Good insurance and very good follow up in bangkok

My personal experience with WR Life is unfortunately negative. My customer account shows that my insurance cover ends on 14 May 2025. At the same time, I have paid monthly premiums since then. I therefore contacted WR Life by email on 29 September, 1 October and 3 October 2025 ( contact AT wrlife DOT net ) and asked for written confirmation of my insurance status. In the event that there was no insurance cover, I also requested an immediate refund of the overpaid premiums. I did not receive a reply to any of these messages within six days. Reliable and prompt communication is essential for a health insurance company, because in an emergency, health and life are at stake. This kind of behaviour is not befitting of a reputable provider.

Contact us immediately to clarify the status and refund premiums if necessary.

Addendum06.10.2025 : You have to think about that! Someone writes a review and includes their insurance number! The only comment about WR Life is... "It's a jealous competitor." This should show everyone how dubious WR Life truly is. Instead of contacting the customer to find a solution, they just write that the review comes from a jealous competitor. Absolutely dubious, never use this insurance company!!!

Je me suis cassé un os du pied et j'ai été au Bangkok Hospital de Pattaya pour un montant d'environ 13,000 THB (radios etc, anesthésie locale, intervention d'un Chir Orthopédiste et médicaments).

J'ai fais une première réclamation qui n'est pas passée car les documents de l'hôpital n'était pas assez précis, sans détails.

L'assurance m'a informé de la démarche à effectuer auprès de l'hôpital pour obtenir tous les documents et leur demander la prochaine fois.

J'ai obtenu mes documents, la claim a été accepté et j'ai été remboursé en totalité en moins de 3 jours.

Un conseil : Si vous allez au BKK Hospital de Pattaya , à la caisse demandez bien le " Total Cost detail " , ça vous évitera de perdre du temps et d'y retourner pour demander.

Pour ma part , 2 claims en 1 an et j'ai toujours été remboursé.

I had a serious heart attack during workout which needed immediate implementation of a stent/balloon. The total cost (operation, ICU, examinations etc.) were THB 420000,- which were fully accepted/paid by WRLife at the date of release.

A little pity that at the beginning there were communications issues between the hospital and the insurance rgd. contract/payment, which finally were sorted out within 3 days.

I had a motorbike accident and contacted my insurance company WR life who refused to pay out saying that the damage I done could not have been on a motorbike and I probably been in a fight. At one point they said if I changed my story to say I had been in a fight they would pay the claim.To say I been in a fight is quite ridiculous and I can’t quite understand that I would have my collar bone broken four places in a fight
The company is so unprofessional that I was dealing directly with the chief executive who has on many occasions, accuse me of lying with no substance to accusations. I have since tried to ensure with other brokers and on three occasions, I’ve been told they do not deal with WR life as they have a reputation for not paying out. Buyer be warned. There response is absolutely crap. One and three brokers in Thailand won’t use WR life because they don’t pay out. Fact. They band around loads of lies try every trick not to pay out to suggest that I was drunk. I had a blood test and it was clear. Shame they fell to mention that. please look this company up on the Internet and you will see how many bad reviews they have.

I’ve been paying for the wrlife insurance for about 2 years. Not long time ago I was bitten by dog, so after that I was needed to get some vaccine. I was trying to contact insurance company to know information about the hospital and about the opportunity to get guarantee payment for my treatment. They responded me and asked me to provide name of the clinic to check if they can work with them. Also they told me that they don’t see my payment status for the last month of insurance. I answered them by letter and provided information about the clinic that I want to get treatment in, also I provided the latest payment information for my insurance. After that, I didn’t get any answer back from the insurance company during several days. I tried to contact with them via different contact forms and I haven’t get any response. In my opinion health insurance company should provide faster client service

Completely unprofessional. I have recently subscribed for my son and myself. Not only they increased their price within 1 week time because of the earthquake in bangkok, but they keep denying coverage for every single matter for unexplained reasons. A clear “no” by email and that is it.
They do not even suggest a solution.
Everything is an excuse, even the hospital has been surprised by how rude and unprofessional they are.
I definitely not recommend, especially if you have kids with some unexpected little emergencies.

This company is a scam. I pay for one year cash all the price to be full cover. I have accident 7 months after, they never pay for hospital. They not give any credible reason.
I think they buy fake comments because 1 years before and I have screenshots they have 2 in trustpilots.

Mir wurde schriftlich per Police garantiert, dass nach einem Jahr ohne Beschwerden sämtliche Vorbehalte betreffend Vorerkrankungen erlöschen.
In der neuen Police vom 2. Jahr waren dann wirklich alle Vorerkrankingen verschwunden.
in Tat und Wahrheit war es nur eine Vorerkrankung.
Die anderen wären sowieso von meiner damaligen Unfallversicherung gedeckt gewesen.
Als ich dann, wie es der Teufel will, tatsächlich starke Schmerzen bekam und von einem Arzt in Thailand aufgefordert wurde ein Spital aufzusuchen habe ich dies dem angeblichen VERSICHERUNGSAGENTEN M.K. gemeldet und angezeigt.
Er meinte dann zu mir, es wäre besser, ich würde in die Schweiz reisen und mich dort auf eigene Kosten behandeln lassen.
Sein Chef hätte gesagt, dass diese Erkrankung, welche mein Hausarzt diagnostizierte, von der Versicherung nicht gedeckt würde, da es sich um eine Vorerkrankung handeln würde.
Exakt diese Vorerkrankung wurde nach einem Jahr aus der Police entfernt.
Nachdem ich M.K. die Papiere mit dem Operationstermin und den voraussichtlichen Kosten (max. 200000 THB) gegeben hatte, kam der nächste Hammer.
Diese Vollidioten von der VR Life verlangten von mir einen exakten Kostenvoranschlag mit allen Details.
Dies war aber unmöglich, denn die Ärzte musste ja zuerst mit einem Katheter das Herz untersuchen und dann entscheiden, welche Operation die Sinnvollste wäre.
Diesen Kostenvoranschlag konnte mir das Spital nicht genauer geben, das sie selber nicht wussten, was sie genau finden würden und dann auch gleichzeitig operieren würden.
Die Kosten würden aber die 200000 THB keinesfalls übersteigen.
So haben wir uns entschlossen, die Kosten selber zu tragen.
Als wir dann in Vorkasse gehen mussten, haben wir dem Krankenhaus meine Versicherungspolice gezeigt und sie gebeten, die VR Live zu informieren dass ich heute operiert werde.
Als die für die Finanzen zuständigen Leute die Police sahen, haben sie nur lachend den Kopf geschüttelt und und erklärt, dass sie mit so einer miserablen Firma nicht zusammen arbeiten und von denen auch keine Kostengutsprachen akzeptieren würden.
Dieses Spital, welches sich in Bangkok befindet wurde mir übrigens von M.K. als Vertragskrankenhaus der VR Life empfohlen.

Nachdem wir in Vorkasse gingen wurde ich dann operiert.
Das Spital war super und top ausgestattet.
Super Personal und topmoderne Apparaturen.
Meine Frau durfte bei mir in der 24. Etage (Einer Zimmer) Intensivstation schlafen.
Hat sogar Essen bekommen wie jeder andere Patienten.
Am 3, Tag durfte ich das Spital verlassen und bin seither (3.Maerz 2025) völlig Beschwerdefrei.
Beim Austritt hat meine Frau von der Kasse des Spitals 146000 THB zurück erhalten.
Die ganze Operation und Unterkunft für 2 Nächte hat also gerade mal 54000 THB gekostet.

ICH VOLLIDIOT HABE DIESEM IDIOTEN UND ABZOCKER MONATLICH 9000 THB PRAEMIEN BEZAHLT.

LASST DIE HAENDE WEG VO DIESER UNSERIOESEN MOECHTEGERE VERSICHERUNG.

Scammers, be aware this company doesn't pay one cent more than you pay for insurance... And the worst thing they didn't care that you are sick and can't pay all expenses... This happened with my wife and son, now this name of insurance makes me feel nervous and angry, please be careful pay more and use good insurance, this company is far away from normal...
Update 09.04.2025 you scam again people with this answer and even not asking me what happened and in which country... Once again you show with your answer who you are and how professional you are, I read after my case so many bad experience from other people and you deleted account from Google reviews because there you have one and half stars that is your real quality of services! J'ai souscrit une assurance santé sur WRLIFE. Je payé tous les 6 mois, donc j' ai payé du 1er octobre au 31 mars inclus. Le 1er mars j'envoie un mail pour leur signaler que je stoppe mon contrat le 31 mars. Le 12 et le 18 mars j'envoie à M. LORENTZ Patrick des factures de consultations et pharmacie. J'attends 48 heures, mais je ne vois rien venir. J'envoie un mail, toujours à Lorentz Patrick, et ce dernier me répond: Vous ne serez pas remboursé, car votre compte est clos depuis le 1er mars. Je resignal que j'ai payé jusqu'au 31 mars INCLUS. On croit rêver. Si c'est c'est pas de l'arnaque où du vol, alors je n'y connais rien en escroquerie.
Dernière chose à signaler, monsieur Lorentz Patrick a donné son avis sur WRLIFE en temps que client, or il travaille pour WRLIFE. C'est lui qui s'occupe de mon compte. Donc il a commis un faux. WRLIFE à bannir.

My wife and I have been living in the Philippines for 2 years.
As our current insurance has increased the premiums considerably, we are looking for a new health insurance company and came across WRLIFE.
I researched WRLIFE and found the website, but what unsettled me were the many negative reports.
You can also see no financial data for this insurance company.
It is said that the place of jurisdiction is in London, but that is not true.
The place of jurisdiction is in the Caribbean on Nevis and St. Kitts, which would make things more difficult if you were to take legal action. Who has time to be there during a hearing? That would be impossible.
When I asked WRLIFE, I got various answers, which confused me.
Where is WRLIFE's place of jurisdiction?
What are WRLIFE's financial figures? Other insurance companies actually publish their figures.
What does WRLIFE mean by a pre-existing condition? What if a pre-existing condition exists but I don't know it, and it isn't detected during an examination? No customer who doesn't have a medical background can say whether you have a pre-existing condition.
All questions that I would like to have answered before I decide to take out this insurance.

I received an answer from Wrlife, but none of my questions were answered, and I was called a liar.

I received the information I have written down here from a WRLIFE broker.

This behavior on the part of WRLIFE raises questions about whether this insurance company is trustworthy.

This is not how you treat potential new customers

Over 30 5* reviews in the last couple of weeks? Get real.

This doesn’t match my experience of an incredibly rude telephone response when I asked why my claim had been refused. I was told I didn’t disclose my history, which is nonsense.

This is just an excuse to not pay expensive claims.

They are registered in the UK as a broker but on the island of Nevis as an insurance company, same owner, this is nothing but a Ponzi scheme with a few low-value claims paid out of new premiums.

As others have pointed out, at least 7 of the top reviews have been made by officers or associates of WRLife.

Avoid this get rich quick scheme at all costs.

I have been insured by WR Life for many years.
I have the Serenity Plan USD$ 200,000 inpatient cover.
I have been hospitalised once during all this time, & WR Life paid my full hospital bill directly to Synphaet Hospital in Kanchanaburi, Thailand.
I did not pay a cent!
Last week I was with a friend that I had previously recommended to WR Life.
He too has the Serenity USD$ 200,000 cover.
He was admitted to Samitivej Hospital in Bangkok for 3 days with food poisoning.
He provide the hospital with his passport & Health insurance certificate.
The Hospital contacted WR Life for approval.
WR Life gave the approval(GOP) & paid my friends entire hospital bill directly to Samitivej Hospital.
He too, did not pay a cent!

Pessima assicurazione rifiuta ed altera a suo pro le affermazioni ospedaliere. Nonostante l'Ente ospedaliero riportasse una diagnosi ben precisa con tanto di analisi ecc. La Wrlife si rifiutava di coprire la degenza inventandosi la storiella di una malattia polmonare preesistente, fra l'altro grave. L'ospedale ha protamente dichiarato che il problema non era preesistente e non era assolutamente quello a cui si e appellata Wrlife, ma era una semplice polmonite batterica. Mentre scrivo sono perfettamente guarito e disponibile ad ogni verifica.Da evidenziare che è da 2 anni che assicurato con loro e mai ho chiesto rrimborsi ecct. .Attenzione, pensateci prima di assicurarvi con loro.

Non credo di essere né bugiardo né superficiale come chi ha scritto la risposta. la diagnosi che mi ha affibbiato Wrlife, ed ancora non ha spiegato perché è quella di copd.... praticamente avrei i bronchi ed i polmoni ostruito in maniera irreversibile. Terrible experience with them, not just the fact they didnt accept my claim, which can be argued about, and i wanted to better understand why they refused the claim, so i called them, but when i was on the phone with their Bangkok office, they were SO RUDE to me!!

When addressing a customer, particularly one experiencing significant medical issues, I would expect a more understanding and compassionate approach.

Instead, the representative repeatedly provided the same generic response, refused to address my straightforward questions, refused to give me her name !!!

And concluded the call by saying, "I’m going to hang up now; there are many more customers waiting," before abruptly hanging up. This behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on this company’s values.

I was 2 years with them (with my wife and 2 kids) and was about to renew for a 3rd year, but of course i wont.

Stay away from them !

Hände weg. Das ist keine Versicherung. Nennt sich auch SBC oder ähnlich. Hat den Sitz irgendwo und wird von einem Patrik Lorentz geleitet. Alle Massage gehen über ihn. Hat vergessen Beiträge abzubuchen. Keinen sinnvollen Kontakt mit mir. Wollte Nachzahlung für ungültige Policen. Findet Beiträge nicht und fordert Nachzahlung. Höchstwahrscheinlich wird es keine Leistungen geben. Gerichtsstand ist irgendeine Insel.

Having had a fairly serious domestic accident requiring 6 days of hospitalization, I sent all the necessary documents to my agent in Koh Samui, who forwarded them to the head office.
Neither my agent nor I have received any response from the insurer.
We have written several emails, and the company remains unanswered.
I feel like I'll never see my money back.
Remember to find out about the seriousness before you start, too late for me. As soon as I receive the reimbursement of the care and hospitalization costs (if any) , I will cancel my contract
