Terrible website UI looks outdated is unorganized. Stupid agreements on every single thing you can imagine, for example showcase image size has to be specific, no borders on image, and then all the stupid agreements they have with thousands of brands and they just take out your models out of nowhere. 3Dexport and CGtraders are one million times better plus youll make way more money since the royalties are way better (they rob half your money) and I always make more money with the other sites cause they have better conversions.

Artist gets about 30% of sales money...
So, who made the goods?
Goods can be sold in many ways, but they wouldn't have what to sell without us!
There are millions of artists, but how many people work in TS? They are reviewing my model for TWO MONTHS!!!
How much do they earn??? Well, far more than artists, which is insane.
It's like mafia racketeering!

Couldn't even buy something without being forced to wait for a order "under review" and coerced into calling their support. Didn't realize buying something was this difficult.

Despite a small number of trademark / copyright issues that I've had with Turbosquid (let's face it, if you duplicate a design in a 3D model, you do not have an automatic right to replicate a brand, name, company etc without their respect owners permission) but in my experience, which is extensive, they have always conducted themselves according to the 'contract', even when it hasn't always been entirely transparent. From a sellers point of view, they are a diligent company. Additionally, I would like to see greater transparency with regards 'prohibited' material, particularly the use of trademark, copyright, brand etc permissions that sellers are able to use. It used to be easy to access but in recent years it doesn't appear to be visible at all. TS - stick it on your home page or at least update your sellers with a simple email, telling us where we can find it. In summary, I'd give Turbosquid a 9/10. They are not perfect, but they are sound!

Attempted to become seller. Never have had any issues on any other marketplace. But for you to upload to TurboSquid they make you jump through numerous hoops and make uploading simply a pain. Making things overcomplicated and not user or seller friendly.

For instance, they require a Search Image at specific dimensions rendered a specific way with a specific color space in the background, 5 standard images rendered at a 16/9 ratio and 1080p or higher, Wireframe render at specific dimensions, Turntable render with specific number of frames aswell as a minimum resolution, UV map Overlaid by specific space and at exact size, etc. It makes uploading take nearly as long (Or in my case longer) than actually designing the models.

I've been using Turbosquid for years and my experience is very good. When I need a 3d model it's my first resource, I've found good free models and when I buy them they quality is professional. I also use it to sell my products, they always pay on time, I never had any problem. The chat is not so helpful (the support ticket is better) but it remains one of the best website for 3d models.

I uploaded my models, after some months it is in suspended mode because of "Overlays on All Images"

I just removed that text oveled image & waiting for clearance of suspension...

Creatives are cheated out of their hard-earned wages in the end. Newcomers get paid 40% and have to pay additional taxes in their country. Yes, you move up (if you can call it that at all) and get from 150 euros sold objects then paid a whole 41%. Exclusive contracts with squid-io guarantee for it, then one sells exclusively at TS, just 60% what is still fraud.
Let the fingers of it, there are better alternatives like CGTrader and others.

I am a 3d artist and sold many 3d models on this site, then they suddenly closed my account without any reason or warning and removed my 3d models.

I tried to contact the support team multiple times but they didn't reply

I made a second account and they did this to me again without even informing me about the reason.

So kindly stay away from these scammers, it is a fruitless waste of time !

I've been with Turbosquid since 2000. It's been a rather good experience with a couple bumps in the road here and there. But something has changed in the company.

They have since stopped sending checks and instead insisted on doing a very strange digital money transfer which has to go through a mediary (Payoneer) then to my bank so it now takes days to process. Their payments are very inconsistent and CAN NOT be depended on.

This all came to a head today. I was very much depending on that payment and they decided that they would delay payment for the Forth of July weekend (this weekend) until the 5th so I will not be getting paid for an entire week. I have since pulled ALL of my assets from the website in which their response was "Do you need assistance deleting your assets?"

I am in complete disbelief despite all of my efforts to get the payment through today they were completely void of any humanity or loyalty in spite of the fact that they have made nearly $106,000 off of my work (avg. $400 per month) and I've been with them for 22 years. Un-believable.

I am in shock and in tears that YEARS mean NOTHING and I'm left feeling like a complete stranger and outsider in this decades long business venture.

I've been a Turbosquid customer for many years and have recently discovered that they are knowingly making profit from stolen 3D models. Just search Google and you will see for yourself. You can also read a great article about this which provides more context by searching opengameart.org. Unfortunately, I can't post a direct link to this here.

As mentioned in that article. Turbosquid are unlikely to inform you if you have purchased a stolen model, so check the profile page for any models you may have purchased via your account regularly. If that page is blank or redirects you to the Turbosquid home page, chances are the model was stolen and has been removed. Don't be surprised if you are contacted by the original author of this content seeking adequate compensation as mentioned in other reviews below.

I've also had some of my content stolen and sold on Turbosquid over the past year, but this company does not care at all. They haven't even banned the user who stole and sold my content via their own platform. Ask yourself, what type of company actually allows someone who knowingly stole content and made their own customers potentially liable to remain active and continue selling content?

If you are a digital artist or care at all about this industry, then you will refrain from supporting this company and condoning this type of behaviour altogether.

Huge commission: you get only 40%.
Pointless requirements: constant checks during which the model is blocked for a very long period of time, the need to make a white background (why, really?), Just posting the model causes many not always clear problems.
Moderation: due to the fact that the site is just full of low-quality models, your possibly good models get lost between them. Bad repetitive 3d models are not deleted or hidden, but yours will certainly be.
Interface: for the buyer it is attractive, but for the seller it is so confusing, and sometimes crooked.
Search: not a logical search at all, very strange categories of models, it is possible to display models by the number of views (100, 200, 500), but how this works is not clear, because even the author of the model cannot see such information.
And now the worst thing: at the beginning of my work in 3d, I uploaded several models to different platforms, I earned some money on turbosquid. To withdraw it, I created a PayPal account, but it was not fully supported in my country, I realized this when I received notifications from other platforms that the payment failed. On those platforms, the money was returned to the wallets, and I normally transferred them to a normal account. But turbosquid just ignored it. The money did not come to the account or to the turbosquid wallet. they just stole the money and don't want to do anything about it. Although they probably did, after this event my sales dropped a lot.
Perhaps earlier turbosquid was a very popular platform for selling 3d models, but now it is terrible, I don’t recommend using it, and even more their squidguild, thanks to which you get how much you should from models and not just what you got from their huge commission, but in return you refuse to use normal platforms on which you can earn more than 5 times!

On their site they state that if an image is not suitable for your project they will give you a simple refund. They make it as difficult as possible. Instead of just giving a refund. First, they contacted the author of the image to try and deal with the problem I had. Then it still didn't work. Then after 7 exchanges of email, they said as an exception they would issue a refund and I had to fill in a special request. Do not do business with these people.

They take a huge portion of our earning and I noticed that after December they our making us pay the 3$ payoneer fees for transferring artist earnings to payoneer. They are just greedy thieves. Cgtrader pays the transfer fees for payoneer. That is a very unfair move by turbosquid, they should stop being so greedy and reconsider this.

Avoid them, they are scammers. I´m a seller there and they only pay 40% to artists. The problem is that even that poor revenue, they don´t pay! I have been waiting for my sales payment for several months, with many claim tickets opened and the answer is "contact paypal". These are just pass-over answers, i know my paypal works fine, the problem is that they never send money.
SCAMMERS! AVOID THEM

I've been a seller there for more than 10 years, and I just removed all my content, because although the royalties have always been poor for sellers, the site has gone downhill in many other aspects too, in the last years. They only give you 40% of royalties on your models, unless you sell exclusively on their site. Their reviews to certify the models are highly incompetent, I guess they have low wage juniors working there. Totally made up copyright infringements claims, even on designs created by you. VERY WEAK response by customer service on reportings of stolen content on their site; I guess it doesn't matter for them, as long as they make a profit. Don't support this company, there are many others out there selling 3D assets, and much more honest than Turbosquid.
