Well thought out design, but not the best for tall people

Vanguard VEO Active 46 25 Litre Trekking Backpack, I have used it on several hikes and I am fairly content with it. I am 6'3" tall, I find the backpack rides high, so the harness does not allow the waist belt to sit on my hips, so all the weight is carried on my shoulders. After 7 or 8 miles and carrying only 30lbs, it does become less comfortable. Lengthening/loosening the shoulder straps enables the pack to sit on the hips to share the load, but then the pouches on the shoulder straps are not accessible. This is a small price to pay for comfort on long arduous walks.
It is a shame that Vanguard do not offer height adjustments like Osprey and Lowe Alpine do on some of their ranges.

There is no feature to secure walking poles, or an ice axe. For the walking poles I have sewn on some double loops for the pegs and Velcro type wrap to secure the poles. I have probably invalidated the warranty when I sewed them on. But the pack is very well made and feels very robust.

Being able to access the pack from the harness panel, does mean there is a lack of ventilation to reduce a wet back, but you can't have it both ways. No pack completely negates this problem. This inconvenience is a small price to pay for the ease of access to the backpack.

The bladder pouch is not large enough to hold my full 2 litre Osprey bladder, but it will comfortably hold a 1 litre Nalgene bottle. If necessary I can put my bladder in the notebook sleeve. Not ideal but it works.

The detachable stuff pouch is a good size, and gives the option to hold a lens for quick access or can be used as a general goodies sack. It is a shame that these are not sold separately.

Accessing the main compartment from the outside provides excellent and easy access to the main compartment for kit that is not in the camera box.

The side belt pouch is a great design, and a good size to hold my compass, snacks, lens cleaning kit and cloth.

The top pouch is deep and very roomy, the securing strap is great for attaching a jacket or quickly stashing away a rain jacket when not needed.

I like the USB cable, the pouch holds my Venture 30 with a little room for other knick-knacks, and I can attach my solar panel to the daisy loops on the back of the pack.

Overall this is a very good backpack, solidly constructed and fairly well thought out in the design and would be worthy of 4 stars. However, I have given it 3 stars due to not being ideal for someone who is tall.

We bought a replacement eyepiece ring for my wife’s Vangaurd binoculars. We were a bit disappointed that the eyepiece ring came away as we hadn’t used it much and we had treated it respectfully. We felt that the cost of the replacement part was expensive as was the post and packing charge for what was a compact and light item.

I am a photographer and I have been using a Vanguard Supreme 53D camera case for about 5 years. It's like a medium sized suitcase Peli case, with an extending handle and wheels. I have taken out on hundreds of jobs, dragged it around London, Paris, Brussels and every other place and it has done a sterling job. A couple of weeks ago one of the wheels on the case came apart so I contacted Vanguard in the UK to see if I could buy a replacement and they were super helpful. They posted me a couple of replacement wheels with their compliments.

Very pleased with my tripod .Light enough for travel but sturdy.

You don't deliver to Switzerland. I had to have my order delivered to my sister in laws English address.

I am extremely pleased with my new Vanguard camera backpack. It is smart, very well made with a number of useful features. It is lighter than others I tried with good padding on the straps making it comfortable to wear. It wasn't as cheap as some others but the quality makes the extra money worth it. I have paid a lot for my camera so I didn't want to skimp on the bag.
Excellent and quick service too.

First tripod arrived with small damages, vanguard very quick to organise a replacement, very happy with the second one, most sturdy pod I have ever used.

TBH I did not believe I would receive any response but WOW was I wrong. A first class PERSONAL customer care service👌. Big shout out to both Emma and Neil for sourcing the smallest replacement part. Real people, no AI. Thank you both.

Two items I have purchased from Vanguard that have had a fault with with. In both cases a replacement was offered and the service was impeccable.

Be better if they hadn't developed a fault, but they're not alone in this. I feel I'm getting good VFM and the service backs it up. Just hope I don't need it again.

Well packaged quick delivery quality product as always.

I have had my Alta Pro 263 for about 10 years with no problems. That is until an issue this week with the centre column.

With one email to Vanguard, they sent the relevant part to fix the tripod, free of charge, and kindly sent instructions how to fit it.

I own a pair of binoculars which I carry and use virtually everyday The binoculars are fantastic but obviously parts deteriorate over time and I have had to consult with the customer service team to order parts. I can’t fault the service I have received, they are quick to respond and go out of their way to solve any issues I have had, in a word brilliant.

Great company to deal with and great products.

Emailed Vanguard customer service on Wednesday as the quick release plate on the tripod purchased from them earlier this year wasn’t working . Had a reply from them the following day and a new quick release plate was sent out , which I received today , Friday . Incredible customer service , will definitely use them again.

I had a VEO PH-28 tripod head that I felt didn't tighten correctly - the single locking handle was locking pan before the tilt. I contacted Vanguard's sales team and they replaced it really quickly for free. And the new one works exactly as hoped. Top customer service!
