Overall, I had a mixed experience with this lettings agency. On the positive side, they did a great job representing their clients and showcasing the property — my viewing was well-organised and informative. The agent was professional, courteous, and able to answer all my questions, which made the initial stages of the process smooth and positive. Communication with the team was generally good, and I appreciated how responsive they were throughout.

However, where I feel the agency missed the mark was in how rushed the process felt once things progressed beyond the viewing. There seemed to be little flexibility or understanding around shifting timelines, even when changes were due to personal circumstances. Despite offering to pay the full rent upfront — just 48 hours later than their ideal timeline — I still received follow-ups that felt unnecessarily pushy, especially after I had already confirmed that I would sign the tenancy agreement and pay the holding deposit/admin fee by 11am (two hours later than their requested 9am).

In the end, while they were professional in many ways, a little more understanding and adaptability around timing would have made the experience much more positive.

We had a great experiencing with Winchester White. Sarah was very professional, and helped to smooth the process in determining what was helpful to the landlord and us in negotiating the process. Sarah was also very responsive and experienced in advising on next steps and any queries we had with renting. Highly recommended!

He is professional, friendly and seems to take a genuine interest in helping with your property search (unlike some other agents in other larger companies!). My flatmate and I were searching for a property very urgently and had really bad experiences with agents in the past.

I can honestly say Winchester White was the best agency we have dealt with. In particular, because of Jessica Richards.

Not only did she find us somewhere extremely fast, she also listened to what we needed, kept continuous communication and had such a clear process to securing the property. She was open, honest and personable which had made the world of a difference during such a stressful time looking to move.

Filipa has gone out of her way to help us find a property. She has been so kind, supportive and efficient. She has really listened to our needs and has been so intentional in finding the right types of properties for us. We feel really lucky to have worked with such a wonderful individual.

It’s all great and smooth until you try to move out and get your deposit back. Then all the fun begins.
I rented the property remotely and was lucky the flat turned out ok. Until it did not. The mice found it’s way in, and Winchester took forever to respond, and I in the end scheduled my own pest control. When that did not help, and I asked for repeat service, Winchester and landlord told me it is my problem now. Ok, I dealt with it myself.
Then the time came for me to move out, I mean, of course I did not receive my full deposit back. Shockingly, it was not due to all too familiar excuse that I did “damage” to the flat. The flat was left in a great state. They withheld 400 pounds because landlord “got hit” by late gas bill. Where is this bill and how gas company got to the landlord and why was I not asked about it first remains a mystery (I obviously paid the bills). I moved out of two other flats in the past and always got full deposit back, so this experience will ensure I never cross paths with this company again

Highly recommend Winchester White estate agent, and Sarah in particular. Her communication has been excellent, from fitting me in for a last minute viewing, to securing the property for us and getting everything signed and sealed very quickly. Thank you so much.
