I would recommend Vets Now to everybody that has a poorly pet. They were absolutely brilliant with my puppy. Ringing every day to tell me how she was. We were allowed to go and spend time with her every day. I got photos on WhatsApp. The vets,nurses and the reception were brilliant nothing was to much for them. Thank you so much for all your help

Our 6 yr old Labrador, Chapati received emergency care at Tilehurst on Sat 25 April 26 from 7:20am to about 9pm for a sudden & severe blood related condition. Self transferred to Eastcotts, Swindon, she died at 11:30pm.

Vets Now clinical care was, albeit provided by 4 different vets on shifts, was as good as it could be in the traumatic circumstances faced. Our Vet and Eastcotts confirmed this. Thank you.

What is bitterly disappointing is that despite on arrival Vets Now taking a £285 deposit, our insurance details and advising they would expedite a direct claim (all v reassuring), they have failed to do so.

Instead we have been hounded daily by email and text seeking payment and/or us to now raise a claim. This is made all the more irksome as they have yet to prove an invoice showing monies paid & fees due.

It is sad that VN’s insensitive administration has blighted the hard work and care of their Vets.

Staff where we visited were extremely helpful, kind and respectful. A wonderful experience. Couldn't fault them. Recommend to anyone anytime. In actual fact perfect. A couple of entirely satisfied customers.

The speed that our dog was seen was very good....no waiting. Being met by the vet at the door was good too.
The costs were explained before but they seemed very high which is why I didn't score them 5 stars.
A bigger sign near the location would really help, especially as our visit was very late at night.

Vet was fabulous. Price was disgusting. To charge £310 just for consultation only is criminal. There is nowhere else to go out of hours so the vet company is taking advantage.

I was absolutely panicking bringing my little puppy in, had no idea what was going on and thought she had heat stroke. AT FIRST my impression wasn’t too great, the receptionists I was met with weren’t the warmest and they took my puppy away with no explanation as to what was going on and not really any words spoken to me. This was completely turned around by the care that the vet (Jaqueline) gave to not only my puppy but to us as humans as well! She genuinely cared, gave the best advice and love to my puppy. I will definitely be going back, she was seen straight away and we were out of there in 2 hours with overnight care offered as an option if needed. I will say there was a changeover of receptionist when we left and the girl who took payment and explained the insurance process was fabulous and made for her job!

I recently had to take my dog for an out-of-hours appointment, which is always stressful. I want to start by saying the vet who treated her was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, and the staff were all courteous and kind. I have no issues at all with the level of care provided, and I understand that out-of-hours treatment comes at a premium.

However, after paying £330 for the visit and submitting an insurance claim, I was very surprised to be told that the practice would not correspond with my insurer unless I paid an additional £35 administration fee.

While I appreciate that some admin is involved, this charge feels excessive and unfair—especially when dealing with an already upsetting situation. It leaves a bad impression and feels like an unnecessary extra cost at a difficult time. I feel cheated, like I am being held to ransom, and I feel they are taking advantage of policy owners and their poorly pets!

Reluctantly, I have NO option but to pay the fee so I can proceed with the claim, but I strongly disagree with this policy. It would make me think twice about using this service again in future.

A great team clinically, but policies like this really let the overall experience down.

The staff were great. Professional and friendly during a difficult time for me, as it was an emergency visit.

A good experience, the vet we saw was very nice, explained everything to us, everyone very friendly.

We were very happy with both the receptionist and the vet who were both ready to help with our dog when we arrived.
Clear instructions on how to find the practice and what was required from ourselves.
Very Happy to say our little dog had a restful night thanks to the vets intervention following his
surgery that morning. Got a follow up call and appointment from our own vet the next morning

Both members of staff couldn’t have been kinder. They could see how obviously stressed I was and took the time to explain what procedures they were going to do. Also like to mention the guy at your call centre who was very kind and patient

Took my dog to the PDDA in Huyton. Dog seen and given pain killer after which I paid the invoice in full. This company have not stopped harassing me for a £35.00 outstanding payment for an insurance claim which was never submitted. Despite contacting them and being assured it was their error and thus had been resolved I am have now received a letter asking for the same non existing payment……,, disgraceful customer service

All very good until the vet told me that half of my dogs brain was not working, I was referred to Stansted Veterinary Clinic, where the vet did a series of tests and said brain was fine , so maybe in future Vets Now should not give that sort of information and leave it to the experts
