Beware of vehicles bought here
I bought a used pickup truck in Portadown, they charged fees on fees to start, the original £8k turned intonearly £11. I couldn't do a full inspection, but was sold as a fully working vehicle. Afterwards (about 2weeks) a garage inspected it and refused to let me take it out of the yard. Basically the chassis was completely rotted through, the fuel tank was being held on by a wire and the brakes were working on magic. It's a miracle I wasn't killed on a road somewhere. I rang them up about it and was basically told, that's your problem. They have no problems selling dangerous vehicles and taking anyone's money. In the end I had to sell it for parts and I'm still paying back the loan for the experience . Thanks Wilson you unscrupulous lot
Hiddens fees
Recently won a car on the online auction and it clearly states online theres no fees for cars over 5000 pound and that all VAT was included, I then received an invoice and they added 10% charge ontop of the price and they also charged me 20% VAT on the charge 😂, I understand if there’s a fee but this being my first time on the auction site, I would expect the information on the website to be correct especially since you expect me to pay a 500 pound deposit.
Also for a company that started in Northern Ireland you would expect the fees to be better here were the company was created, 10% fees and VAT on everything over 5000 is robbery
Your other sites clearly state there fees and not only that but they seem to be much cheaper than the nothern Ireland brunches,, There’s only one winner in the nothern Ireland auctions and it’s not the buyer or seller.

I took my Nissan QuashQai on Wednesday and it sold on Friday. The staff were really helpful and professional she explained what would happen and what I needed to do. It was very simple and quick as a customer you do very little. The member of staff kept me updated and I got a good result. For a hassle free helpful experience I would definitely take my car here again. Thank you
New website truly backwards & they sell out of date beverages
Used them for many years but the car crash of their "new website" is truly awful. Horrifically worse to use than the old one - you can't even search an auction for keywords.
Bought beverages from them and discovered they were well past their Best Before date. Wilsons confirmed this and said they would refund but never did despite many, many emails. I just had to write it off as a loss. Can you sell products past their Best Before date without informing customers?
Do not buy food or drink from Wilsons Auctions.
Wilson Auction False Wilson's Assured Report and Poor Customer Service…
Wilson Auction provides Wilson's Assured service which validates state of car for buyers. Online buyers rely on this record to inform their bid pricing. However, on purchasing a car, I discovered that the car had 'Check Engine Light On', which was not on their report. On approaching the team, the manager did not reply my email for 1 month, then called to inform me that the assurance only covers up until the car leaves the yard. Neglecting the fact the majority of online buyers send recovery drivers to collect the car and will not bid same price on a car that has 'Check Engine Light On' and one that doesn't. Overall, I employ all prospective online buyers who do not intend to collect car in person to avoid this site, as their vehicle report might not reflect the state of the car and are only covered until car is collected. NB: Car engine light can be cleared with OBD device and will reappear once car is driven (so, either their assessment device was faulty on this occasion or it was a deliberate fraudulent sales scam). Avoid Like The Plague
How have these people even got an auctioneer license? The descriptions in their auction of Ashbrook Garden Centre stock are shocking: very non-specific, incorrect names/numbers, lack of details on dimensions & voltages, vague narratives, spelling errors, no reserves on anything, and prices too good to be true.
It is the only online auction house I've ever encountered where you are required to pay a deposit (€200!) to register interest in the auction, and also the only one where you are required to upload personal photo identification. Shame on Ashbrook Garden Centre.

Their website is absolutely shocking at the moment, but even normally to register for sales it is nearly impossible, I have been trying for the last hour and it is the same thing everytime. It is buggy as hell, it never seems to go through to the payment page for some reason it is impossible to register a new auction registration on an existing account.
To actually do business with they are terrible, they hang onto your deposit and you have to contact them to have it refunded, I suspect this is a scam as the deposits are auction specific so there is no reason for them to hang onto them if you haven't bought anything. They are not accommodating for viewing or picking up, you have a window of a couple days and that is it. I have found Wilsons impossible to do business with and it's my 5th or 6th time trying.
Wilson's Auctions Mallusk.
Sold my car through Wilson's at Mallusk. Quick and easy, Richard and John were professional and easy to talk to, they made the process very easy - the girls at reception were efficient and polite.
My car was entered into the auction the next day despite arriving late as a result of being let down by Agnew's recovery to transport my car to Mallusk.
I'd use Wilson's again. Thank you.

we have just started using Wilson’s car auction in Telford. It’s got to be said Wilsons are very professional. The staff can’t do enough to help you and a very polite and helpful and the standards of cars are very high which is what we’re looking for. first time there on Friday and bought three cars , we will be definitely back the next Friday 👌well done Wilsons keep up the good work👏👏👏

We use this auction house regularly, and I can confidently say that their service is consistently exceptional. The team is always professional, attentive, and dedicated to ensuring a seamless experience for their clients. I would like to extend a special thank you to Andy, whose commitment to customer satisfaction truly stands out. On one occasion, I purchased two vans that were missing their V5 docs. Despite this not being his responsibility, Andy took this upon himself to chase them up on my behalf, without me having to ask.
His proactive and helpful approach is greatly appreciated.

My high value items were returned damaged & full of mould . Absolutely disgusting the way my belongings were returned . Shameful & disrespectful I will be taking action against there lack of duty of care.

Be careful what you spend your money on
I won a few lots in an online auction but many of them were delivered wrongly so I returned them and asked for a refund but after more than a year and many emails and time spent talking to no avail I ran out of items, and with the money taken.
Be careful with the auctioned lots, often the photos do not reflect their real condition, they may be very used or damaged, but nicely packaged, the description is useless, and you will not be compensated if you do not inspect the lots on the spot.
At the same time, you should know that the amount you bid is not the amount you will have to pay. To this is added the VAT, their commission and the VAT of their commission, making the final payment more often more than the value of the product.
Recently someone hacked my account, I suspected it was a technical issue or security breach so I asked for a password reset, but instead they restricted my account access, so be careful with them.
Poor customer service, no resolution of issues
I took part in an online auction of model trains and accessories. I won three items - 1 model train and 2 accessories.
When I collected the items the train was missing as it had been given out with another batch of items to a different bidder. I was assured it would be resolved.
I contacted the auction house on numerous occasions and was passed onto the site manager who assured me it would be resolved.
I spent 4 months trying to chase this and to date I have not received the item or a refund.
Would not recommend
Was participating in one of Wilson property auctions today online , would not recommend dealing with them , they finished the bid while people were still actively bidding , again would not recommend, use I am sold or bidx instead for auctions
Dishonest & Non Professionalism
Very BAD experience. Want to bid on one of property and tried Online Bidding. But app was not working. Tried to contact on telephone but no one pickup the phone. One person did pick and told me that their IT department have an issue and have to wait to bid as it will be resolved. I kept calling but again no picks up the phone. And when picked up, was for telling me that bidding is finished. Seems suspicious, feels like they don't want general people to participate in the bid as it was for some of specific people only. A day before the auction, I had called their office to discuss, what are the options, if Online bidding did not work. They assured me that it will work and don't have to worry about it. But at the end, they sell the property where they want to sell it. Very Bad experience.

Watch out bad service , they tell lies in their inspection report, Fraudulent of misrepresentation, Steer clear , if you buy, do not buy over online, Check car out yourself in yard throughout, Bad service and very Rude .

Given the fact I never bought before on the online platforms I decided to contact Wilsons to see how you did this, from the first contact with Wilsons auctions I was connected to a lady called Yanina, I was very very impressed from my first communication, Yanina explained the process from start to finish, which give me alot of confidence in the online auction, the item's I bought where exactly as described online, thank you Yanina
