Western Digital received my non-working Sandisk Memory Card on 2nd December 2022. These cards come with a lifetime warranty. Western Digital agreed to replace the card within 2-3 days for assessment and 2-3 days to be verified and replaced. It is now 9th February and the card has still not been replaced. I have sent numerous emails and received ridiculous replies; the oddest comment was that they were out of stock! I have been promised that my claim would be treat as a priority, Would I buy a Sandisk or WD product again? No!

Good products, customer service is a mixed bag. I had a cancelled order attempted to be delivered but the UPS tracking was wrong in several places, no one ever showed up at the claimed time, it was then claimed to be returned to the depot, and I had to explain the issue several times to show them I was not trying to commit fraud! I had an issue with a cable from another order, and it took a while to get them to understand what the issue was, as there are limited options in their support centre, none matching my problem, but they sent me a replacement, albeit it was white not black but that doesn't matter too much. USB cables seem to be their weak point, the drives are great, I had a few other USB cables underperforming but I just upgraded them to longer lengths which is what a lot of people do.

This company is run by complete Amatures, just time waster, asking for the same info over and over again

I wish I can give them 0 stars..I ordered 2 blazers Dec 5th in order to wear one of them on New year eve and after many attempts to contact the customer service I only received an email stating that they are about to give me a tracking number today is January 25th and I'm still waiting..How is this possible in 2023 in USA??

But when I have to update Windows, I check my external hard drive and all of a sudden it doesn't work anymore! I don't know how long it's been going on, but glad I checked...

I tried to contact WD support and their short answer was that since the product is out of warranty they can't/won't help.

It makes no sense in my world that you have to check your external hard drive continuously like that. It just has to work!
And why make some software for your product that suddenly doesn't work?

Either way, I'll have to buy a new external hard drive. And it will definitely not me WD.

I ordered a passport ultra 5GB on 11/27 and no mention of back order when I placed the order. Then shortly AFTER I received an email it was on back order. Also, still receiving emails that it's still on back order for now over 1 1/2 months. Also, can't cancel the order online. I have to call them to cancel this order. Thanks so much WD. Also, I can miraculously get it from Amazon today same day if I order it from them. I tried to place a review on their website and they disallowed it. I guess the truth hurts!!!!!! Latest update: finally got the drive yesterday after many more attempts on my part. I realized they also billed me several weeks before it was shipped. Not good!

BUYERS BEWARE! I ordered a blazer 12/3/2022 and didn't receive it til 1/2/2023. The quality of this blazer was nothing at all what I expected. I was also charged again on my account on 1/4/2023 for something that I have no idea and didn't authorize. Can't call they just expect you to go off emails and email an Alex. Very poor service and quality.

No, così, giusto per sapere, perchè l'assistenza post vendita non è degna manco del più scalcinato produttore dell'entroterra cinese. Ho acquistato un HDD Purple da 4TB pagandolo centinaia di euro, ha smesso di funzionare dopo due giorni, ve l'ho rispedito i primi di dicembre pagando di tsaca mia la spedizione ed avendo cura di imballarlo seguendo minuziosamente tutte le vostre cervellotiche indicazioni, ma adesso che è passato un mese, si può sapere quando caxxo mi spedite il prodotto nuovo? Visualizzo lo stato dell'RMA e risulta che siete ancora in atteso di reso, l'operatore con cui ho parlato mi ha detto che vi è arrivato il 19 dicembre e vi occorrevano 5/7 giorni lavorativi (come se un'azienda del vostro calibro non avesse uno schifo di magazzino per fare fronte alle evenienze a cui siete chiamati per giustificare la vostra esistenza), vabbè...ma adesso, a me pare che siano passati abbondantemente sia 5, sia 7 sia pure 17 e più giorni. Quando potrò avere l'onore di ricevere il prodotto in sostituzione che ho pagato e mai utilizzato? Chiedo per me...cambiate mestiere!

After five years, the device stopped working. I called CS, who guided me through different troubleshooting procedures to conclude the device had a hardware issue, and they could not do anything about the device and the data that was stuck inside. I was offered a 10% discount on any future purchase. (who wants to buy another product from a company that does not resolve your issue and lose your data forever?) - stay away from this kind of company and device. CS is not about answering the phone and reading a script but solving the issue or compensating the customer up to the level of prejudice, especially when you pride yourself on being a safe data storage and user-friendly company.

Eine WD Red kam schon defekt an. Der Weg bis zu einer RMA ist extrem mühsam und dann soll der Versand ins europäische Ausland selbst bezahlt werden (ca. 19€).
Ich kann nur jedem davon abraten Produkte von WD zu erwerben!

Also hier sollte man tatsächlich leider wirklich nichts kaufen, es ist sehr umständlichen und zeitaufwändig einen Garantiefall abzuwickeln und dann kommen auch noch hohe Kosten für einen Versand ins Ausland! zur Reparatur auf einen zu. Ich habe einige WD Platten, jetzt ist schon die zweite defekt, ärgerlich aber kann passieren… Eigentlich finde ich es gut beim Hersteller direkt zu kaufen aber in diesem Fall nie wieder und kann definitiv nur abraten.

This is a lousy company with terrible after sales service. I bought two of their 125 gbs USBs. They didn’t fit in any of my devices.
I got onto Thomas and Scott of Western Digital. They asked me to send photos etc. But refused my offer to send them the defective USBs. There have been many similar complaints about the USBs being defective.
Now they tell me the USBs are fake!
The mind boggles. Beware of this Company.

WD my cloud har ingen som i ingen dansk support og deres system er så dårligt at installere, den en fejl efter den anden poper op, og man kan intet gøre gennem deres website for at rette op det.

Jeg vil anbefale man holder sig langt væk fra dette produkt.
Har lige købt My Cloud Ex2 Ultra, det bliver returneret hurtigst.

One of the most terrible service! never buy anything from them.
I bought the most expensive external hard drive i never spend money for and just over one year old is not worked. I went to Best buy to complain about this they testes and said I need to call WD service.
I called and went through all than finally they told me i need to paid for get my file out because this hard driver over guarantee :(
