I am extremely disappointed with my experience with WRLife Insurance.
I purchased this policy in good faith, expecting that in the event of a serious medical condition I would receive the coverage and support outlined in the insurance agreement. Unfortunately, when I required urgent medical treatment and surgery, my claim was denied.
According to my MRI and medical evaluation, I was diagnosed with a complex medial meniscus tear, with additional involvement of the posterior cruciate ligament. This is an acute condition that occurred suddenly and resulted in significant functional impairment, not a pre-existing or purely degenerative issue as the company classified it.
From a legal and contractual standpoint, I believe this denial raises serious concerns. The refusal to cover my treatment appears inconsistent with the principles of good faith, fair claims handling, and the insurer’s obligation to properly assess medical evidence. Reclassifying an acute injury as “degenerative” without sufficient justification may be considered an unfair claims practice.
Additionally, I experienced a lack of timely and transparent communication after submitting my appeal, which further undermines trust and raises questions about compliance with standard insurance regulations and customer protection principles.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend WRLife Insurance to anyone who expects reliable coverage, fair assessment of medical claims, and proper support during critical health situations.
Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for your response.
However, I must respectfully disagree with your conclusion and would like to address several important points.
First, the classification of my condition as “degenerative” is not sufficiently justified. The medical findings (including MRI results) indicate a clear traumatic injury, which in my understanding cannot reasonably be classified as purely degenerative.
I would also like to emphasize that a doctor at Bangkok Hospital did not agree with your conclusion. In addition, orthopedic surgeons in Thailand (including IK Hospital) have also reviewed my case and explicitly disagreed with your assessment, considering such a conclusion to be medically unfounded in the presence of a meniscus tear, ligament injuries, and a bone fracture in a young and physically active individual.
This raises a fundamental question: on what medical basis can such acute traumatic injuries be classified as degenerative and age-related?
In this regard, I formally request:
- A detailed written medical justification of your decision
- The exact policy clauses applied to deny the claim
- The full name, qualifications, and specialization of the medical professional(s) and/or medical commission responsible for this assessment
Please note that I am currently collecting all pre-operative and post-operative medical reports, as well as independent medical opinions, and I intend to pursue this matter through legal channels.
This information is necessary for me to proceed with an official legal evaluation of your decision.
Additionally, a general reference to “degenerative conditions” is not sufficient without precise justification and clear correlation with my specific diagnosis.
Regarding communication, I must also note that I did not receive sufficiently clear and timely responses during earlier stages of this process, which has significantly limited my ability to respond appropriately.
Given the above, I formally request reconsideration of my case based on a thorough, transparent, and objective review.
Additionally, I would like to inform you that doctors at Bangkok Hospital, as well as specialists in Vietnam at WK Hospital, do not agree with your conclusion. Official written medical statements confirming this position will be obtained and submitted as part of my case.
I remain open to resolving this matter in a fair and professional manner.
Kind regards,
Aleksander Poyedyntsev

Not Recommended.
This insurance company is not reliable nor trustworthy.
The communication is not professional or existent if you have a problem.
I paid for one year upfront and when I had a case where I needed the coverage they didnt cover.
I canceled the policy with 3 month left in my contract. They replied with asking a few documents and my bank account. I never got a confirmation about the cancelation nor did I get a reimbursement.

I was told to just present my card for direct payment but it wasn't accepted so I had to pay in cash, It was a difficult process to get reimbursed, like other insurance companies they accept your money readily but trying to get it back from them is difficult and a process!!

Before my surgery on 18/12/2025 I spoke with the staff at Sriphat Medical Center who assured me that Inpatient expenses would be paid directly by the insurer. This didn’t happen so I had to pay the total amount of about 132000 Baht myself before leaving the hospital.
So I sent every receipt and invoice I had received from Sriphat to the insurer. After about a month I was informed that I was not entitled to any reimbursement because I hadn’t disclosed that I had a colon cancer 12 years ago. This suggested that I was deceitful was concerning to me. So I asked to see the form that I had completed showing where I had lied about the previous cancer. They never showed me the form.
So I contacted the surgeon from Sriphat and he concluded with medical evidence that there was no correlation between the two cancers. I sent his response to the insurer and then after a further delay they said they would look into it and then they agreed to pay about 60000 Baht which was less than half the claim
So I queried the shortfall and again after a further delay they said that they would look into it.
Finally, I received notification that I would receive a final payment of about 60000Baht.
So I paid the hospital on 20/12/2025 and received the refund on 25/02/2026. The difference being 76 days.
The agent has been most unhelpful even suggesting that the surgeon was wrong in his assessment.
The insurer has been overly difficult and tardy with its response all at a time when I have been stressed with ongoing chemotherapy treatment.

I live in Thailand and have been insured with WrLife for several years. I haven't had any problems with this insurance so far. Hospital stays were billed directly to the hospitals. After submitting the necessary documents, I always received prompt reimbursement for outpatient treatments, in accordance with the terms of my policy. Based on my personal experience, I can highly recommend this insurance.

Nachtrag:

When our daughter was diagnosed with a serious medical condition, our world was turned upside down. The treatment was long, complex, and came with substantial medical costs — but through it all, WrLife stood firmly by our side.
From the very first moment, every claim was processed quickly and without complication. There were no endless forms, no arguments, and no hidden delays — just genuine help when we needed it most. The entire team at WrLife demonstrated professionalism and compassion beyond expectation.
A special thank you to the team, whose personal check-ins and sincere concern for our family went far beyond their roles. Their ongoing support reminded us that WrLife is not just an insurance company — it’s a company that truly cares about the people it protects.
Today, our daughter is in full remission and living a healthy, happy life — and we know that WrLife played a significant role in making that possible.
When life brings unexpected medical challenges and overwhelming bills, WrLife has proven that they respond not with questions, but with support, speed, and genuine compassion.
We will be with WrLife for life. Thank you for standing by us when we needed it most.
