I wasn't concerned ordering online from literally the most popular halloween store in the US, however... they are notorious for taking peoples money and not actually sending anything out. I ordered costumes for my kids in early October and was told they would be here in plenty of time for Halloween. They "scanned" a label but never actually took a package to FedEx for shipping. They DO NOT answer the phone or call you back, for as much money as this company makes you would think they would actually offer customer service but THEY DO NOT. It's nothing short of a scam, ripped off and no costumes for my kids. If you aren't going to actually ship products out, you shouldn't be offering them for online sales - DON'T BUY ONLINE from these crooks and if you did good luck getting your money back.

I ordered online 10/26 because the item was nit available in store. I paid extra for s/h to have over night delivery due to needing it the night of 10/27. My order did not come until 10/30. Store wouldn't do a return or an exchange. Their website also would not do a return. I feel I should have received an email stating it wouldn't be delivered on time. Also since they sent it anyway they shouldn't have charged me overnight delivery fee. Will never shop spirit Halloween again.

I bought the outfit on the 10th and paid extra for 3 day shipping. It never came. Spirit lied to me and said it was shipped on the 5th day and by week 3 that’s when they told me it was never shipped out and it was sold out… Had to spend even more money for a last minute costume And I gotta wait 7 to 10 business days for $150. I will just buy elsewhere I won’t give these people my money.

I bought a strobe light that doesn't work. I purchased this on the 22nd of October. I tried it out and it sidnt work. Could not return it at the store. Which is a scam that they sale you something that doesn't work and you are stuck with it. Hopefully my credit card purchase protection will cover it since this thief of a store won't!

Store hours online for Sunday said they were open til 9pm at Findlay Village Mall in Findlay OH; got here at 7:45pm and the doors were locked:(

I would give ZERO stars if I could. I should have read all the reviews before going to the Spirit Halloween store. Now they do not have dressing rooms. And they tell you there's no refunds. Oh, no, wait, there are refunds until the day you come in to return it. The 2nd day after you bought the costume. Because it didn't fit and they tell you. Oh, well, you should've read the sign. All the costumes are sized in correctly. The staff is rude and it's a rip-off. Hope I can save somebody some time and money. And they'll read the reviews before they go to the spirit Halloween store..

I recently visited a Spirit Halloween location with my husband and kids, and I have to say, I was impressed with the large selection of costumes, especially this close to Halloween. The store was not very busy at the time, so the shopping experience was pleasant, and we found a costume for everyone in our family.
The only thing I was not very pleased with was the shockingly high prices of many of these costumes. Fortunately, the thing that made the experience more worthwhile was the fact that they actually did have a few that are reasonably priced; you just have to really go searching for them.
Otherwise, the customer service was great, and they answered any questions that we had. The girl at the checkout counter was incredibly kind as well.
While I can’t exactly vouch for their high prices, I can certainly recommend them for their wide variety of costumes, clean environment, and great customer service.
All in all, we enjoyed our shopping experience and will definitely be back again next year. Thanks, Spirit Halloween, for providing more costumes and better quality products than the average supermarket or party store. ⭐️

Spent over $40 dollars on a costume and when we got it home all the accessories were missing! Went back to the store and the manager said the employees wore the costumes to have a party and they must have lost the accessories. So they are selling used costumes as new. The jerk of a manager would not give us our money back and had no more of this costume in stock. Will never go back again! Party City will be getting our business from now on! This spirit store is on Bowles avenue in Littleton CO.They keep giving replies to contact them privately....they are a joke! Fix it publicly so people know you have nothing to hide!

I wanted to get a costume but didn’t know what size to get so I figured I’d by two and keep the one that fits. I asked a employee on the floor about returns all they said was,”yes you can do returns “. Never said a date. I asked the cashier about returns and all that was said again was just a ,”yes “(no date was given again). Yes she did highlight the receipt ;but never told me that she was highlighting anything so I would know to look (I am asking about returns and you’re highlighting at date returns have to be in SAY SOMETHING TO THE CUSTOMER ). So I came back 8 days later and they told me no can’t return it we only do returns till the 23rd and it’s the 25th and it’s no one’s fault (to me it sounds like you’re employees don’t care about giving correct information cause it’s not their money) So I call corporate cause it’s $75 I’m not giving up that easy. The guy at corporate was even less help. After listening to me he said yes the employees should’ve said a date to me when I asked and he can fix this. Well he comes back after putting me on hold to tell me ,”sorry spirit Halloween is strict about their rules and he can’t do anything”.
So the motto of the story is look at receipts even if the employees tell you differently, trust people even less than I already do, DONT SHOP HERE AGAIN , AND TELL EVERYONE SO IT DOESNT HAPPEN TO OTHERS. CAUSE SORRY BUT MONEY DOESNT JUST APPEAR IN MY BANK ACCOUNT I WORK HARD FOR EVERY CENT I MAKE!!!!

I am deeply disappointed with my recent purchase from this store. I ordered a 6ft Zombie Fog Animatronic, but when the package arrived, a crucial part was missing. Despite my numerous attempts to contact them and resolve the issue, the store failed to take any meaningful action. This lack of customer service and responsibility is incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. I urge others to be cautious when considering purchasing from this store, as my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. I strongly advise closing this store to prevent others from enduring similar frustrations.

I have had the absolute worst customer experience I have ever had in my entire life. I ordered Halloween costumes for my two young sons on October 3rd. Plenty of time to have them for all fall events, right? Wrong, because I ordered from Spirit Halloween! Spirit Halloween did send us an order but instead of our Halloween costumes, it was a package of cheap plastic spiders and a Halloween decoration. I let them know immediately. They assured me they would overnight the correct package. Days go by and still no package. I contacted them again, they promised to send them again. This happened over and over and over again. Here we are October 24th, still no package. They tell me now the merchandise is no longer in stock. I asked for a refund, they said they can only give me a gift card to their store. Obviously, I don’t want that. I was told the only way I they will consider a refund without a gift car is if I “FILE A NON-EMERGENCY POLICE REPORT. Buyer beware!!!

Someone else’s order came in the mail instead of my own. I ended up heading to Spirit Halloween in Burlington, MA and Aubrée T, the DSM, had to be the most helpful retail associate I have ever encountered. She let me wait at the front of the store, while I messaged with a customer service agent on the Live Chat to resolve the shipping issue, meanwhile she walked the entire store searching for pieces of my order.
Aubrée was very kind and considerate, and even helped me with responding to the Live Chat agent. I can’t rave enough about her level of effort and kind/ dedicated attitude. I walked into the store feeling frustrated and stressed and left feeling excited to celebrate Halloween with the entirety of my original order! She’s the best and runs that location the best anyone ever could.
I’m very grateful I went in-store and got to be helped by her. I hope the higher-ups at Spirit Halloween hear me when I say: PLEASE PAY THIS WOMAN AS MUCH AS YOU CAN!! She treats customers with next level care, effort and a great attitude and I hope I can return to this store asap just from that interaction.
I bought over $500 worth of costumes a few days ago. Their sizing is off and everything was huge. I went to return them and no returns just exchanges. That's fine I wanted to repurchase some online anyway, nope. for some freakin reason we can't? We bought these DAYS ago. Why did they not tell us this when we made the purchases!!!!!!?! They can only do instore exchanges but nothing is in stock???? great. thanks for wasting my money. I ask about gift cards and nope. We don't exactly have a ton of fun money, this was a splurge I was excited for to liven up the bedroom a bit. But nothing fits. Happy 5 year anniversary waste of money.

After done purchasing at spirit halloween on Tyler street in riverside my husband and I walked to the car while my 16 years old daughter and 11 year old son stepped on the animatronics one last time. While doing this my daughter said an employee approached them showing them another animatronic, then he asked about the sport she plays and school (wearing her school shirt) and then told my 16 year old daughter to follow his Instagram that he makes music. He told her to search it up then told her to DM him so he can send her his music videos. This is a grown man knowing she’s in highschool. I’m disgusted. I called the store but they don’t answer. Corporate is closed but I will be calling in the morning. Be careful because to me that is predatory behavior.

Amendment: I called back and they refunded me for the shipping fee and apologized. Thank you. The costumes arrived the day before Halloween so at least we had them on the day.
Complaint
I paid almost $60 for speedy shipping to get the product on time for a party. They didn’t arrive and when I phoned, they hung up on me. Twice. I wasn’t rude, I just asked for my money back for the shipping and they hung up. Don’t trust the online store. It’s a scam.

They seemed to have lots of costumes but there weren't any wall covering stock and very little to decorate with. They had some tombstones, dolls and of course the very expensive animatronics but I was disappointed with the lack of selection for other items. I asked a staff member for pumpkin carving stencils and she said they didn't have any but I found some at the check out so they did have them. I spent over $300 and still had to purchase a bag to put everything in. You would think that if someone spent that much money they would forgo the bag charge. They also had no change rooms to try on costumes and the staff seemed very unhappy. All in all it was not a fun experience and I don't think I'll be going back next year.

Doesn’t deserve one star! I purchased 3 costumes. Tried to return 2 that didn’t for the very next day! In perfect condition and was treated disrespectfully and told I couldn’t get a refund or exchange! Never will I waste my money on this cheap unprofessional excuse for a Halloween store again!

Total scam. I placed an order at the begining of October and my item still says in transit via Fedex. Which is odd. It has never even moved after all these days and has a tracking number but they were sure happy to take that money from my account on day one. Tried to call several times and never could reach real person - wait time of 8 -12 hours?!!!! That is totally fake. Very sad to see another company taking advantage of people and if the REAL company that is Spirit does know about this and has not put out a notice about the scam or put a stop to it- that is even worse.
