I ordered a Holland and Cooper blouse in a size 8 worth £150 I tried the blouse on and it was too tight across the chest. I may have had it on for five minutes or so to see if it was comfortable.
As it was too tight, I returned it and ordered a size 10 which fit perfectly to my dismay the size 8 was returned with tags still attached and a note explaining that I was not entitled to a refund as the blouse had clearly been worn and strongly smelt of perfume.
Yes, there were some creases in the arms as to be expected with that type of fabric as there was in all other areas in the blouse when it arrived! I curiously sniffed it 🙈😂with no sent at all!!
Customer service very rude and would not budge in refunded me, even though I had already paid for a size 10.
Such poor customer service they need to get in the 21st century!
Luckily I used PayPal to purchase this item and after investigation they refunded me!
Never pays to use desperate measures William Powell!!!! Always look after your customers…. No1 rule in business.
Not even worth a one star
Not even worth a one star! Ordered few various items including leather belt..belt came scratched and as I needed smaller size I ordered a new one (twice paid postage)..to my surprise second belt came all creased and scratched..I contacted customer service who was really unhelpful with unprofessional approach let’s put it that way…all I was after was a decent NEW belt not from my point of view worn used item!..after unpleasant communication I decided to return other items too…I love supporting small businesses rather than corporates but expect customer service equal to amount I am spending there!
Schoffel - Poor quality product and customer service
I purchased a Schoffel Ptarmigan Extreme II Gore-tex jacket from William Powell, Banbury on 15th November 2022, cost £499. Unfortunately, the jacket has various faults including a popper on the pocket falling off and the main zip becoming unstitched from the body of the jacket. William Powell is unable to exchange the jacket, on the advice of Schoffel, it should be returned and repaired, since this is more sustainable. I am now without a winter jacket, having paid a premium cost for what is, in my opinion, a poor quality product and lacking customer service.

I ordered a Harkila Sandhem Fleece Gilet from William Powell and it arrived the next working day with a genuine £20 discount even though it was out of stock on many other sites including Harkila themselves.
Not Great At All
I ordered some Musto trousers from theses guys.
Trousers were sized as a 32" waist. They arrived in the right time scale but size wise they are like clown trousers. 32" waist was more like a 36" and the legs were big enough for both of my legs. But these issues are Musto and not William Powell.
The issue though is that I paid £4.95 for delivery, £8.95 to return them and then when I was refunded they removed the from the refund for the original £4.95.
Honestly guys, it's 2023 not 1983. You need to move with the times. You're one of the only people I have dealt with in the past 10 years who has done this.
Also have a check of your product sizing and publish a size guide on the site so people like me aren't wasting their time.
Order did not arrive, shocking customer service
Similar to the other reviews. Order did not arrive. Had to keep chasing customer service to find out where it was. Customer service have blamed DPD, but have said i can only have a refund when DPD return the parcel. Shocking customer service, i would avoid.
Terrible service
Terrible service. After chasing where my delivery was, I finally got an email back 6 days after purchase to say the item was out of stock and they cancelled my order.

I ordered and paid next day delivery (needing the item for New Year), however it didnt arrive next day ! I emailed to complain but no one had got back so i went on live chat and all they can do is blame DPD. If you are going to order dont bother with the £10 next day delivery.

Absolutely exceptional company, after deliberating between 3 coats for my wife, I called William Powell and spoke to an incredibly helpful, patient and knowledgeable lady. I was confused by odd sizing. The support and help was exceptional. Coat ordered Friday pm, arrived Saturday pm. Great products, amazing prices, professional service. Highly recommended.
Never again!
Never again! Ordered a jumper for my wife. Arrived but didnt fit (and heres me thinking a size 10 was a size 10 in all jumpers) went to change it but they didnt have a smaller one so sent it back for a refund but refunded the money less £4.95 shipping despite them not having the correct size! There are plenty of other companies selling the same stuff with a customer service which William Powell clearly dont have!
Terrible Customer Service
Item was delivered to wrong address by Delivery Company. William Powells refused to refund delivery charge and asked me to take it up with the delivery company. Told them that my contract was with them not the delivery company. I paid the delivery charge in good faith for a service I did not receive. Still refused to refund. I explained that had I not spend an hour tracking the parcel down they would have been out alot more but they still refused. They said they will have to take it up with the delivery company first. I had send all pictures of where the parcel was delivered to from the Delivery Company Confirmation email etc. Still refused to refund. Said I had to wait for them to raise it with the delivery company. They already have my payment so why can they not refund me and wait for the delivery company to refund them.
Was going to order alot more for xmas presents but no way will I be using them again. Terrible customer service!!!
AVOID MAIL ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY
I purchased a jumper for my husband as a Christmas present on the 24.10.21. It was too small, so I emailed on the 27.12.21 to ask for an exchange for a larger size. Unsurprisingly, as it was just after Christmas, I got no response. With one thing and another it was only on the 25.01.22 I realised I had not had a response. I rang and was told by Customer Services that only items purchased after 01.11.21 could be exchanged, so I was too late. Nicky French the Customer Services Manger refused to exchange or refund as it was out of their returns period. So I am left with a jumper that I do not want. What customer service is that. Be warned if you buy mail order from this company.
Very disappointing experience
As the website didn't work when I wanted to place an order, I did it by phone and was told it would be delivered by DPD this week.
Although William Powell had my contact details, I never received an email confirming the order or a message from DPD to enable me to track delivery.
DPD left two cards saying it had been unable to deliver. I checked online and found the parcel had been returned.
When I phoned William Powell today, the person I spoke to said she would arrange for it to be re-sent once it was received. She didn't apologise or seem concerned that there had clearly been a problem with their ordering system.
This very off-putting and I am unlikely to order anything from them again.

Very very disappointed
Very very disappointed. Bought a coat for £200 in Aug. Its now Nov and just had an email saying it won't be in until Dec. I chose a different coat that was available for £179 but I could get it for £159 in many other shops so I asked if they could price match seeing as I had been waiting since August. Sadly they were absolutely not interested and wouldn't even do it out of goodwill . Obv I have requested my money back and I will buy it cheaper elsewhere. Very poor service e and very disappointed. Only gave 1 star so I could write this review .

Excellent service. Ordered some boots and had a nightmare trying to return them due to courier - nothing wrong with them just needed a different size. Nikki from customer services really helped to take the stress out of the situation, will definitely use William Powell again.

Just recently purchased a shooting jacket from William Powell, and I am beyond pleased! The jacket fits perfectly, and was offered at a reasonable price! Additionally, shipping was expedient, and a company catalogue was included, which I have enjoyed flicking though. I will definitely shop here again, and highly recommend

Paid £290 for a pair of wellington boots, 18 months later they leaked ( stitching failed). Customer service wasn't interested in trying to get them repaired or returned, so I had to speak to the manufacturer directly.
