Beautiful garden table & chairs
I ordered a clearance item from Richard so was fully aware the delivery time may be longer. Although it did take longer than I expected, Richard communicated with me at all times. I did consider a refund at one stage but am so glad I didn’t, my garden furniture is beautiful and receives lots of comments regarding the quality. It was lovely to meet Richard, who was obviously trying to navigate an issue with delivery times. I found him to be honest, genuine & wish him all the best with his business. I would definitely order again.

Avoid at all costs
Richard is a friendly guy but I've lost faith he ever had my table.
After exceeding the stated lead time I requested a refund but it took weeks to persuade Richard & team to action this. There was always a reason to wait just a few more days, a promise of a delivery next week, etc.
Based on:
- repeated offers to "upgrade" me to a different table
- the "wrong but in my favour" table being accidentally loaded on the day of the delivery
- my order mysteriously going missing from the logistics centre when Richard when to collect it after I declined the alternative
- Richard's parting shot post refund of "If you did want to go a head with a rectangular table at the same size it's possible."
I can only conclude he never had the table I ordered and was hoping to persuade me to accept an alternative. I just wish he had been clearer on this point up front, I could have received a refund in time to look elsewhere for this summer.
I did eventually receive a refund and Richard continued to engage with me on WhatsApp while this took time to process.

Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologise for the frustration and disappointment caused throughout your order.
I completely understand why the delays and different options discussed along the way caused you to lose confidence. However, I would like to reassure you that there was never any intention to mislead you or persuade you into accepting an alternative because the original table did not exist.
Your order was placed during a particularly challenging period, with very sudden growth, a delivery backlog and a changeover to a new delivery method all happening at the same time. As a clearance set, it also required additional preparation and checks before dispatch.
We offered an upgraded set and delivery option to try to speed things up, but you understandably preferred to keep to the original table you had ordered.
The wider table that was later loaded for delivery was a genuine mistake. As soon as you explained that the 120cm width would not work for your space, I apologised and offered to arrange the original 100cm wide table instead.
I fully accept that by that stage you had already waited long enough. With hindsight, I continued trying to make the delivery work for longer than I should have, when I should have given you a clearer choice sooner.
Your refund was processed, and although it was then held as pending by the payment processor, I continued to follow this up with you until it was resolved.
Maintaining an honest reputation is extremely important to me as a small independent business, so I am genuinely sorry that the experience left you feeling otherwise.
I sincerely apologise again for the time and frustration caused.

An excellent teak garden bench provider.
This small business was keen to make a good impression. The business owner delivered our garden bench the following day with a smile, and seeing that I was nor that young and physically able assembled it at no extra charge. The product is perfect- a high quality, well-made, chunky teak garden bench with mortice and tenon joints- superior to any other comparable product that I have seen at a similar price. I am completely satisfied and will keep abreast of other products they offer.

Lovely People, Diabolical Service
Richard persuaded me to take down my previous, bad review, because he pulled on my heart strings and he promised to compensate me for the diabolical service I had received by providing patio covers for the patio set I bought. He said he'd provide the tracking details. Neither have been forthcoming in spite of my warning that I would re-post my review if he did not honour his promise.
I ordered a patio table and chairs on 26th April. On 9th of June, I had an email to say that my order was on its way. From the 24th of June on, I was sending frequent email and WhatsApp messages to find out what was going on. A lady who was always responded full of charm, but no action responded each time. On 29th June, I was told the lady had left. I was now communicating with the equally charming Richard, the company owner. Nothing seemed to be moving so, I was communicating with him every single day in the end. I even moved the deadline that I had set for when I wanted my money back - once because his assistant had left and a second time to allow the delivery company a day's grace. When the patio set eventually arrived on 7th July, the table delivered was the wrong shape. As it was for my daughter's family, I only saw a photo of it once my son-in-law had assembled it. However, upon returning from work, my daughter pointed out the error and I informed Richard. He said the table was worth more than the one ordered, but, that was not the point: it had been ordered to fit a specific space. By now, I was so exhausted by the whole process that I persuaded my family that they could live with the table they had. Dealing with this company is hard work and all the more so if you live a busy life as most of us do. I am very sorry for Richard, but, he does need to get his organisation sorted out. I hope his latest assistant is able to help him do so.

I completely understand why you felt frustrated by the delays and communication throughout, and I am genuinely sorry that we did not provide the level of service we aim for.
Although I was very pleased to hear that you and your family really like the furniture itself, I completely appreciate that this does not make up for the experience you had getting it, and I am sorry that we let you down in that respect.
For transparency, I would just like to clarify a couple of points. The patio covers that I promised as a gesture of goodwill were never forgotten. I tried to call you on two occasions and left a message to explain that whilst the chair covers were in stock, I was waiting for the correct table cover to arrive so that I could send the complete set together.
I can also confirm that the cover set has now been dispatched and the tracking details have been sent to you.
I would also like to clarify that when the incorrect table was delivered, I did offer to arrange the correct replacement so that you received the table you had originally ordered. Although the table delivered was a more expensive model, I completely appreciate that this was not the table you had chosen. I also completely respect your decision to keep the table that was delivered.
As a small independent family business, we have experienced a period of very rapid growth over the past few months. I am working hard to put better systems in place while still maintaining the personal level of service our customers expect and deserve.

Outstanding service and a beautiful quality product
We ordered the Harrington teak extending dining table and stacking chairs yesterday and were absolutely delighted to have them delivered the very next day.
From our first contact, Richard was exceptional. His knowledge, attention to detail, and communication were outstanding, and he went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our purchase. It is rare these days to deal directly with someone who takes such genuine pride in their business and cares so much about the customer experience.

An updated review: After a much longer wait than we’d anticipated, Richard personally delivered our dining set today. He was incredibly apologetic and genuinely cared that we'd had a disappointing experience. He took the time to explain what had happened and it was clear he wanted to make things right.
The furniture itself is absolutely beautiful. The quality is excellent - we're so pleased with our purchase. It was definitely worth the wait.
The delivery times and communication throughout the process could certainly be improved, as the uncertainty was frustrating at times. However, we also appreciate that delays can happen, especially for small independent businesses, and we were grateful that Richard went above and beyond by delivering the furniture himself.
We're pleased to have been able to support a family-run business and hope they can iron out the delivery issues, because they have a genuinely lovely product. Thank you, Richard, for seeing it through.

Ordered a set of table and chairs in April and paid for them. Reported issue to Shopify (also totally inadequate) and was promised the earth. Now mid July no order. Will take this up with my bank more hassle. So if this stops one person buying from them great I’ve helped someone. DONT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE . I have just read their answer. Living on the Isle of Wight we constantly check delivery prices and I fed my post code into their system to check the delivery price and their system stated no charge. I’m afraid to say this has only confirmed my opinion of these people. DONT BUY FROM THEM INCOMPETENT COMPANY

Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologise for the frustration and disappointment caused.
For clarity and context, your order was for a clearance dining set being delivered to the Isle of Wight. The free mainland delivery option was selected at checkout, however deliveries to the Isle of Wight require a different delivery arrangement and an additional surcharge due to the location and logistics involved.
Our delivery page clearly outlines this information, and at checkout customers are asked to select the correct delivery method appropriate to their location. I did explain this to you and tried to work with you to find a solution. As a small business, I even offered to absorb the full additional delivery cost, which was not something I was required to do but rather a gesture to help you out and still try to complete the order for you.
Clearance dining sets can also carry an additional lead time, as they require further checks and preparation before dispatch. Combined with the Isle of Wight delivery arrangement, this meant the order would take longer than a standard mainland delivery.
That said, I do accept that communication could have been clearer and handled sooner from our side, and I sincerely apologise for that.
As you were not prepared to wait any longer, we confirmed that a full refund would be arranged.
I am genuinely sorry again that we were unable to complete the order for you and that the experience has left you feeling this way.

I ordered a bench on the 24th March and…
I ordered a bench on the 24th March and it has still not been delivered! I have sent over 20 messages to the company chasing the status of the order. The company informed me shortly after ordering that they were having some issues with their deliveries and to please be patient, after waiting for 5 weeks with no further updates as to when I would be receiving my bench I started to regularly chase. The company then kindly offered to refund the bench on the 9th May but still offered to deliver it. Almost 2 months later, I’ve had minimal communications and no bench delivered. I wish the company had been honest from the start and not promised to deliver the bench if they weren’t going to follow through with this as I’ve now been waiting for a bench for over 3 months and wish I had just ordered another one back in March!!!!

Your order was placed during a very difficult period, when our previous courier unexpectedly stopped accepting items of this size at very short notice. This caused significant disruption while we worked to put a new delivery solution in place.
I completely understand how frustrating this must have been, particularly after waiting for updates, and I am genuinely sorry that communication was not as clear or consistent as it should have been.
For transparency, I would also like to clarify that a full refund had already been processed some time ago. Following this, there was further discussion around still trying to deliver the bench as a goodwill gesture, but I fully accept that this should have been handled and communicated much more clearly from our side.
As a small family business, we genuinely care about our customers and I am very sorry that we did not provide the level of service we aim for on this occasion.
We have since been working hard to improve our delivery processes and communication so customers are kept better informed moving forward.

Absolutely appalling customer service
Absolutely appalling customer service. One of the chairs arrived damaged nearly 2 months ago and the owner and customer service representative (who now apparently doesn’t work there) both insisted a replacement had been ordered with the supplier and they’d contact me soon/by the end of the day repeatedly. Nothing has repeatedly been done. Do not trust this company spend your money elsewhere. I will be filling a formal complaint with the ombudsman and requesting a refund.
Update.
After 7 weeks many phone calls, messages and emails and finally a demand for a refund they finally managed to deliver the replacement chair. The owner seems like a decent guy but is out of his depth, promising things he doesn’t deliver, largely through trusting others. I wouldn’t order anything from them again

When a replacement item is required due to damage, there can be an additional process and lead time while we confirm the correct replacement, check what has happened, and arrange this properly. However, I fully accept that this should have been communicated much more clearly throughout.

Extremely good company to deal with
I ordered my furniture in April and it arrived, as quoted on the order, well within the the time frame. Richard who is the owner of the store always returned my calls or answered straight away and was pleasant, courteous and explained the answers to my questions. In short, very professional. I am aware that he is exceptionally busy and sometimes things don't go 100% his way. However, I felt confident, and the few slips I had were dealt with quickly and fully. The delivery of the furniture was made by two very nice young men who carried the table and chairs to the site where it will be assembled. Opening the box, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the table and chairs. They are very well constructed, albeit heavy, and built to last. In general, I am very happy with the furniture, the service provided and the excellent communications received.

Bought a Lutyens Bench from The Teak Store, we live in Hampshire, i believe the company are in Lancashire. Was delivered promptly within a few days.
