I bought a plastic shed...it was sent terribly, but there were no screws or brackets in the kit...the quality is disgusting...thin as a sheet...I'm asking for this item to be returned within a week Nobody took THIS item back... I've been waiting for a week... I'll be filing a complaint with the Discussant

I was served by a lovely lady called Amy she was so polite and friendly and listened to everything I said. Its such a refreshing change from the last time I came in was around 6 months ago and didn't have the best experience. I was going to swerve it but I needed something wickes sell that B and Q dont. Amy looked on the computer for me found what I needed and also advised on some other great products that I purchased. Thanks to this lovely lady I will be returning.

Delivery driver caused property damage. Even though I had evidence of damage they decided to take the drivers account. What happened to customer is always right? I reported the incident straight away to Wickes York. The management team used the wrong email to send through my claim. No phone calls from them and no apologies. Shocking customer service lead by equally incompetent management. Avoid at all costs.

Mo helped with ordering some materials for delivery and suggested the trade card to save some money. Very friendly and spent time helping us. Thankyou.

What amazing service i have just received from the york Clifton Moor team. Lady called Gloria initially served me with a click and collect and kindly found Finn to help me with carrying two heavy bags of compost yo the car. Extremely helpful and would use Wickes services again without any hesitation.

Extensive remedial work and prolonged delays

This review concerns our experience of Wickes’ bathroom installation and aftercare.

Wickes installed an upstairs bathroom and a downstairs shower room for us.We reported problems including poor finishing, waste and mess left at the property, bare plywood beside the shower and beneath the basin, missing electrical isolation controls and no electrical certificate.

Following a technical assessment, Wickes produced a substantial schedule of remedial work. This included replacing chipped and badly cut tiles and incorrect trim, fitting isolation valves, checking the bath installation, making the electrics compliant, and dismantling and reinstalling significant parts of the downstairs shower room.

An electrician attended in September and the electrical certificate 3 month afterwards. However, in its formal written response, Wickes confirmed that the remaining remedial work was still outstanding and that no start date had been agreed. This was more than four months after we first formally reported the problems.

Wickes denied that it had breached the contract, but acknowledged that it needed to return to complete the remedial work and apologised for the inconvenience and time taken.

We found the installation quality, the excessive amount of chasing required and the prolonged delay unacceptable. Based on our experience, we would not use Wickes for bathroom installation again.

Visited Wickes York and was helped with 2 heavy bags of tarmac in-store by a friendly Ashton who put the bags from the shelf onto a trolley also he also kindly loaded them into my car.

I am 71yrs old and went to York Wickes for 2 bags of cement and 3 bags of sand all 25kgs. Adam the staff member was so friendly and found out I needed sharp sand not kiln dried, put them on the trolley and also loaded them into the car for me. What great service thanks !

This is my 2nd kitchen I have. bought from Wickes,The first one lasted 26 years and to be fair there was not much wrong with it, apart from I had had it 26 years and fancied a change.
We have just finished putting our 2nd kitchen in and I am over the moon with it. Not one piece was missing when it was delivered and Chris Fryer the sales man from Wickes could not have been more helpful,even calling to see how it was coming along when in the area designing for another customer. I would highly recommend buying a kitchen from Wickes. They are very reasonably priced too.

Came in to buy some screws and couldn’t find them so asked one of your colleagues who not only showed me where they were he helped me to find the correct size. Thank you to Calum he was very helpful and a polite young man.

We visited Wickes in York yesterday for a kitchen design, Josh was our designer and he was great from start to finish obviously we had ideas of our own but logistically it wouldn’t of worked because of our dimensions but Josh adapted it to the best of his ability to cater for what we were looking for. Definitely recommend using them

Wickes supplied doors to my joiner. One of the doors was so poor quality that you could see through one of the knots but only when fitted. Although wickes suppliers honoured their guarantee to replace the door, Wickes would not fund the refitting cost leaving me with the prospect of paying twice for this.
Not sure if customer service is just AI as they provide encouraging response only to come back later and say no. Would not recommend using this company.

I wanted to order a few bits as a present for a friend, online ordering & payment couldn't have been easier - delivery is a nightmare, the order was split into two & both original delivery dates were missed - a simple gift turned into multiple emails & hours of waiting around. Delivery was arranged for Tuesday & at this point, Friday - only half of it is there.

Josh completely understood my reason for considering a kitchen replacement. He was very friendly and thorough and gave me confidence that you can deliver the kitchen to make my life much easier within my budget.
I now need to make an appointment to visit the showroom to make my choice and discuss a plan. I’m very impressed with your response so far and look forward to meeting with Josh in York showroom

Visited the store last night around 19;15. Staff were incredibly helpful and a real pleasure to converse with. Young man - I regret I can’t remember his name (4 letters; Adam?!!) very tall - well over 6’ & showed me his bike! - offered to put heavy bags of slate in my car. He even pushed the trolley out of the store for me. As I left smiling, I thought, “I’ve spent over £50 at Wickes but I never expected to enjoy myself so much!” You know why? Because the young staff are so engaging and helpful. Highly recommend and well done to them!
