Fantastic service and selection
Clear communication, none pushy sales team and great aftercare service.
Installer was friendly and professional.
The carpet itself is fantastic. We went for a premium saxony and underlay and it’s completely elevated our home. We’ve used United carpets and beds for multiple projects including our own home and we’ll continue to use them in the future. Highly recommended.

Plenty of Problems
Originally the flooring was measured wrong, we needed an extra pack of laminate to finish the kitchen. Additionally the man who came out to measure didn't advise us we couldn't have lino in the porch (due to the floor being unlevel) but the fitters wouldn't fit lino. United Carpet covered the cost of the extra 2 packs of laminate for the kitchen and porch, and the fitters time to correct this mistake. I had to cover the cost of bringing my joiner out on a Saturday to finish the skirting, beading and boxing. I learned a couple of days later that the flooring fitters had unscrewed my kitchen cabinet legs to put flooring underneath (terrible idea) and in places this had pulled the cabinets off the walls. My kitchen fitter was fuming. Firstly he needed to carve out the laminate and underlay from under the cabinet legs (laminate should never have fixed cabinets on top) and then repair the damage that had been done.
Overall, everyone was very nice, but using this company probably set me back about £400 in paying my kitchen fitter and joiner to come back and correct the mistakes United made.

Firstly delivered damaged bed.
Firstly delivered damaged bed.
Reported and received good support and scheduled for a new bed delivery after a couple of weeks.
Second time again the bed received with scratches and fabric torn out.
It's a velvet fabric bed, should have handled it nicely.
Waiting further response from them, will keep updated.

Good service at a good price
Always very helpful at Preston. A special mention for Scott who always provides good customer service and products at a decent price.
The carpet and vinyl fitting was done to a high standard, my only issue is it would be nice if the spare cut offs and rubbish from the fitting was also removed, we had 6 large bags to get rid of.

Fitting was around mid March , can't remember exact date
I had no problem with the ordering of the carpet and the salesman was extremely polite and knowledgeable, The problem was ( and I say this with experience of a career as a self employed joiner working in people's houses ) is that though the fitter did a very good job of fitting but he let himself down by leaving all the off cuts and packaging and even a empty adhesive can lying on the living room floor,never bothered even taking the plastic wrapping off the new door trims it seemed to me it was a case of ,, I get paid for fitting so that's all I'm going to do, as for the company itself we had no problems

Reasonable priced quality carpets
Reasonable priced quality carpets. Very friendly, polite fitter who arrived on time & did an excellent job.

So they work on behalf of pay weekly…
sometimes United carpet and beds do jobs for the Pay weekly Ltd who are a awful rude company as my carpet didn't last even a few months before it was pulling up and threading, they called united carpets and beds who came and accessed my carpet I persume it was the manager he was lovely and instantly knew that the condition should not be like that and contacted pay weekly even tho i am a monthly payments and they claimed it and changed my carpets and had no issues. The only issues with United carpets was the guy who fitted our carpets (not the manager) he thought because it didn't last long and I am in a council house that my dog weed all over it and that's why but it wasn't the case my partner told him off and said how dare he come into my house and accuse us. Just because you choose to have A payment option dosent mean anything. But other than that the manager in United carpets and beds was perfect and sorted all my issues so thank you.

Carpet great, shame about the fitting
The fitters didn’t do the best job unfortunately. Carpet not in grips, bumps under the carpet. But the shop where we picked the carpet was great :) so helpful
