That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Really lovely vet who gave sound advice, would use again
Really lovely vet who talked through in detail a health check and follow up treatment. I was really worried as doggo was not well and the vet put me at ease with her friendly manner and thorough check. Would definitely use this service again in an emergency.

A video appointment within 10 minutes. Excellent Service!
I was able to get a video appointment within 10 minutes and the Vet was excellent. Very impressed with the service and it is reassuring to have the option of a video call to assess a situation and help decide if it is an emergency situation or not.

Post Surgery Advice
Video call was just what we needed for our post surgery concern. It is a long drive to get to the nearest practice. This video call assessed what was going on & gave us reassurance that no emergency visit was required immediately, what to do over the wknd & visit our own vet on Monday. Video call vet was excellent, calm, professional, with good practical advice. Very good service.

This was my first time using Vets…
This was my first time using Vets Now-Video Vet and I would highly recommend. The whole experience was so easy and I got the best advice. It was only a 10min apt but we seemed to cover everything. They even send you a very detailed email with all that was recommended in the video call and they email your vets to fill them in on your call. I would definitely use this service again..but hopefully I won’t need too.

Fast Service
Guinea Pig looked in a very bad way with lots of discharge, and unsure whether we needed a vet urgently or could wait until the next day. We were talking to the Video Vet within an hour. The helpful & friendly vet helped to reassure us and provided us with a solid course of action. You couldn’t ask for quicker service, and our piggy is much better now.
