Terrible customer service

Just going to add to the many prior comments about Wester Digital's (WD) terrible customer service. I've never seen such terrible service. No joke, it took them over a month for them to respond to my initial inquiry (inquired on 11/29/2021 about an item I was purchasing for Christmas and they finally did me the favor of responding today 12/31/2021). And of course their templated response was not at all helpful in resolving my initial complaint.

Buy with a Credit Card to make sure you get a refund

Terrible experience. The HDD I purchased was faulty. I asked for a replacement. 2 months later, no replacement received. Asked for a refund. 2 months later, no refund received. Launched a dispute through the credit card I used for the purchase and got a refund a couple of months later. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!

Since I joined WD My Cloud and I bought the device I have lost several times all of my data and I received the worst customer service ever and I really go online and post everywhere regarding my experience which I do have all the documents and everything so basically when a person pays $300 for WD cloudy X to and after four years or two years is not being given used and you offering 20% is a joke please except if it’s a marketing thing at least you can find a better way do you say screw your clients instead

With regret that I even considered Your company a good one
And wish to loose the market to your other competitors who offering amazing service so basically I don’t see a difference between a thief and legal pirate which is you #stayashamed

Disque dur WD SSD 850 Black 1To achetés au mois de mars 2021sur le site de WE au prix de 298.99 euros.

Au mois d'aout 2021, le produit tombe en panne, je renvoie pour un remplacement du disque.

On est le 13 décembre et toujours pas de disque....

La seule réponse que j'ai depuis le mois d'aout c'est : "Je suis navré pour le délai qu'a pris votre dossier. Ceci est dû à une rupture de stock de votre produit qui est dû à la crise globale. Je vais faire le nécessaire et je vais remonter votre cas pour essayer de vous trouver une alternative à votre produit" malgré mon insistance et mes nombreux chats en direct et mes RMA rien ne bouge.

LE PRODUIT EST TOUJOURS VENDU PAR WD ET SUR AMAZON ...MAIS D'APRÈS EUX "C'EST EN RUPTURE DE STOCK"
Hier on m'a fait une proposition géniale : on me propose un Disque SSD SanDisk

Worst experience in years

Worst experience in years. Sent me a DOA drive, hours on chat, had to send them screenshots to prove the drive was dead, they refused to replace with anything other than a refurb, refused to sell me a replacement at the sale price I paid originally, then a month after they received the DOA return finally sent me an email that I'll be getting a refund (not yet mind you) but refused to refund the shipping cost.

Unfortunately since they and Seagate have bought up all the competition there's not a lot of choice out there, but if you want to buy a WD buy it through a reputable retailer, not them.

Worthless crap

Completely useless product. A $130 drive that never worked in backup mode with my PC and worked with my MacBook Air precisely once and won't transfer files now regardless of what I do or what updates I download.

For the time being my drag/drop non-cloud solution for critical files is a 7 year old $10 5GB Lexar drive from the checkout line at Staples that while slow at least can perform the basic function it's designed for on either PC or Mac platforms. Going to shop very carefully for other options.

The worst company I have ever dealt with.

I would love to give them zero stars!! This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. I ordered a $130 product, and it never came. It told me “label created” and then nothing else for four weeks. So I finally contacted customer support. And for five months I have tried to get my money back or even just get what I ordered sent to me again and nope! I am beyond frustrated and basically I’ve just given up! You will waste your money on this company!!!! I would not recommend them to absolutely anyone. Zero stars.

O avuto la SFORTUNA di richiedere…

O avuto la SFORTUNA di richiedere assistenza per un Hardisk della WD.
Mai vista una assistenza della garanzia cosi fatiscente come quella della Western Digital.
Tutto parte il 14 settembre 2021 dove invio tramite UPS un Hardisk di 14 tetra in garanzia, passano i giorni
e settimane tutto tace così comincio a fare delle telefonate al centro assistenza per poter capire a che punto e’ il mio RMA all’inizio di dissero che avevano problemi con gli RMA, poi dissero che erano in attesa del modello nel loro magazzino, poi mi dissero che il mio modello era un problema di fuori produzione, poi mi proposero un modello in sostituzione dicendomi se per me era uguale, io pur di venirne a capo dico ok così risolvo il problema, dopo la loro offerta di un modello sostitutivo sono passati 22 giorni senza nessun riscontro di invio da parte loro, o richiamato l’assistenza per capire cosa succede e oggi mi sento dire che c’è un problema di parti elettroniche, vorrei capire la serietà di questa azienda si basa nel prendere in giro i propri clienti…? creando scuse Dai call center…?
Spero in un intervento da qualche responsabile della WD che capisca il mio stato di delusione.
Resto in attesa di concrete risposte in merito.

Bitte kaufen Sie nicht bei diesen Betrügern

Diese Firma verdient nicht mal einen Stern. Ich kaufe oft online, aber ich habe noch nie mit so einem unzuverlässigen Unternehmen zu tun gehabt. Seit dem Kauf sind ZWEI MONATE vergangen und Western Digital hat bisher noch nicht 500€ zurückerstattet.

Poor product support/customer service

I’ve been trying to replace an internal drive on my WD server that was purchased in 2014. I contacted their online support and ordered a drive that they assured me would work with my server. It did not. I contacted them again and after being transferred from one dept to another, I was unable to find information on a replacement for my server. I have to say, in my experience WD has the absolute worst customer service. Their sales personnel must not have any training. This server is only 7 years old and I can’t believe they do not carry a replacement drive for my server. If I had known I would be going through this I would never have purchased a WD server.

Stop buying products from this company

Stop buying products from this company, their customer support is absolute trash. I purchased 3 drives, and then once I received them (which took forever) I already had replacement drives, so I started the process to return the unused drives and get my refund. Over 1 month later, hours worth of phone calls to support, multiple emails, I still don't have my refund. No one at the company gives a care about your case and they won't ever escalate the issue or call you back. Every time I email or call, it's like starting the process over again. And still I'm out thousands of dollars. This company really should be out of business for the way they treat their customers.

This company is trash

This company is trash. I placed an order online and never got the items I ordered, they provide me a tracking number, when i check this number it says " label created " I it's been more then 2 weeks and still the same.
Please do yourself a favor don't buy nothing from this company.
If you do so, you are going to waste you money.

My 1 year old passport harddrive…

My 1 year old passport harddrive failed. Contacted WD in the UK and given an RMA and told two return it. Two weeks after it was received by them I have not had a replacement. Contacted them for a third time today telling me that they are waiting for someone else to return a faulty 3tb drive (same as mine) so this can be repaired and sent to me. What a joke these people are. I won't buy anothe WD drive

IF I COULD RATE THEM A "0" I WOULD!

If I could rate this company a "0" I would. On 9/1/2021 I paid for "Expedited Shipping" was charged a "$25.00 Non-Refundable Fee" to use this service; a "Hold" was placed on my card for the new drive until I returned the old one; and I was told it would be 24 to 48 hours for the new/replacement drive to ship out.

624hrs later, I was told "AGAIN" today it would be another "24 to 48 hours" before the replacement drive would ship out. (Yeah, it'll be another 24 to 48 on Thursday!)

When you call customer service, they tell you "Sir, no one can get in contact with the RMA team. You just have to wait 24 to 48 hours for a response and check the tracking number provided."

Yeah, great. I can get a tracking number by setting up a label with UPS (which they use) and won't get charged for creating that label until the package is dropped off and you pay for the shipping charges, or you pay for UPS to come and pick it up! So, a label was created last week, but nothing has shipped from WD's warehouse. How long does it take to pick, package and ship a portable hard drive????

Western Digital used to be a good, reliable company. NOT ANY MORE! I will NEVER recommend WD to another person from this point moving forward.

Terrible service

Terrible service, waited for more than 45 min in a queue to then have a representative post the following answer "Thank you for reporting the connectivity issue with your device.
We are aware and working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
We apologize for any inconvenience this interruption may have caused." followed immediatly by "That ends our conversation. Have a nice day" How can you call that a chat? there was no CHAT, i dont know whats wrong, i got no answer to the problem, nobody cared about it.....what the hell is this?

Mon WD elements de 12To ne passe pas plus de 20mo/s... sur un port Usb3.0 qui m'autorise habituellement et fréquemment plus de 120mo/s

Il mériterait une belle et jolie note de 0/5.
Achat d’un disque dur externe le 10/09/21. Envoi le 13/09/21. Aujourd’hui, n’ayant rien reçu, je les contacte par messagerie instantanée : le colis a été réexpédié par le transporteur, vous serez remboursé dans 10 jours après retour du colis (qui arrive on ne sait pas quand).
Je demande le remboursement immédiat pour acheter ce disque dur AILLEURS : Impossible !
Une pur et simple escroquerie… ils auront garder pendant 1mois 1/2 mon argent. Merci pour la considération donnée aux consommateurs et client.
