Enjoyed constructing
I like the engineering of the product.
V strong once assembled, especially if fixed to back wall.
Shelves slight dented in transit, but fine to use. I plan to paint or oil mdf shelves incase of damp in my garden shed.
Could have done with assembly instructions - order of assembly matters.

This is my second set of shelving…
This is my second set of shelving purchased recently from Tufferman. Yet again, I cannot fault either the quality of the goods or the efficiency of how my order was managed. The set of SX340 Industrial Shelving I purchased are very robust and went together fairly quickly once the 'knack' for engaging the shelf side hangers into the vertical supports had been mastered. This shelving I feel is really good value for money. I would definitely look at what they had to offer first, should I need something further from their product range.

Shelving unit was 1600mm high rather than 1800mm and only 4 shelves rather than 5.

Thank you for your feedback, and I'm sorry we didn't get your order right. Receiving a 1600mm unit with four shelves instead of the 1800mm unit with five that you ordered isn't acceptable, especially after the delivery also arrived a day late.

Some items missing from the delivery
Some items missing from the delivery, phoning them to get it resolved was a waste of time as it always went to voicemail which they never responded to, took 48 hours to get a response on email. It got resolved in the end but there’s a lot of room for improvement.

I bought 3 shelving units
I bought 3 shelving units, they arrived in good time but the packaging was not fit to hold the weight of the product inside. Upon opening I noticed bear metal in places, bent metal parts and a general cheapness to the quality of the product. The shelves were easy enough to assemble, but you do have to be mindful to get all the tabs in the pockets correctly.
The wooden insert shelves aren't very good quality at all, they are around 5mm think, even though I ordered the heavier gauge shelving, they don't seem very strong and more importantly when you slide a box on and off the shelf you get MDF dust under the box. Like the shelves are disintegrating before your eyes, let alone the safety risk from MDF dust inhalation??? Maybe the company would like to comment on that aspect, there's a possible future law suit.
I wish I'd read these comments before buying the shelves 🙁 overall the shelves are of poor, cheap quality material and design. Steer clear

Shocking Delivery Service
Absolutely diabolical service from Tufferman. Paid extra for a Friday delivery. Got an email on Friday afternoon saying the goods had been delayed at the Hub. We had received an automated email earlier that day saying they had left the Hub so obviously someone is lying. Called the courier and they offered to deliver on the Saturday.
Paid joiners to come in and work the weekend to install the racking.
Waited in all day and the goods never arrived. Absolutely shambolic. No call, no apology, no acknowledgement of the massive inconvenience.
Would never use again.

The shelves are great
The shelves are great, truly robust with proper chipboard decls which will support proper weight. There were a few snags with delivery but her team sorted it professionally without fuss.

Tuffermans and the staff i cannot fault,very helpful. But the company they use to deliver is not great,definitely not as helpful as Tuffermans and certainly not as professional.
