money back to receive a call from the rudest man (Scott) I’ve ever had to speak to from a company. He told me I’m not angry with them I’m angry with the machine, no I’m angry that I’ve paid you nearly £100 to basically do nothing and not diagnose a problem when there clearly is one. He had a constant attitude on the phone, much like the ladies in the office, which got my back up royally. He said they needed to ask questions and I repeated that I keep telling them the issue and getting the same questions back. His response was “and how hard was it for you to respond”. We ended up in a heated argument which woke my baby up and again he says “oh I suppose that’s my fault too is it?” I again asked for my money back and he said you’re not getting it back and I proceeded to hang up. No fix, unnecessary stress and as a property manager of 25 years there are people far more capable and polite to deal with your problem. Use this company if you like setting your money on fire.

I will remove this review if I receive my money back but hope plenty of people see it in the meantime.
